Download or read book Empath written by Ian Tuhovsky and published by Ian Tuhovsky. This book was released on 2017-09-22 with total page 104 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have others ever told you to “stop being so sensitive?” Have you ever looked at other people and wondered how they manage to get through the day without noticing the suffering going on all around them? Do you feel so emotionally delicate in comparison to your peers that you have tried to block out what is going on around you? You may have even resorted to coping mechanisms such as overeating, overworking, or smoking as a means of managing your emotions. Maybe you have tried to “grow a thicker skin,” or attempted to cover up your feelings with humor? Perhaps you have always felt different to others since childhood, but could never quite put your finger on why. If this description resonates with you, congratulations! You may well be an Empath. Unfortunately, an Empath who lacks insight into their own nature is likely to be miserable. Most of us are familiar with the concept of empathy. Aside from sociopaths, who are largely incapable of appreciating what another individual may be feeling, humans are generally able to understand what others are going through in most situations. Empaths, however, constitute the small group of people who not only understand the emotions of others, but literally feel them too. In short, an Empath takes this common human ability of relating to other peoples’ emotions to extremes. If you have no idea why you are so readily affected by the emotions of others and the events around you, you might become psychologically unstable. You will be unsure as to where your true feelings end, and those of other people begin. Hypersensitivity can be a burden if not properly managed, which is why it’s so important that all Empaths learn to harness the special gift they have been given. That’s where this book comes in. Millions of other people around the world share your gifts and lead happy, fulfilling lives. Make no mistake – the world needs us. It’s time to learn how to put your rare gift to use, maximize your human potential, and thrive in life! If you think you (or anyone around you) might be an Empath or the Highly Sensitive Person – this book is written for you. What you will learn from this book: -What it really means to be an Empath and the science behind the “Empath” and “the Highly Sensitive Person” classification. Find out how our brains work and why some people are way more sensitive than others. -What are the upsides of being an Empath – find your strengths and thrive while making the most of your potential and providing value to this world (it NEEDS Empaths!) by making it a better place. -What are the usual problems that sensitive people struggle with – overcome them by lessening the impact that other people’s emotions and actions have on you, while still being truthful to your true nature, and learn how to take care of your mental health. -The great importance of becoming an emotionally intelligent person – learn what EQ is and how you can actively develop it to become much more peaceful, effective, and a happy person. Discover the strategies that will help you stay balanced and be much more immune to the everyday struggles. -The workplace and career choices – realize what you should be aware of and find how to make sure you don’t stumble into the most common problems that sensitive people often fall prey to. -How to effectively handle conflicts, negative people, and toxic relationships – since sensitive people are more much more immune to difficult relations and often become an easy target for those who tend to take advantage of others – it’s time to put this to an end with this book. -How to deal with Empaths and Highly Sensitive People as a non-Empath and what to focus on if you think that your kid might fall under this classification. -How to connect with other Empaths, what is the importance of gender in this context, and how to stay in harmony with your environment – you will learn all of this and more from this book!

Do you have fears and limiting beliefs hindering your expansion? Would you like to learn amazing techniques to raise your vibration instantly & connect with your higher self? If you've answered yes, this is the book for you! Empaths possess the rare ability to share the emotions and physical sensations of others as though they were their own. While empathic power is a true gift, it can often feel like something of a curse, as empaths often experience a great deal of pain that shouldn't be their responsibility to carry. As such, some empaths choose to shut out or repress, their gift of sensitivity, numbing themselves to emotional wounds, self-isolating, and detaching from their natural instincts. But what if I told you there was a way to enhance your empathic gifts, while also mitigating the symptoms of emotional contagion? What if you could become more sensitive and shield yourself from emotional burnout, energy depletion, and compassion fatigue, all at once? Empaths are natural born healers. If you have struggled to manage your sensitivities in a world that seems intolerant of your desire for positive connection, it may be time to channel your energies into healing work, so that you can embrace your gifts instead of fighting to minimize them. By working to cure the emotional and physical suffering of others, many empaths find that they are also able to heal and empower themselves in the process. When practiced responsibly, empathic healing methods can work to replenish your energy reserves, rather than leaving you drained. Furthermore, healing work can allow empaths to connect with other like-minded individuals who validate their experiences, rather than negating their personal truths. It is never too late to take the first steps of this journey, but I promise you that once you begin, you'll wish you had gotten started ages ago. Empath Healing: The Empath's Survival Guide. Book The Social Neuroscience of Empathy

