Download or read book Frequency written by Penney Peirce and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2011-08-16 with total page 384 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Frequency gives readers the tools to understand how and why their natural frequency interacts with the world around them. Because we see the world from a physical perspective, we often don't notice what's right in front of us -- that our spirit, thoughts, emotions, and body are all made of energy. Inside us and everywhere around us, life is vibrating. In fact, each of us has a personal vibration that accurately communicates who we are to the world and helps shape our reality. Frequency shows readers how to feel their personal vibration, improve it, and use it to shift their life from ordinary to extraordinary. A simple shift in frequency can change depression to peace, anger to stillness, and fear to enthusiasm. Weaving together basic ideas from quantum physics with proven intuition development techniques, Frequency takes readers into deeper concepts only hinted at in recent popular books and DVD's featuring the Law of Attraction. By learning to refine the "conscious sensitivity" of their body, readers can improve relationships, find upscale solutions to problems, and materialize a life that contains everything they want and need to live their destiny. Frequency gives readers a reassuring, step-by-step roadmap into a positive state of awareness that Peirce calls The Intuition Age. By learning to use "frequency principles" -- methods based on the way energy actually functions -- readers can keep their energy level high and productive, receive subtle information directly from the environment via "empathic resonance," and quickly free themselves from negative or low "vibrations."

Book Word Frequencies in Written and Spoken English

Download or read book Word Frequencies in Written and Spoken English written by Geoffrey Leech and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2014-06-11 with total page 360 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Word Frequencies in Written and Spoken English is a landmark volume in the development of vocabulary frequency studies. Whereas previous books have in general given frequency information about the written language only, this book provides information on both speech and writing. It not only gives information about the language as a whole, but also about the differences between spoken and written English, and between different spoken and written varieties of the language. The frequencies are derived from a wide ranging and up-to-date corpus of English: the British National Corpus, which was compiled from over 4,000 written texts and spoken transcriptions representing the present day language in the UK. The book is based on a new version of the corpus (available from 2001) providing more accurate grammatical information, which is essential (for example) for distinguishing words like leaves (noun) and leaves (verb) with different meanings. The book begins with a general introduction, explaining why such information is important and highlighting interesting linguistic findings that emerge from the statistical analysis of the British National Corpus vocabulary. It also contains twenty four 'interest boxes' which highlight and comment on different aspects of frequency - for example, the most common colour words in English in order of frequency, and a comparison of male words (e.g. man) and female words (e.g. woman) in terms of their frequency.

Book Strange Frequencies

Download or read book Strange Frequencies written by Peter Bebergal and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2022-10-04 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Now in paperback. A journey through the attempts artists, scientists, and tinkerers have made to imagine and communicate with the otherworldly using various technologies, from cameras to radiowaves. Strange Frequencies takes readers on an extraordinary narrative and historical journey to discover how people have used technology in an effort to search for our own immortality. Bebergal builds his own ghostly gadgets to reach the other side, too, and follows the path of famous inventors, engineers, seekers, and seers who attempted to answer life's ultimate mysteries. He finds that not only are technological innovations potent metaphors keeping our spiritual explorations alive, but literal tools through which to experiment the boundaries of the physical world and our own psyches. Peter takes the reader alongside as he explores: the legend of the golem and the strange history of automata; a photographer who is trying to capture the physical manifestation of spirits; a homemaker who has recorded voicemails from the dead; a stage magician who combines magic and technology to alter his audience's consciousness; and more.

Book Lethal Frequencies

Download or read book Lethal Frequencies written by James Galvin and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This fourth collection from the author of the prose masterpiece The Meadow is inspired by the often harsh subrural landscape of southwestern Wyoming where Galvin has spent most of the past decade building a log home, beginning with the felling of trees. Firsthand knowledge of the expansive landscape of the west provides perspective more than mere imagery, reducing human activity to its proper dimension. Galvin adds a kind of pre-Socratic intelligence, a stoical turn of mind, and genuine love of hard physical work to make poems that are direct, spare, compact, and stripped of rhetorical or aesthetic device.

Book High Temperature Superconductor Thin Films at Microwave Frequencies

Download or read book High Temperature Superconductor Thin Films at Microwave Frequencies written by Matthias Hein and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 1999-07-02 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book develops a comprehensive understanding of the surface impedance of the oxide high-temperature superconductors in comparison with the conventional superconductor Nb3Sn. Linear and nonlinear microwave responses are treated separately, both in terms of models, theories or numerical approaches and in terms of experimental results. The theoretical treatment connects fundamental aspects of superconductivity to the specific high-frequency properties. The experimental data review the state of the art, as reported by many international groups. The book describes further the main features of appropriate preparation, handling, mounting, and refrigeration techniques, and finally discusses possible applications in passive and active microwave devices.
