Book The Greatest Mystery Ever Revealed the Mystery of the Will of God

Download or read book The Greatest Mystery Ever Revealed the Mystery of the Will of God written by Bishop Michael Lee King and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2011-08-10 with total page 153 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The world has rehearsed many stories, fables and secrets since the fall of man, in an attempt to teach some moral lesson or ethical grace. However, the greatest mystery ever revealed was first hidden by God, Himself, in Himself, long before the first Adam was formed from the dust of the earth. This mystery, having been kept secret since the world began was revealed only after the last Adam, Jesus Christ, died, rose, ascended and returned as the Comforter on the day of Pentecost. This Book 1 begins the four volume journey revealing that Will of God that was made a mystery, concluding that Adam and Eve possessed the indwelling Spirit of God.

Book excerpt: God called Jesus to be His Christ. To be the Christ of God is to be His representative in all things. To be the Christ is to be God's agent, ambassador, and surrogate. The Christ of God is God for God appointed him as such. To be the Christ of God is to have God's power and the authority to act in the place of God. Within the pages of this book, this truth is explained and expounded upon. Within the pages of this book, the author explains the position, power, and prestige of the Christ. The author explains how the three pillars of eternity-the Creation, the Fall, and the Atonement-all testify of Christ. They point to Christ and his magnificent works. The author explains how Jesus is the foundation of eternity as he is the Creator, the Redeemer, and the Savior of the world. God choose Jehovah to be His Anointed one: His Christ. Jehovah, who in mortality was known as Jesus of Nazareth, had three grand missions to fulfill as the Christ. God had consecrated Jehovah to be the Creator of all things, the Redeemer all mankind from the Fall of Adam, and the Savior of all those who would believe on his name. Jesus fulfilled his role as "The Christ of God." (Luke 9:20) Within the sections of the book explaining Jesus's roles as Christ the Creator, Christ the Redeemer, and Christ the Savior, the author provides narratives of Christ's life. Beginning before "the beginning", the author provides a look at the deeds brought about because of Christ's love for the Father and for all mankind. Jesus is the Christ of God. Eternity rests upon his beautiful shoulders.

Book Christ as Creator Origins of a New Testament Doctrine

Download or read book Christ as Creator Origins of a New Testament Doctrine written by Sean M. McDonough and published by OUP Oxford. This book was released on 2009-11-26 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines the New Testament teaching that Christ was the one through whom God made the world. While scholars usually interpret this doctrine as arising from the equation of Jesus and the Wisdom of God, Sean McDonough argues that it had its roots in the church's memories of Jesus' miracles. These memories, coupled with the experience of spiritual renewal in the early church, established Jesus as the definitive agent of God's new creation in the New Testament writings and the teachings of the Early Church. Following the logic that 'the end is like the beginning' Christ was taken to be the agent of primal creation. This insight was developed in light of Old Testament creation texts, viewed from within a 'messianic matrix' of interpretation. God gives his Word, his Spirit, and his Wisdom to his Messiah from the very beginning; and the Messiah, the radiance of God's glory, establishes the cosmos in accordance with God's purposes. Creation is the beginning of messianic dominion; he rules the world he made. McDonough carefully substantiates his thesis through a detailed exegesis of the relevant New Testament texts in the context of related texts in Judaism and Greco-Roman philosophy. He concludes with a survey of the doctrine of Christ as Creator in the work of six theologians: Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Athanasius, Karl Barth, Jürgen Moltmann, and Wolfhart Pannenberg.

Book The Unfolding God of Jung and Milton

Download or read book The Unfolding God of Jung and Milton written by James P. Driscoll and published by University Press of Kentucky. This book was released on 2014-07-15 with total page 248 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this first extensive Jungian treatment of Milton's major poems, James P. Driscoll uses archetypal psychology to explore Milton's great themes of God, man, woman, and evil and offers readers deepened understanding of Jung's profound thoughts on Godhead. The Father, the Son, Satan, Messiah, Samson, Adam, and Eve gain new dimensions of meaning as their stories become epiphanies of the archetypes of Godhead. God and Satan of Paradise Lost are seen as the ego and the shadow of a single unfolding personality whose anima is the Holy Spirit and Milton's muse. Samson carries the Yahweh archetype examined by Jung in Answer to Job, and Messiah and Satan in Paradise Regained embody the hostile brothers archetype. Anima, animus and the individuation drive underlie the psychodynamics of Adam and Eve's fall. Driscoll draws on his critical acumen and scholarly knowledge of Renaissance literature to shed new light on Jung's psychology of religion. The Unfolding God of Jung and Milton illumines Jung's heterodox notion of Godhead as a quarternity rather than a trinity, his revolutionary concept of a divine individuation process, his radical solution to the problem of evil, and his wrestling with the feminine in Godhead. The book's glossary of Jungian terms, written for literary critics and theologians rather than clinicians, is exceptionally detailed and insightful. Beyond enriching our understanding of Jung and Milton, Driscoll's discussion contributes to theodicy, to process theology, and to the study of myths and archetypes in literature.