Download or read book The Social Neuroscience of Empathy written by Jean Decety and published by MIT Press. This book was released on 2011-01-21 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Cross-disciplinary, cutting-edge work on human empathy from the perspectives of social, cognitive, developmental and clinical psychology and cognitive/affective neuroscience. In recent decades, empathy research has blossomed into a vibrant and multidisciplinary field of study. The social neuroscience approach to the subject is premised on the idea that studying empathy at multiple levels (biological, cognitive, and social) will lead to a more comprehensive understanding of how other people's thoughts and feelings can affect our own thoughts, feelings, and behavior. In these cutting-edge contributions, leading advocates of the multilevel approach view empathy from the perspectives of social, cognitive, developmental and clinical psychology and cognitive/affective neuroscience. Chapters include a critical examination of the various definitions of the empathy construct; surveys of major research traditions based on these differing views (including empathy as emotional contagion, as the projection of one's own thoughts and feelings, and as a fundamental aspect of social development); clinical and applied perspectives, including psychotherapy and the study of empathy for other people's pain; various neuroscience perspectives; and discussions of empathy's evolutionary and neuroanatomical histories, with a special focus on neuroanatomical continuities and differences across the phylogenetic spectrum. The new discipline of social neuroscience bridges disciplines and levels of analysis. In this volume, the contributors' state-of-the-art investigations of empathy from a social neuroscience perspective vividly illustrate the potential benefits of such cross-disciplinary integration. This book was released on 2015-12-17 with total page 154 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Empath's Gridlock Paradigm could be considered to be dominant constructs of your "shadow." Anything that we are in denial of - any self-beliefs, habitual actions, unresolved emotions, and/or unacknowledged part of ourselves - that interfere with our well-being and flourishing, or that we refuse to accept and attend to in a healthy resolve, is a covert attempt at "un-own" them. Nevertheless, they are still orchestrating our choices and affecting our results. Sometimes to resolve them we need to understand why they were rejected in the first place. The first ascension of empowerment is simply an offering of a new perspective - one that shows evidence of your actual capacity to create your life. The second ascension brings to the surface your previously unknown - suppressed and unresolved emotional memories that result in self-rejection and destructive self-beliefs. When you resolve the causation of your non-serving beliefs they can then be seen from a higher perspective and acknowledged as false. Your past experiences can be observed from the highest truth to either see their reason for being - as a necessary piece of the puzzle - or to heal them in your memory. With the third ascension you will become clear about your desires and begin to gain a deeper awareness of your intrinsic gifts, resources, and authentic values hierarchy. Knowing that which is most meaningful to you is required to establish your highest probability of success. When you become aware of your actual value and unique elixir of capabilities, you can begin to leverage them effectively. With each ascension - each incremental, gracious liberation from your conditioning - the magnetic force that is pulling you toward your highest, more inspired and joyful self actually succeeds at bringing you closer and closer. You can then deliberately choose your thoughts and feelings that inevitably produce the results you desire.

Book excerpt: This is a 3-book bundle, which addresses various subtopics, including but not limited to these: Book 1: Empaths… empathy… sensitivity… what’s the difference? Some people have developed a knack for feeling compassion or empathy for other people. To others, it comes naturally. And to some, it’s an intense gift that has ups and downs, pros and cons that allow them to help others but also become fatigued when they don’t watch themselves. Are you an empath? Or do you just have a lot of empathy? In this guide, you’ll figure out some of the major distinctions, as well as specific types of empaths, like earth empaths, physical empaths, relationship empaths, dark empaths, and food empaths. You will also receive some advice about how to lead your empathic children in the right paths of life. Book 2: Being an empath can be a good thing, but it also comes with some problems. In this book, we’ll address both sides. These factors of being an empath will have an incredible impact on your life. For example, we will discuss some tips for raising empathic children. We will point out the three types of empaths, so you can identify with the one that suits your personality most. Additionally, we’ll talk about why emotional empaths usually stay alone or why they feel lonely. At the end of the book, some encouraging thoughts are given to help you cope with the difficulties of life, and to help other empaths. Book 3: Why are some people empaths? What is the science behind this? And why are some empaths more susceptible to addictions? These and many other questions will be addressed in this brief guide. On top of that, you will learn more about narcissism versus empathy, how to become a more empathetic spouse, the dangers of social media, healing methods for empaths with traumatic memories, and what the difference is between empathic parenting and “rescue” parenting. All of these topics will help you understand empathy, empaths, and yourself better. This is a great treasure of knowledge about human psychology.
