Book The Golden Quest for Eternal Life

Download or read book The Golden Quest for Eternal Life written by John V. Kardel and published by Dorrance Publishing. This book was released on 2019-10-24 with total page 73 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Golden Quest for Eternal Life: Without God There Is No Eternal Life By: John V. Kardel Have you ever wondered about life, religion, God, humanity, and science, and how they might be connected? Have you ever questioned human origins or the existence of a higher being? The Golden Quest for Eternal Life: Without God There Is No Eternal Life just might challenge the way you think about these profound topics. Originally conceived as a way to elucidate the author’s beliefs for his son, The Golden Quest for Eternal Life is so much more. In this slender and highly readable volume, John V. Kardel endeavors to debunk religious cults, question popular scientific theories, and provide a foundation for meaningful contemplation of who we are, where we come from, and most importantly, why we’re here. “A cursory review of my book may lead one to think of it as anti-religious, but it is not,” says Kardel. Essentially, it is a thoughtful and mature meditation on life, God, and religion that he hopes “will help others avoid religious bickering, bitterness, and zealots; and instill a desire to accomplish something for their God(s).” So, take the plunge, and ponder.

With each chapter, we traverse the evolutionary timeline, witnessing the convergence of neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and ethical considerations. We explore the promise and the perils of a future where the boundaries between the biological and the digital blur. In the landscape of digital immortality, we encounter the infinite potential of human consciousness. We ponder the implications of a world where knowledge, creativity, and personal growth have no limits. We contemplate the ethical complexities that arise when the lines between life and death, existence and non-existence, become fluid. But this book is not merely an exploration of ideas; it is an invitation to imagine and shape the future. The possibilities it presents are as limitless as the human imagination. As you read, consider the role you might play in this ever-evolving narrative. What choices will you make in the face of such transformative potential? How will you navigate the ethical, philosophical, and technological landscapes that lie ahead? As authors, we have endeavored to provide you with a roadmap—a guide that illuminates the path forward while acknowledging the mysteries that still lie in wait. But it is your journey to undertake, your questions to ask, and your vision to shape. It is a call to action, a celebration of human ingenuity, and a testament to the enduring human spirit that has always sought to push the boundaries of what it means to be alive. So, with an open heart and a curious mind, we invite you to step into the world of digital immortality—a world where the quest for consciousness and infinity is not just a dream but a destiny waiting to be fulfilled. Book excerpt: With the trickster, Loki, as your guide, journey to the ancient forests of Scandinavia and bear witness to the legends of Norse mythology. Starting with the Norse creation myths, the trickster god Loki takes the reader on a wild ride through Norse mythology, from the era when the gods—the founders of Asgard—defeated a race of monsters, and then hurtles through legendary stories, including Odin hanging himself on the World Tree, the theft of the corrupting gold ring, and the murder of Baldr, the god of love and the sun. Born within the heart of a fire in the hollow of a tree-trunk, Loki arrives in Asgard as an outsider. He is a trickster, an unreliable narrator, the god of intelligence and politics. In spite of his cleverness and sparkling wit (or, perhaps, because of this), Loki struggles to find his place among the old patriarchal gods of supernatural power and is constantly at odds with the god of thunder—Thor. Alongside the politics of Asgard, the novel charts the course of Loki's many loves and families, from his mothering of Odin's famous horse to his intense, turbulent, and, eventually fatal relationship with Baldr the Beautiful—a tender and moving story of a love that goes wrong. This is a retelling that is contemporary in tone, at once amusing and relatable. It is a heartfelt plea to overthrow the old gods of power and authority and instigate a new era ruled by love and intelligence.

Book Homer s Odyssey and the Near East

Download or read book Homer s Odyssey and the Near East written by Bruce Louden and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2011-01-06 with total page 365 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Odyssey's larger plot is composed of a number of distinct genres of myth, all of which are extant in various Near Eastern cultures (Mesopotamian, West Semitic, and Egyptian). Unexpectedly, the Near Eastern culture with which the Odyssey has the most parallels is the Old Testament. Consideration of how much of the Odyssey focuses on non-heroic episodes - hosts receiving guests, a king disguised as a beggar, recognition scenes between long-separated family members - reaffirms the Odyssey's parallels with the Bible. In particular the book argues that the Odyssey is in a dialogic relationship with Genesis, which features the same three types of myth that comprise the majority of the Odyssey: theoxeny, romance (Joseph in Egypt), and Argonautic myth (Jacob winning Rachel from Laban). The Odyssey also offers intriguing parallels to the Book of Jonah, and Odysseus' treatment by the suitors offers close parallels to the Gospels' depiction of Christ in Jerusalem.

Download or read book One God One Word written by Clarence G. Wilson and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2007-03 with total page 458 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Book shares the true Knowledge of God. It gives the facts of Creation, beginning with the revealing of God Himself, through the revealing of the spirit beings, to the creation of man. It reveals the true methods of worshiping God in this life, as well as revealing the coming judgments of God on the heavens and on the earth, and it reveals the details of the Hereafter, including Heaven and hell. The oneness of God and the oneness of religion among all people is stressed to the believers of God, just as He revealed it to His servants throughout the ages. The defects of Christianity are revealed, as well as the errors concerning the crucifixion, the resurrection, and the Passion of the Christ. The details of God's Truth as It exists in Judaism, in Hinduism, in Buddhism, and in Islam are also revealed. Most of the Knowledge in this Book comes from Jesus himself, as this Book contains more of Jesus' spoken words than any other documentary on Jesus. The Bible contains only a fraction of Jesus' Message. The rest of the Knowledge in this Book was revealed to the prophets of God, as documented in the Word of God, and this is the prophesized Book that must be opened in the End Times, for the saving of mankind (Isa. 30:8,52:7, Dan. 12:4,9, Hab. 2:14, Rev. 10:10,11). This Book is prepared as a Warning to unbelievers and as a Guide to those desiring Eternal Life.
