Unnecessary, because there is compelling evidence, as this Guide makes clear, that cervical cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable forms of cancer, as long as it is detected early and managed effectively. Unfortunately, the majority of women in developing countries still do not have access to cervical cancer prevention programmes. The consequence is that, often, cervical cancer is not detected until it is too late to be cured. An urgent effort is required if this situation is to be corrected. This Guide is intended to help those responsible for providing services aimed at reducing the burden posed by cervical cancer for women, communities and health systems. This was the greatest inspiration for him to work on cerrvical cancer prevention, and he edited this book to inspire others to initiate such programs in developing countries. A total sample size of 170 female health-care workers were recruited for this study. A descriptive cross-sectional design was utilized to assess utilization of cervical cancer screening services among female health-care workers. The data was collected through a self-administered questionnaire and consisted of six sections. The collected data were entered using Excel and later analysed using the "Statistical Package for Social Sciences 25". The data were presented using tables, a bar chart, frequency, and percentages. Furthermore, three null hypotheses were tested using chi square at 0.05 level of significance. Cervical cancer screening is a key to detect the pre-cervical cancer in an early stage, but it is rarely utilized in most developing countries and most cases are only diagnosed at a late stage of cervical cancer. The current screening level will not have any real effect to control cervical cancer unless female health-care workers are addressed since they act as a role model to the public.
