Book The Golden Atlantean Book of Healing

Download or read book The Golden Atlantean Book of Healing written by Juliet Clare Pankhurst and published by Author House. This book was released on 2007-05-03 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why do we become ill, depressed or stressed and how can we heal illnesses which the doctors seem unable to cure? Many are searching for something, not knowing what because our lives feel empty and meaningless, resulting in many using drugs or alcohol as a temporary relief from this feeling, a means of escape. This book helps us to read the "sign posts" that should not be switched off by pain killers, anti depressants, or drugs but which can be used to guide us to the root cause of physical, mental or emotional illnesses, to listen to our bodies, to understand the underlying cause of their problems and provides the solutions to really turn our lives around. It uses psychology, meditation, visualisation and prayer, enabling the harnessing of healing powers to remove the blockages preventing complete abundance in every area of our lives. This book provides the tools to find self love, personal growth, happiness, success, physical health and emotional healing and can be used to remove negative karma, whether in this life or previous lives, entrenched habits, negative characteristics or anxieties. It shows how to use ancient symbols such as those in Egypt, sacred geometry, the sacred names of the Angels and God and the teachings of the great Atlantean Thoth. It enables enlightenment and the reaching of "heaven on earth" by using the gifted Ancient Knowledge, regardless of denomination, faith, belief, colour or creed. Documented case studies show the reduction of symptoms in Multiple Sclerosis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and how these techniques reduced these symptoms. The act of reading this book enables healing to start. True peace and happiness can be found in the pages of this book.

Book The Golden Connection

Download or read book The Golden Connection written by Mary Jane Klister and published by . This book was released on 2004 with total page 356 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Golden Connection program involves partnering a senior citizen with a four-year old kindergarten (4-K) student who is targeted as being academically chalenged as defined by difficulties in the classroom setting and/or home. This intergenerational pilot program's goals are to make gains in pre-reading and communication skills. It will help equalize the performance gap between low and high socioeconomic students and have them better prepared for starting kindergarten. The program will also provide opportunities to practice community service values, dissipate negative social attitudes about older adults, build community connections and lower the classroom ratio of students per adult. It will be established for one academic school year as a pilot program. It will be evaluated after the first year for its outcomes and to determine if the same mentors will move into the kindergarten program with these 4-K children. New mentors would begin with the new 4-K students next fall. The mentors would continue with the students they begin with at the 4-K level until the end of first grade as an academic mentor and support. The mentors will spend time each day for reading, which would include lap reading and related skills, and special projects or practice in other curriculum areas.

Download or read book Within the Love of God written by Anthony Clarke and published by OUP Oxford. This book was released on 2014-11-27 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The doctrine of God is central to theology for it determines the way in which other regions of Christian doctrine are articulated, yet work on this topic in its own right has been occluded recently by treatments of the Trinity or divine passibility. This collection of specially commissioned essays presents major treatments of key themes in the doctrine of God, motivated by but not restricted to the work of Professor Paul S. Fiddes to whom it is offered as a Festschrift. It includes invigorating discussions of the biblical and non-biblical sources for the doctrine of God, and the section on 'Metaphysics and the Doctrine of God' examines some of the most important conceptual questions arising in contemporary theological debate about the being and nature of God, and God's relations to the world. The final section of the book on 'God and Humanity' will be highly relevant to scholars working in the fields of theological anthropology, moral and political theology, on inter-faith relations, on theology and literature, or who are interested in the impact of contemporary science on the doctrine of God. The introduction relates the essays in the book to the work of Professor Fiddes and to wider debates in Christian doctrine. This volume brings together a team of internationally distinguished scholars from a wide range of theological, philosophical, and religious perspectives, and it will stimulate fresh thinking and new debate about this most central of topics in Christian theology.

Book The Golden Cord

    Book Details:
  • Author : Charles Taliaferro
  • Publisher : University of Notre Dame Pess
  • Release : 2012-12-15
  • ISBN : 0268093776
  • Pages : 216 pages

Download or read book The Golden Cord written by Charles Taliaferro and published by University of Notre Dame Pess. This book was released on 2012-12-15 with total page 216 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The title of Charles Taliaferro’s book is derived from poems and stories in which a person in peril or on a quest must follow a cord or string in order to find the way to happiness, safety, or home. In one of the most famous of such tales, the ancient Greek hero Theseus follows the string given him by Ariadne to mark his way in and out of the Minotaur’s labyrinth. William Blake's poem “Jerusalem” uses the metaphor of a golden string, which, if followed, will lead one to heaven itself. Taliaferro extends Blake’s metaphor to illustrate the ways we can link what we see, feel, and do with deep spiritual realities. Taliaferro offers a foundational case for the recognition of the experience of the eternal God of Christianity, in which God is understood as the fount of all goodness and the subject and object of our best love, revealed through scripture, tradition, philosophical reflection, and encountered in everyday events. He addresses philosophical obstacles to the recognition of such experiences, especially objections from the “new atheists,” and explores the values involved in thinking and experiencing God as eternal. These include the belief that the eternal goodness of God subordinates temporal goods, such as the pursuit of fame and earthly glory; that God is the essence of life; and that the eternal God hallows domestic goods, blessing the everyday goods of ordinary life. An exploration of the moral and spiritual riches of the Christian tradition as an alternative to materialism and naturalism, The Golden Cord brings an originality and depth to the debate in accessible and engaging prose.

Book excerpt: Dr. Jeanne Safer has dedicated much of her decades' long career in psychotherapy to exploring taboo subjects that we all think about in private but seldom discuss in public. From conflicted sibling relationships to the choice not to have children, Safer's work has always been unflinching in its aim to dive deep into topics that make most of us blush, but which are present in all of our lives. In The Golden Condom, Safer turns her sharp and fearless eye to a subject perhaps more universal than any other-love in all its permutations. In The Golden Condom Safer interweaves her own experiences with those of a variety of memorable people, including her patients, telling a series of tales that investigate relationships--both healthy and toxic--that most of us don't escape life without experiencing at least once, including traumatic friendships, love after loss, unrequited or obsessional love and more. Never prescriptive and always entertaining, these stories will demolish any suspicion you might have that you're alone in navigating a turbulent romantic life, and will inspire you with the range of possibilities that exist to find love, however unconventional, and at any age.
