Book The Entheological Paradigm

Download or read book The Entheological Paradigm written by Martin W Ball, PH D and published by . This book was released on 2021-01-20 with total page 334 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this updated 2021 edition of The Entheological Paradigm, leading nondual entheogenic advocate, Martin W. Ball, presents a naturalistic, rational, and objective view on the nature of reality as seen through the lenses of DMT and 5-MeO-DMT when appreciated from a nondual perspective. In stark contrast to popularized views of psychedelic experience, Dr. Ball directly addresses the nature of reality and perception, aptly demonstrating that the contents of visionary experiences are the product of egos in various states of resistance to, or absorption in, the full nondual and unitary experience. Are machine elves real? Was 2012 really a thing? Does DMT launch you into hyperspace? Did Terence McKenna know what he was talking about? Do psychedelic entities actually exist? Or, are all these projections of the ego? These provocative and insightful essays answer these questions, and more, from a radical nondual perspective which fully accounts for the nature of the ego, how it shapes psychedelic experiences, and how to maximize the transformative potential of nondual experience and realization as it is made accessible through "The God Molecule," 5-MeO-DMT, and other psychedelic compounds. The result is a radically clear framework from which to understand not only the nature of psychedelic experience, but reality as a whole as the expression of a single unitary consciousness in interaction with itself across multiple levels simultaneously. The result is The Entheological Paradigm: a guide to the genuine nature of reality. In this updated 2021 edition, some of original contents of the 2011 edition have been removed, and many new materials have been added, greatly expanding the scope of the original publication. New to this edition are essays on the topic of "2012," Dr. Ball's address to the 2020 World Bufo Alvarius Congress, Dr. Ball's keynote address to the 2020 Nonduality Global Summit, two essays on MDMA and MDA and psychedelic cocktails, a lengthy transcribed interview from the "Naked Guru Experience," three essays from his non-longer-in-print 2008 book, The Entheogenic Evolution, and an essay on three models of psychedelic healing. The result is a compelling and provocative collection of essays that all center on the topic of entheogens and nonduality, truth vs. egoic fiction, clarity vs. confusion, self-indulgence vs. self-transformation, healing, and liberation. In the end, as Dr. Ball writes, it's not about the fantasy worlds of psychedelic visions, but the task of becoming a fully integrated and responsible human being; an individuated expression of the One Unitary Energy Being that is the fundamental nature of reality. Also included are numerous original works of visionary fractal art by the author (black and white).

Download or read book Being Human written by Martin W Ball Ph D and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2019-04-22 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Initially released in 2009, Being Human was Martin Ball's first book exploring the Entheological Paradigm, his radical take on the nondual nature of reality and the role that entheogens and psychedelics can play in revolutionizing humanity's understanding of itself and its place in the cosmos. To commemorate the 10th anniversary of its publication, this new edition of Being Human is graced with 33 full-color original pieces of stunning fractal art as created by the author. Written as a guidebook to self-understanding and personal transformation, Being Human plumbs the depths of what it means to be human, the nature of identity, and the nondual, unitary nature of reality. The information in this relatively short book is presented matter-of-factly with concise, plain language, making the concepts and practices easily accessible and free from metaphysical speculation and mystification. Entheogens, as energetic tools, are explored as an unsurpassed means to override the persistent energetic structures of the human ego and its sense of separation, revealing the unitary nature of being and consciousness found at the core of all identity and conscious experience. A primary theme that is explored is that awakening to nonduality is not so much a spiritual issue as it is an energetic one, and that when the right energetic tools are applied, consistent and repeatable results can be obtained by anyone, regardless of belief system, culture, or religious or spiritual identity. Stimulating, challenging, provocative, and bold, the central idea of the book is summed up nicely by one of the concluding affirmations of the book: "Guess what? You are God - Now get over it!" Whether you're reading Ball's work for the first time, or re-reading this commemorative edition to enjoy the art, you're sure to find Being Human a book that will leave you thinking, and just might inspire you to experience the ideas contained within directly for yourself within your own infinite being.

Book The Infinite Mindfield

Download or read book The Infinite Mindfield written by Anthony Peake and published by Watkins Media Limited. This book was released on 2013-10-03 with total page 253 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Using information from the cutting edge of modern science, Peake presents startling evidence that the inner worlds of our mystics and shamans are as real, or possibly even more real, than the reality we experience in waking life. As his starting point, Peake examines the widespread historical belief that the mid-brain’s pine-cone shaped pineal gland activates the third eye described by mystics and seers. Through careful analysis of ancient religious texts and artifacts, he gives evidence that the spiritual properties of the pineal gland have been embedded in myths and cultures across the globe. (Why else would the Buddha so often be found wearing a pine cone hat?) Peake then shows that it is through this small organ that we experience lucid dreaming, out-of-body experiences, hypnagogic imagery, near-death experiences, astral travel and the kundalini experience. The book ends with the mind-blowing conclusion that all living beings are one unitary consciousness experiencing itself subjectively.

