The sun does not exert gravitational force on the earth. The earth orbits the sun because it follows the curvature of space formed by the sun's gravity. The curvature of space produced by gravity acts like an attractive force within our solar system, yet like a repulsive force at cosmological distance.Einstein did not discover this truth, because he could not derive a rigorous solution to the extremely complex tensor math used in General Relativity. After Einstein's death, Yilmaz solved this mathematical dilemma in a paper published by the prestigious Physical Review in 1958. However, Yilmaz was reluctant to pursue cosmological implications of his theory.Yilmaz showed the author how to apply the Einstein-Yilmaz math to cosmology. This study yielded amazing results.
