Book excerpt: This study purpose is to analyze the effect of job satisfaction and organizational commitment on performance. This research uses a quantitative approach with explanatory research type where the aim is to test between hypothesized variables. This research has the hypothesis that will be tested the truth. Samples are 86 respondents. Data is collected by questionnaires and documentation. The data is analyzed by Partial Least Square (PLS). The research result indicates that job satisfaction has a direct effect on employee performance at PT Pindad (Persero). Job satisfaction has no direct effect on employee performance. Test Sobel results show organizational commitment does not mediate the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance.

Book excerpt: In today's economic conditions, it has become mandatory for organizations to use performance measurement methods due to increasing competition conditions. The study investigates the effect of the Balanced Scorecard, one of the performance measurement systems, on employee well-being (EWB) in organizations. As a result of the literature research, it is seen that employee welfare is examined in 3 different areas: Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment, and Job Engagement. One of the most important factors for the success of an organization is the happy employees who contribute tremendously to the improvement of the organization's performance.Both qualitative and quantitative measurement methods were used for this study. The surveys that have used for this study included 27334 employees in the state of Michigan and the surveys data were analyzed by Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 28. The study revealed that the BSC strategies implemented in the State of Michigan improved organizational performance in the four perspectives of financial, customer, internal process, and learning & growth. The statistical results of employee satisfaction surveys show that BSC increases job satisfaction by 68.30% (R-squared: 0.683), work engagement by 71.00% (R-squared: 0.710), and organizational commitment by 21.30% (R-squared: 0.213). With the BSC strategy and learning-growth perspective that has been in effect for 20 years, employee satisfaction has been increased, organizational commitment and job engagement have been prioritized in the State of Michigan. The result of this study will help leaders and HR departments measure and increase employee well-being with performance measurement tools.

The population of the study is made up of 300 academic and non-academic staff of Ritman University, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State. The paper used purposive sampling for the selection of the respondents. Questionnaires were distributed to the respondents for statistical analysis. The study utilized linear correlation coefficient to analyze the data collected. The study revealed a number of findings including: there is a significant correlation between organizational commitment and employee performance, there is a significant correlation between moral or affective commitment and job performance, there is statistically significant correlation between continuance commitment and job performance. Based on the findings, some recommendations were made most importantly: Nigeria University should lay more emphases on the provision of social responsibility to its workers, owners, society and other stakeholders. Finally, the success or failure of any organization depends on its workforce. Adequate motivation and remuneration boost the employee moral to work harder towards achieving or accomplishing challenging task or goals.
