The elector of Bavaria, and the mareschal de Villeroy saved themselves with the utmost dificulty. Several wagons of the enemy's vanguard breaking down in a narrow pass, obstructed the way ii such a manner, that the baggage and artillery could not proceed; nor could their tr00ps defile in order. The victorious horse being informed of this accident pressed on them so vigorously, that great numbers threw down their arms and submitted. The pursuit was followed through Judoigne till two o'clock in the morning, five leagues from the field of battle, and within two of Louvaine. In a word, the confederates obtained a complete victory.