Book Mystery School in Hyperspace

Download or read book Mystery School in Hyperspace written by Graham St John and published by North Atlantic Books. This book was released on 2015-11-24 with total page 537 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the mid-1950s, the psychoactive compound DMT has attracted the attention of experimentalists and prohibitionists, scientists and artists, alchemists and hyperspace emissaries. While most known as a crucial component of the “jungle alchemy” that is ayahuasca, DMT is a unique story unto itself. Until now, this story has remained untold. Mystery School in Hyperspace is the first book to delve into the history of this substance, the discovery of its properties, and the impact it has had on poets, artists, and musicians. DMT has appeared at crucial junctures in countercultural history. William Burroughs was jacking the spice in Tangier at the turn of the 1960s. It was present at the meeting between Ken Kesey's Merry Pranksters and Tim Leary's associates. It guided the inception of the Grateful Dead in 1965. It showed up in Berkeley in the same year, falling into the hands of Terence McKenna, who would eventually become its champion in the post-rave neo-psychedelic movement of the 1990s. Its indole vapor drifted through Portugal's Boom Festival and has been evident at Nevada's Burning Man, where DMT has been adopted as spiritual technology supplying shape, color, and depth to a visionary art movement. The growing prevalence of use is evident in a vast networked independent research culture, and in its impact on fiction, film, music and metaphysics. As this book traces the effect of DMT's release into the cultural bloodstream, the results should be of great interest to contemporary readers. The book permits a broad reading audience to join ongoing debates in studies in consciousness and theology where the brain is held to be either a generator or a receiver of consciousness. The implications of the "spirit molecule" or "the brain's own psychedelic" among other theories illustrate that DMT may lift the lid on the Pandora's Box of consciousness. Features a foreword by Dennis McKenna, cover art by Beau Deeley, and thirty color illustrations by various artists, including Alex Grey, Android Jones, Martina Hoffmann, Luke Brown, Carey Thompson, Adam Scott Miller, Randal Roberts, along with Jay Bryan, Cyb, Orryelle Defenestrate-Bascule, Art Van D'lay, Stuart Griggs, Jay Lincoln, Gwyllm Llwydd, Shiptu Shaboo, Marianna Stelmach, and Mister Strange. Regarded as the “nightmare hallucinogen” or celebrated as the “spirit molecule,” labelled “psychotogenic” or “entheogenic,” considered a dangerous drug or the suspected X-factor in the evolution of consciousness, DMT is a powerful enigma. Documenting the scientists and artists drawn into its sphere of influence, navigating the liminal aesthetics of the “breakthrough” experience, tracing the novum of “hyperspace” in esoteric and science fiction currents, Mystery School in Hyperspace excavates the significance of this enigmatic phenomenon in the modern world. Exposing a great many myths, this cultural history reveals how DMT has had a beneficial influence on the lives of those belonging to a vast underground network whose reports and initiatives expose drug war propaganda and shine a light in the shadows. This conversation is highly relevant at a time when significant advances are being made to lift the moratorium on human research with psychedelics.

Download or read book Mushroom Wisdom written by Martin W. Ball and published by Ronin Publishing. This book was released on 2010-07-15 with total page 194 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mushroom Wisdom explores the universal aspects of the psilocybin mushroom experience as it relates to spirituality. Author Martin Ball explains how mushroom use can lead the spiritual seeker to profound states of self-awareness and radical understanding of the nature of the self, reality, and the sacred. Topics include looking into the spiritual mirror to uncover an authentic sense of self, developing “witness” consciousness to overcome self-limiting concepts and judgments, and removing obstacles of ego and self-induced suffering to trigger the rich experience of “spirit flow.” The book also addresses the creation and use of ritual, sacred objects, and the importance of sound and silence. Ball distinguishes between using mushrooms in spiritual work as opposed to simply having a pleasant psychedelic experience. Not a guide to how to have “fun” with psilocybin mushrooms, Mushroom Wisdom is a serious investigation into deep spiritual nature, drawing on both a wide array of scientific disciplines and ancient shamanic practices.

