We don't mind, but we do think we elfae folk should know something of our own history and we still reserve the right to refer to it as the Elven Star even if nearly everyone else now calls it the Faerie Star, for it is one and the same. And when you come down to it, all we elves are fae from the Faerie Realm but not all fae are elves ... or faeries for that matter.
