Book excerpt: This is an informative and educative book propelled by the ignorance of many, including believers regarding the necessity and importance of Church Gatherings or membership to a Church. And the product of this ignorance has birthed forth trivialisation of Churches. It is quite preposterous and embarrassing to find out that many Christians know very little or nothing about the origin or Historical background of the Church, let alone her importance and role to individuals, society and the world at large. And shockingly, some Church Ministers with heavy Ecclesiastical titles are in the flock of this ignorant generation, which is a colossal embarrassment to say the least. Thus this book is a product of my personal convictions as a result of encounters prior to my walk with God as a Christian from child hood, revelations as well as intense research of opinions of other renowned, prominent and respectable Servants of God with regards to this subject matter.Thereby subjected to variation or confict in conceptThere are mixed and diverse concepts about the Church perhaps due to the poor handling of this subject by many Church leaders. Ask an average believer why he/she is going to Church and you will be shocked at their responses. This is also traceable to the poor church attendances due to poor and ineffective Evangelism strategies. Obviously, when the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable as a man of God put it.Consequently, this book is tailored to address and resolve the ignorance pandemic, which has eaten deep into the fabrics of the Church and society as a whole like a cankerworm. It gives a panoramic, profound and in-depth historical, geographical and archaeological presentation with facts, truths and realities regarding the Church. Tracing it right from its roots to the fruits, from the Early to the present day Church. Just to enhance your understanding with regards to the title of the book: "Gathering" is a representation of fellowship. Unity, communion and togetherness. And "Eagle" is a symbolic or metaphorical reference to the Saints or believers. In simple terms, I'm talking about the fellowship or unity of Saints or believers call them Christians if you will. The question is why the use of the symbol of an EAGLE? Permit me to clear your doubts. It is worth noting that the Eagle falls under the family of Birds. Despite of that, it possesses some distinct and unique and very appealing and admirable attributes distinguishing it from its fellow family members. Some of which we are going to look into. Firstly, the Eagle is a symbol vigour, strength and tenacity. Unlike other birds that only fly under the control and direction of the wind, the Eagle flies above the wind, thereby distinguishing itself from its family members. Inotherwords, it does not follow the crowd. The Eagle has also been viewed by many in Socio-Political, Cultural and Sports domain as an epitome of EXCELLENCE. Some of those prominent countries in Africa like my neighbouring brothers, Nigeria, not to mention the world power, U.S.A and other European Countries like Germany, Poland etc. Its symbolic and metaphorical use in the scriptures as a connotation of success, excellence and focus. Courage and optimism cannot be over emphasised. Not to mention its sense of unity and "fellowship" with its kind, not just any kind of bird. For instance, Eagles don't "yoke" with Vultures. No wonder it is popularly referred to as "king of the birds". In the same vein, as Christians with the spiritual DNA of Christ, we possess similar if not greater attributes of an Eagle. We are referred to as "Kings" and a "Holy Nation". Meaning we are set apart or distinguished from unbelievers, though from the same human race. Just like eagles that don't "yoke" with other birds, we are advised by Paul the Apostle to do same in 2 Corinthians 6:14 "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers

As a pastor, I meet people all the time who are going through incredible sorrow, pain, and disillusionment. They are experiencing dire circumstances and really just want to quit life. As a pastor, compassion flows out of me and I want to help them realize that Jesus loves them and things will get better. This story I am about to tell you should encourage you, give you hope, and teach you of your Savior's divine plan for your life and your purpose. This book is a profound parable about eagles and it is meant to be instructive to the reader. It will be a simple narrative and will describe a very peculiar action that great eagles go through. It will illustrate the moral and crisis situations we often find our lives falling into. This story is not meant to be difficult to understand, but I have tried to be straightforward and self-explanatory. It will provide guidance and encouragement to the hurting.

The return of the Remnant of Jacob, prior to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, will be the most spectacular event the world has ever seen, rivaling the Exodus of Egypt in both wonder and might. The book should be viewed as a comprehensive study guide and includes approximately 700 scripture references and source material. When Senator Aulus Aemilius Galba is tapped to lead the first Roman mission to China, he anticipates an easy path to fame and fortune. Gaius Lucullus sees a bright military future, but his reluctant centurion Antonius Aristides would rather be somewhere else. Translators Marcia Lucia and her brother Marcus were taken from their village in China to serve the Han court, abused and despised, hiding a horrible secret. A notorious Arab pirate, with a Roman price on his head and crucifixion in his future, shadows the entourage, seeking the wealthy prize of their treasure-laden ships. But Fate has other plans for these unlikely companions, sending them together on a journey that will take them thousands of miles by sea and land across the tapestry of the mysterious worlds at the close of the first century. From the storm-tossed Indian Ocean to the opulent Hanaean court, from the wild grassy steppes north of China to the forbidding peaks of the Pamir Mountains of Bactria, they fight for their lives, hoping to find the road that will lead them back to Rome.