Book The Psychedelic Policy Quagmire

Download or read book The Psychedelic Policy Quagmire written by J. Harold Ellens and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2015-08-18 with total page 499 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Edited by two preeminent scholars, this book provides coverage of the policy issues related to the increasingly diverse treatments, practices, and applications of psychedelics. Hallucinogenic substances like LSD, mescaline, peyote, MDMA, and ayahuasca have a reputation as harmful substances that are enjoyed only by recreational users committing criminal acts. But leading international researchers and scholars who contributed to this book hold that the use of psychedelic substances for health, religious, intellectual, and artistic purposes is a Constitutional right—and a human right. Based on that conclusion, these scholars focus on policy issues that regulate the use of psychedelic drugs in medicine, religion, personal life, and higher education, arguing that existing regulations should match current and anticipated future uses. This volume has two parts. The first surveys research on the use of psychedelic drugs in medicine, religion, and truth-seeking, following these topics through history and contemporary practice. The second section treats government policices that regulate the psychological, physiological, biochemical, and spiritual aspects of research and experience in these fields. The Psychedelic Policy Quagmire: Health, Law, Freedom, and Society challenges medical and legal policy experts, ethicists, scientists, and scholars with the question: How can we formulate policies that reduce the dangers of psychedelics' misuse and at the same time maximize the emerging diverse benefits?

Book Opening the Doors of Perception

Download or read book Opening the Doors of Perception written by Anthony Peake and published by Watkins Media Limited. This book was released on 2016-09-13 with total page 279 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An eye-opening response to Aldous Huxley’s widely influential work on psychedelics, physical reality, and consciousness What exactly are hallucinations? Are they actually doors to another reality? Anthony Peake thinks so. In this stunning book, he takes Aldous Huxley’s The Doors of Perception and updates it using the latest information from quantum mechanics, neurochemistry, and consciousness studies. Most human beings perceive the doors of perception as being securely closed. But here, Peake analyzes the concept of ‘the scale of transcendence’ and suggests there is a scale of perceptions whereby the doors are slowly opened, bit by bit, to reveal the true nature of reality. For ‘normal’ people, glimpses of this reality—what the Gnostics called ‘The Pleroma’—are experienced during ‘noetic’ experiences. However, for others, the doors are prized open by certain neurological processes starting with migraine and progressing through various altered states such as temporal lobe epilepsy, bipolar syndrome, autism, and schizophrenia. A pioneering work on the relationship between physical reality and consciousness, Opening the Doors of Perception suggests that man can, indeed, perceive reality in its true glory.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Imagine that you had no ill effects from past trauma: no depression, no addiction, no thoughts of suicide. Imagine there are substances that have been used as healing medicines for centuries – substances which have been illegal in the U.S. and around the world for more than 5 decades because of questionable politics of the War on Drugs. Thousands of research studies regarding the potential benefits of psychedelic medicines have now been produced (both from before the ban and from more recent times) – and the results are astounding. Soldiers healed from the traumas of war (PTSD), adults healed from childhood intergenerational traumas from parents and grandparents; abuse survivors relieved of their guilt, shame, anger; depression-sufferers released of their prison of sadness and the need to take antidepressant medications; agnostic people discovering spirituality. What you’ll find in this book is all the information you need to begin your journey of discovery into whether one or more of these psychedelic medicines may help you. You’ll find several chapters covering all the basics of psychedelics, from their fascinating history to how these medicines work to how and what you need to move forward with intentionally using psychedelic medicines. Find yourself in one or more of the 23 stories that people from all spectrums of life graciously share here. These stories range from people seeking clarity about their future to wanting to heal from their pain to freeing themselves from addiction to diving deeply into the Divine. These tremendous stories will move you to places you may have never visited – where you’ll find self-love and acceptance – and perhaps a path for your own transformation. Finally, while macrodosing (full-on hallucinogenic experience) with these psychedelic medicines for healing is the major focus of the book, there is also a chapter and several stories on microdosing for healing; the advantage of microdosing is that the dose is too small to produce any perceptible effects.

