The district is at present mainly agricultural, and except for the deep-seated Coal the only mineral products of much economic con sequence are the Moulding Sands of the Lower Mottled Sandstone and the Gypsum of the Keuper Marl the chief gypsum workings, however, lie a little way beyond the se. Limits of the Sheet. The new map is issued in a Drift edition only, as the Glacial deposits are nowhere extensive enough to obscure the boundaries Of the Solid formations.
