Many of the objects exhibited in museums today once graced the interior of a Roman Baroque palazzo or a setting inspired by one. Inside Roman palaces, the display of art was calibrated to an increasingly accentuated dynamism of social and official life, activated by the moving bodies and the attention of residents and visitors. It is a small museum with an exquisite collection, housed in a beautiful villa. Many of Gian Lorenzo Bernini's early works can be found here. If you are ever in Rome, make sure to visit it. In my experience, many people find this museum even more beautiful than the Vatican Museums, something they did not expect beforehand. This might also have something to do with the fact that the Galleria has a strict reservation system. This guidebook will tell you the stories of all the great art in the museum. I will show you which pieces are most famous and why. Many of these artworks have interesting stories behind them and it will be much more enjoyable looking at them when you know the story. This book does not aspire to be a complete guide to all the artworks in the museum. I will show you the many highlights, but leave out the lesser known works. I will take you on a tour through the museums, just like I would take a tour group.