Book Being Infinite

Download or read book Being Infinite written by Martin W. Ball and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2014-06-05 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "I want to tell you the story of how I accepted the truth that God is the only reality, including you, and including me. I want to tell you the story of how I learned that everything that exists is one, universal, all-embracing, loving being, and how all sense of separation or distinction from this one being is an illusion created by the mind and human ego. I want to tell you how I learned this truth within myself, and have subsequently learned to live with this reality as an individual who has been profoundly and permanently transformed by this truth. "Perhaps despite appearances, this is not a tale of spirituality, religion, or anything of the kind - if anything, it is a tale of overcoming and moving beyond the inherent limitations of religion and spirituality as constructs of the human ego. It is a tale of truth, personal discovery, and liberation and transformation. It is a very personal story with universal ramifications, and as such, it is timeless. "I want to tell you of how I discovered myself, and in doing so, also discovered you."- From Being Infinite In this very revealing memoir, entheogenic researcher, Dr. Martin W. Ball, Ph.D., details his quest for self-discovery, transformation, and liberation into authentic being. His journey takes him through struggles as a graduate student in Religious Studies, an unhappy marriage, explorations of numerous spiritual traditions, and deep into the mysterious realm of entheogens. The tale told here follows Dr. Ball through his practice of Zen meditation, his initiation into Mescalero Apache medicine traditions, use of peyote in the Native American church, ayahuasca and Santo Daime, and the explosive and life-altering event of experiencing 5-MeO-DMT with the Temple of Awakening Divinity and his first encounter with the true nature of being as God and Universal Consciousness. A pivotal moment comes for Dr. Ball in 2007 at Burning Man, where he finally admits to himself that he is profoundly unhappy. In order to be true to himself and his heart, he must make radical changes in his life and dive headfirst into his quest for self-discovery. What unfolds is a profound and shattering process of uncovering the infinite nature of authentic being and his struggle to accept the reality that there is only God - that all of reality is one universal being of pure energy, love, and absolute awareness. Dr. Ball has told his story before in bits and pieces, but this is the first time it has all been articulated in one place in an intimate and comprehensive format. Provocative, challenging, and radical, Being Infinite articulates Dr. Ball's nondual perspective that developed from his entheogenic experiences and the profound transformations they made within his sense of self and understanding of the nature of reality and being. There are many psychedelic memoirs available, but there is nothing else quite like this work that readers are sure to find engrossing, challenging, and maybe even liberating. It is a story that is both personal and universal, and has profound implications for anyone seeking after deeper self-awareness and authentic being, and lays the inspirational groundwork for anyone who is ready to move beyond being spiritual to simply being true, right here, right now. It is a tale of truth, and a tale of freedom from all self-created limitations and the very important role that entheogens, particularly 5-MeO-DMT, have in this profound process. Anyone who is interested in cultivating self-awareness, exploring entheogens, and moving beyond superficial spirituality will surely find this to be a radical edition to their reading list, and just might open a few eyes and hearts in the process. In the end, there is only One, and the task of each person is to discover this eternal truth for him or herself. It cannot be taught. It cannot be learned. It can only be discovered in the core of each individual's heart, and this is Dr. Ball's process of doing exactly that.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Globalization brings people and cultures together, producing, in addition to deep and rich encounters, exclusion, racism, xenophobia and asymmetries. The present book takes these issues implicitly as its starting point by thoroughly reflecting on them from a perspective of worldviews, as one of many approaches. More specifically, it focuses on people’s implicit and explicit interpretations and assumptions of the world, of themselves and of others. Often deeply rooted and hard to change, they have an important function, for without them we would continually need to question what we do and what we think. In their absolutist form, these assumptions may become a barrier for open-mindedness, and hence for deep intercultural understanding and exchange. We need to find a balance between both stances. Intercultural philosophy tries to fulfil this role, on the one hand by comparing different cultures on a deep philosophical level, and as a way to better understand each other’s core assumptions, and on the other hand by arguing for an intercultural philosophy grounded in specific cases. The contributions of this book conceive of "another possible world" which does not condemn cultural and religious diversity as a detonator for "Clashes of Civilizations", but rather welcomes it as a source of inspiration for all and of respect for the "different".

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A rigorous case for the primacy of mind in nature, from philosophy to neuroscience, psychology and physics. The Idea of the World offers a grounded alternative to the frenzy of unrestrained abstractions and unexamined assumptions in philosophy and science today. This book examines what can be learned about the nature of reality based on conceptual parsimony, straightforward logic and empirical evidence from fields as diverse as physics and neuroscience. It compiles an overarching case for idealism - the notion that reality is essentially mental - from ten original articles the author has previously published in leading academic journals. The case begins with an exposition of the logical fallacies and internal contradictions of the reigning physicalist ontology and its popular alternatives, such as bottom-up panpsychism. It then advances a compelling formulation of idealism that elegantly makes sense of - and reconciles - classical and quantum worlds. The main objections to idealism are systematically refuted and empirical evidence is reviewed that corroborates the formulation presented here. The book closes with an analysis of the hidden psychological motivations behind mainstream physicalism and the implications of idealism for the way we relate to the world.
