This literature review begins with a broad analysis of generational differences, then explores the uniquely charged generational divide within the feminist community, examines the nuances of organized feminist women's philanthropy, and discusses leadership transition and succession in the philanthropic community. Based on conclusions from the literature review, the author includes recommendations for intentional succession planning using a feminist lens, the continued need for intergenerational dialogue and leadership development, and additional study on recently completed leadership transitions in existing women's foundations.
