Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: He watched the black glow of what used to be the sun coming up and felt at peace. He was not overwhelmed with the challenge at hand. Perhaps, it had something to do with that feeling he had carried with him all his life. He had been lonely in his life many times, but never had he felt alone. He had always felt a higher purpose was guiding his steps and protecting his way. When he needed protecting he had been protected, when he felt anxiety, his soul was quieted and if he became haughty, he was humbled. The prayers had gone out all over the world and all the people of the world had petitioned their gods, philosophers and shamans for help. It was the "appointed time." This week would be all mankind had to prove that they were worthy of survival. It was his aim to help the gods see that unity could only come if they themselves could achieve understanding, not just of the world's problems, but to reach understanding of each other. He wondered if a god could learn. Could a god learn to change? As he thought these very thoughts, the gods, honored ones, even the demons, were entering the sanctuary. Things would never be the same after this day and week that would follow. It would challenge every rule in the game of life. Many of the gods had never set eyes on the other. What would transpire while they were together could be either inspiring or detrimental to the future of mankind. The Vajra building had been the chosen venue for the gathering because of its historical inspiration. Many wonderful things had happened at the Vajra, and Satya knew its symbolic meaning. He put on his white linen clothes and opened the door to his room. The council received him and escorted him to the elevator. They ascended to the top floor, the Highest High to the luxury view of the Vajra building. He thought back and remembered the news when the first black American president was announced from the Vajra building. It wasn't long after that when the first woman president was elected as well. Third World countries filled with their starving were freed from scarcity and taught to help themselves from this building. But unfortunately the teachings failed later because they were not applied with compassion for all. Men and women who sat in the very room to which he was headed and strategically planned a way to help the world's people had brought down dictators. For those reasons and so many more it could have been said, this is why the Vajra was chosen. But that would have been vanity and also incorrect. It had been chosen for one reason only, for what the Vajra meant and stood for. The word Vajra had a double meaning. It meant Thunderbolt and Diamond. The word Vajra connoted immutability and something unbreakable. As he anticipated that what would be discussed during the week would shake their foundations like thunder, the diamond beneath would be revealed, the answer would be immutable and it would not break the gods. They would not be broken if their spirit of goodness was as strong as he believed it to be. Satya had faith, he believed and he was ready. The men walked him down the burgundy red corridor, six on either side of him, and when they got to the Double Black Doors they stopped. One of the twelve turned to him and handed him a scroll. He opened it and looked down to see what it contained. It read as follows: Divine Attendance Record Book of Names Xipe Totec, Agni, Durga, Ganesa, Ganga hanuman, Himalaya, Jesus, Mary Magdalene, Jehovah, Yahweh, Allah, Muhammad, Krishna, Buddha, Shakti, Shiva, Vishnu, Ezili Freda, Ezeli Danto, Papa Legba, Gede, Mahakala, Maitraya, Heruka, Hayagriva, Avatar, Brahma, Maya, Siva, Yama, Lakshmi, Sati, Aditi, Parvati, Kali, Manasa, Manu, Mitra, Nandi, Nataraja, Uma, Prajapati, Purusha, Radha, Rama, Ramachandra, Saraswati, Shashti, Trimurti, Soma, Quan-Yin, Ksitigarbha, Lingham, Lao-Tzu, Pa Hsien, Tsao, Shen, Ch' eng Huang, Men Shen, Confucius, Iza

Download or read book Theodicy and Justice in Modern Islamic Thought written by Mr Ibrahim M Abu-Rabi and published by Ashgate Publishing, Ltd.. This book was released on 2013-06-28 with total page 286 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the theology and philosophy of the distinguished modern Muslim scholar and theologian Bediuzzaman Said Nursi [d.1960]. Nursi wrote in both Ottoman Turkish and Arabic and his life and thought reflected the transition of modern Turkey from an empire to a secular republic. The contributors to this volume shed new light on two major dimensions of Nursi's thought: theodicy and justice. Classical Muslim theologians debated these two important issues; however, we must consider the modern debate of these issues in the context of the radical political and social transformations of modern Turkey. Nursi explored these matters as they related to the development of state and society and the crisis of Islam in the modern secular nation-state. Nursi is the founder of a 'faith movement' in contemporary Turkey with millions of followers worldwide. In this book, distinguished scholars in Islamic, Middle Eastern, and Turkish Studies explore Nursi's thought on theodicy and justice in comparison with a number of western philosophers, theologians, and men of letters, such as Dante, Merton, Kant, and Moltman. This book presents an invaluable resource for studies in comparative religion, philosophy, and Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies.

