Book The Effect of Economic Changes on Consumer Behavior

Download or read book The Effect of Economic Changes on Consumer Behavior written by Dila Baydar and published by . This book was released on 2023 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With this study, we aim to analyze how economic changes affect consumer buying habits. Essentially this study focuses on consumer behavior. For instance, how do households determine their choices in times of crisis? In which situations they are willing to save? Could they change their primary needs in any given situation? In order to evaluate the answers to these questions, it is necessary to understand the social structures of the countries and to review the choices of the households. Economics is strongly related to other majorities. In order to understand economics correctly and deeply we have to analyze other social and rational sciences. Behavioral economics investigates social formations. In this study, we used behavioral economics as a tool to understand the analyzes we made on consumer behavior. Behavioral economics is the combination of economics and other social sciences. When it is combined with researches in this paper, it should help to understand if empirical analysis we made support the assumptions on consumer behavior. Considering this, many data such as distribution of income percentage received from the World Data and OECD Statistics by years in different countries, the distribution of savings, and the types of products consumed by people were analyzed econometrically by looking at the consumer price index. When evaluating the cross-sectional data, we will use different methods. For instance, regression and correlation between the variables, how does it affect consumer behavior to consumer behavior. During the analyzing process we use Eviews and Stata tools, we will obtain a lot of graphs e.g. histograms, line charts and after that we will compare the graphs. At the end of this study, we expect that there is a strong relationship between consumer behaviors and the events which occur different time periods.

Book Impact of Covid 19 on German Consumer Behavior Elaboration Regarding a Sustained Change of Online Shopping

Download or read book Impact of Covid 19 on German Consumer Behavior Elaboration Regarding a Sustained Change of Online Shopping written by Michel Brandes and published by GRIN Verlag. This book was released on 2021-10-11 with total page 73 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Master's Thesis from the year 2021 in the subject Business economics - Offline Marketing and Online Marketing, Hamburg School of Business Administration gGmbH, language: English, abstract: The goal of this study was to elaborate the differences between COVID-19 induced and a potentially restriction free consumer behavior in 2024 regarding a sustained change of online shopping and the usage of digital services. Two different scenarios were developed (I) asking participants about their behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic and (II) asking participants about their behavior in a pandemic and restriction free environment in 2024. In order to elaborate potential effects, a research model was derived based on a conceptual framework investigating the long-term adherence of behavioral changes combined with item relationships regarding the sustained usage of services. The data was derived through online questionnaires. Afterwards, the conducted data was operationalized and elaborated through multiple (M)ANOVA. The key findings were that the satisfaction levels for both online shopping as well as for the digital services significantly decreased in scenario II. According to the research model this allows the conclusion that a sustained usage is negatively affected. Therefore, the observed acceleration of online shopping could potentially slow down and return to average growth levels. The reduction of satisfaction levels was supported by a correlation reduction of the frequency of use and money spent items which confirmed the reduction of online shopping as well as the usage of digital services. For the retail and e-commerce industry the findings allow strategic implications to prepare for the post pandemic consumer behavior. Consumers will potentially carry their positive experiences with them and translate those into future expectations towards retail and e-commerce. To mention are that due to the decreased satisfaction levels the traditional stationary retail store remains relevant and therefore should be strategically emphasized within retailer’s channel strategy.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We have four main factors that affect consumer behaviour they are;1.Consumer Behaviour - Cultural factors .Culture plays a very vital role in the determining consumer behaviour it is sub divided in.‧Culture is a very complex belief of human behaviour it includes the human society, the roles that the society plays, the behaviour of the society, its values customs and traditions. Culture needs to be examined as it is a very important factor that influences consumer behaviour.‧Sub-CultureSub-culture is the group of people who share the same values, customs and traditions. You can define them as the nation, the religion, racial groups and also groups of people sharing the same geographic location‧Social Class Society possesses social class; in fact every society possesses one. It is important to know what social class is being targeted as normally the buying behaviour of a social class is quite similar. Remember not just the income but even other factors describe social class of a group of consumers.2.Consumer Behaviour - Social Factors Social factors are also subdivided into the following‧Reference groupsUnder social factors reference groups have a great potential of influencing consumer behaviour. Of course its impact varies across products and brands. This group often includes an opinion leader.‧Family The behaviour of a consumer is not only influenced by their motivations and personalities but also their families and family members who can two or more people living together either because of blood relationship or marriage.‧Role and status People who belong to different organizations, groups or club members, families play roles and have a status to maintain. These roles and status that they have to maintain also influences consumer behaviour as they decide to spend accordingly.3.Consumer Behaviour - Personal factors A number of personal factors also influence the consumer behaviour. In fact this is one major factor that influences consumer behaviour. The sub factors under personal factor are listed below.‧Age and life cycle stageAge of a consumer and his life cycle are two most important sub factors under personal factors. With the age and the life cycle the consumers purchase options and the motive of purchase changes, with his decisions of buying products change. Hence this stage does affect consumer behaviour.‧OccupationOccupation of a consumer is affects the goods and services a consumer buys. The occupations group has above average interest in buying different products and services offered by organizations. In fact organizations produce separate products for different occupational groups.‧Financial or economic situations Everything can be bought and sold with the help of money. If the economic situation of a consumer is not good or stable it will affect his purchase power, in fact if the consumers or the economy of a nation is suffering a loss it defiantly affects the consumers purchase or spending decisions.‧Life stylePeople originating from different cultures, sub cultures, occupations and even social class have different styles of living. Life style can confirm the interest, opinions and activities of people. Different life styles affect the purchase pattern of consumers.

Book Economy Factor Be Independent To Influence Consumption Behavior More Easily

This book was released on 2018-08-12 with total page 58 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Introduction I write this book aims to explain whether economy growth or decline factor may have direct influence to impact every consumer behavior change more easily independently. Nowadays, consumers have much choice to buy different products. The kinds of product include essential and non-essential both products. Essential products include food, soft drink, house, cloth, daily toilet consumable etc. This kind of essential product means that they are basic essential need to satisfy consumer individual daily need. Such as human needs to eat, to live, to wear and to go to toilet. Otherwise, non-essential product includes entertainment, e.g. watching movie, listening music, riding bicycle, driving car, playing toy etc. This kind of product means that they are not basic essential need to or basic need to satisfy consumer individual daily need. So, consumers can choose not to buy this kind of product or consume this kind of entertainment. Due to essential or non-essential both kinds of product or essential service, e.g. public transportation or non-essential service, e.g. entertainment service exist, it brings these two questions: (1) Can all these both kinds of essential or non-essential products/services be only influenced independent to change consumer behavior by economy changing factor ? (2) Must economy factor be dependent to other factors to influence consumer behavior changing more easily ? I shall indicate cases to explain clear whether economic factor can be independent absolute influenced to which kinds of product or service of consumer behavior changes in our societies. This book is value to readers who have interest to seek whether either economy environment changing factor can be independent to bring impact to influence consumer behavior changes or economy environment changing factor needs to dependent to other factors to bring impact to influence consumer behavior changes in our societies.

Book How Economy Measurement to Consumer Behaviors

Download or read book How Economy Measurement to Consumer Behaviors written by Johnny Ch Lok and published by . This book was released on 2019-12-26 with total page 366 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How civil wars influence positive or negative impact? On country itself civil war negative impact hand, what is the impact of civil wars on economic growth at domestic and in nearby countries? Some economists believe civil war can have a profound negative influence on the economic fortunes of a country or its neighbors, e.g. owing to a loss of human capital, a destruction of infrastructure and reductions in investment and trade and daily market activities. Within the period of measurement have economic consequences, the economists scale the civil war variable to be better identify their relative impacts. They indicate the distance between countries which is a factor provides the most accurate measure of the negative economic consequences of civil wars on other countries. On country itself civil war positive impact hand, in economic view point, the country itself civil war indicates the income and capital input terms. Since, everything is in per capita terms. Due to civil war encourage technological development. Technology changes are in the investment in labor effectiveness. The capital includes physical and human capital . How civil war influences efficiency growth . The growth in labor's enhanced efficiency is from technology change and capital depreciation. So, anything that can raise labor growth or its improved efficiency, increases the denominator or capital per capita and so reduced its growth and that of incomer per capita. Depreciation or the gradual wearing down of capita; through use or age also limits capital growth. Some economists suggest that war migration is a good growth of labor to influence the immigration country's economic growth. For example, the inflow of refugees from a nearby civil war can lead to in-migration and adversely affect income per capita growth. Migration may, however, influences the in-migration country economic growth if the migrants bring in human capital, due to civil war.Consequently, from a theoretical perspective, civil wars can adversely affect income per capita growth at home through a number of avenues. So civil war will cause bad influence to home country, the reasons are as below: The reasons include: First, a civil conflict can destroy physical and human capital. Second, by the international trade flows, and day-to-day marketing activities, civil wars can inhibit growth. Third, civil wars may divert the inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) owing to heightened perceived risks of investors. Because (FDI) perceived is an imported source of savings that finances investment. So, a fill in FDI results in reduced growth. Heightened instability and risks will also limit investment at home and cause a flight of savings abroad. Fourth, civil wars cause indirect government defense expenditures from productive social overhead capital e.g. roads, public schools and bridges, gardens to less productive defense spending. Fifth, such wars may cause the internal displacement of people as their homes either come under serious control or are destroyed. So that income per capita is adversely influenced. Sixth, civil wars often result in the breakdown of the health lead to lack of medical care, less clean drinking water and reduced sanitation, all of which have negative consequences on economic activities and growth .