Download or read book The Majesty of God s Law Its Coming to America written by and published by C&J Investments. This book was released on with total page 771 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Majesty of God’s Law is a study of the history and development of the only system of law which was revealed by God, himself. That is why it is called “God’s Law.” The Psalmist described the supreme excellence of God’s law when he said: “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.” (Psalms 19:7-8) The entire code of God’s law is carefully enunciated in the five chapters of this book. Under this judicial system there are only about a hundred statutes required to govern a community, state, a nation, and the world. But this is only possible when these laws are in the hands of the wise and virtuous judges. In order to make the system work, the people must be taught the law and then they must enter into a solemn covenant to honor and sustain the precepts. When Moses gave this law to the ancient Israelites, he said it could make them most peaceful, prosperous and powerful people in the World. However it was revealed to Moses that the people of the age would violate its precepts. He then learned that it would not be until the latter days that this law would be lived the way it was originally designed. The American Founding Fathers picked up on that promise because it appeared to them that it would be in this choice land where this great promise would one day be fulfilled. Nevertheless, they recognized that the Constitution was the indispensable foundation for such an inspired system of prosperity, justice, and peace. When they saw the Constitution would gradually unravel, they knew that this character of liberty would have to be restored in all its pristine power by some future generation. And they knew this would have to occur before God’s law could be inaugurated. Someday, God’s law is coming to America. It could come rapidly after a period of cleansing and reform, even in our day. And since Moses said it would eventually transpire, there needs to be a generation of Americans trained and motivated to put it into effect. Dr. Skousen has prepared this present study in hopes that it might be of assistance.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Lord is calling His people to break their silence and proclaim the Gospel to everyone—right now. The Spirit of God is moving in people’s hearts, prompting them to speak out against the sins and atrocities in our world. Speaking out comes with a cost. It can be challenging, unpopular, and downright lonely. You will be misunderstood. But those who speak in God’s voice find peace for being faithful to his call. God has always looked for people who are willing to do what He needs done. He takes those imperfect people and baptizes them with passion to do His will. They cannot escape its clutches. God wants to say something to you and through you. He is looking for a trumpet; the raised voices of His remnant are the sounds of revival. Revival happens when repentance happens. Repentance happens when people speak the heart of God. God has voices ready to speak and bring revival to earth. Are you one of them? If you are looking for a way to unlock the words of God from deep in your soul, this book is for you.
Download or read book God Heaven and Har Magedon written by Meredith G. Kline and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2006-03-15 with total page 311 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the Author's Preface: It could be this octogerian's last book and there were several things I wanted to do. One was to provide a primer in covenant theology. Another was to make more accessible the gist of some of my previous biblio-theological studies and to do so in a form serviceable to a wider readership than most of my publications. The major move in this democratic direction was to enliven the analysis of the covenants by introducing the series of covenant administrations within the intriguing story line of Har Magedon, the mountain of God. Extending as it does from creation to consummation, the tale of Har Magedon readily accommodates the total history of the covenants . . . Moreover, quite apart from such considerations the current state of secularized and dispensational versions of Armageddon (fantastic fiction all) makes a review of the biblical Har Magedon motif timely. Though the covenants remain the theological foundation and heart of the matter, by its adoption as our narrative framework, Har Magedon becomes the dominant surface theme. As we track this theme through the Scriptures we discover a recurring pattern, an eschatological megastructure that appears in each of the typological world ages culminating respectively at mounts Ararat and Sinai/Zion and then once again, climactically, in the antitypical New Covenant age. This Har Magedon paradigm, which shapes our telling of the covenantal tale, consists in the following complex of elements: establishment of a kingdom covenant by the Lord of Har Magedon; a meritorious accomplishment by the covenant grantee, triumphant in the Har Magedon conflict; a common grace interim before the coming of the covenanted kingdom; an antichrist crisis; consummation of the Glory-Kingdom through a last judgement victory of the covenant Lord in a final battle of Har Magedon. If only in condensed, digest fashion the present work is thus a comprehensive biblio-theological survey of the kingdom of God from Eden to the New Jerusalem.
