Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Dews of Wonderland is a collection of poems about experiences and emotions. Generally, poems are the intense experiences of human lives, and it is essential to write and study poetry in order to record and know the history of humanity. The experience of a man is not his complete personal; instead, it’s the most common living condition of the whole of mankind. Thus, sharing an individual’s experiences of his critical times with his inner as well as outer worlds and the emotions they evoke are inevitably important. Every poem in this collection carries different experiences and emotions, sometimes as a drop of dew and sometimes as a drop of tear. There is always a need to know and understand both experiences. The poems in this collection strongly deal with dilemmatic human psychology; emotional and psychological traumas; the conflict between fantasy and reality; and most notably, dreams. Also, they provide a critical outlook on society and human behaviour in general.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first book written on the natural history of life on the Nullabor Plain, was written by station-master A.G. Bolam and first published in 1923. The author recollects his times with Aboriginal trackers and workers in and around Ooldeah, as the great railway progressed from South Australia across to Western Australia, and in doing so looks at animal and bird life and the unique geographical feature of the Plain. Bolam studied the Ooldeah tribe and records their nomadic social life, their attitude to clothes and footwear, smoking, bartering, marriage, weapons, tools, whip making and water carrying. He records their approach to fire-making and smoke signals, medicine and surgery, amusements, decorations, corroborees and ceremonies, as well as deaths and burials. Of especial interest are his notes on message sticks, writing, tracking and procuring water in desert conditions.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Visit www.burningrainbowfarm.com On a mission to build a peaceful, pot-friendly Shangri-La, Tom Crosslin and his lover Rollie Rohm founded Rainbow Farm, a well-appointed campground and concert venue tucked away in rural Southwest Michigan. The farm quickly became the center of marijuana and environmental activism in Michigan, drawing thousands of blue-collar libertarians and hippie liberals, evangelicals and militiamen to its annual hemp festivals. People came from all over the country to support Tom and Rollie's libertarian brand of patriotism: They loved America but didn't like the War on Drugs. As Rainbow Farm launched a popular statewide ballot initiative to change marijuana laws, local authorities, who had scarcely tolerated Rainbow Farm in the past, began an all-out campaign to shut the place down. Finally, in May 2001, Tom and Rollie were arrested for growing marijuana. Rollie's 11-year-old son, who grew up on Rainbow Farm, was placed in foster care - Tom would never see him again. Faced with mandatory jail terms and the loss of the farm, Tom and Rollie never showed up for their August court date. Instead, the state's two best-known pot advocates burned Rainbow Farm to the ground in protest. County officials called the FBI, and within five days Tom and Rollie were dead. Obscured by the attacks of September 11, their stories will be told here for the first time.

Book excerpt: My life in a thousand years. Bye, see you in the next life! Thats what they somtimes put in words. But do they know who sometime say these words, that these words are true? In this book it tells the destiny of the same woman when experiences life after life. The soul preserves its experience from previous lifes and looks up those who related to ther soul before, for good or evil. But its all without conscious. Some people take up meditation to experience their past lives; others sometimes experience them through hypnotism, but I dream about them. Often they come to me in bits, and then I have to piece them together. Those who enter their past lives often recognize the people there as the people who are with them in this life, friends or relatives, even if they look different or are of a different nationality. That is how it works with me. I know the people that I have seen in past lives, although, of course, I do not know them all and some I have yet to get to know. When I get to know new people, I can tell whether I have known them before in a past life or lives. I feel like I know some of them and not others, and I only connect with the people that I know, that is, those that I have known in a past life. Some people I know in and out and trust completely, even though I have never seen them before. I have often thought about how peculiar this is and wondered about it, but I got an explanation when I experienced my past lives and recognized people there that I feel connected to in this life. I decided to keep a record of these dreams, write them down in books, and last autumn, I started to make a story out of them. Fact or fiction? I do not know, but all I can say is this: These are my past lives. Mine and the other peoples who appear in the stories and they are the same people who are with me today, although not all of them. When I sleep, I return to the past, to the olden days, and I meet myself and others whom I know today. I see the course of my life, and that of others, throughout many lives and I understand various things that were previously a mystery to me. For example, why am I interested in this? Why do I like him even though I cannot stand him, or more to the point, even though I should not be able to stand him? Why do I dislike this woman even though I do not know her? Why is a certain woman such a good friend of mine even though she has so many character traits that I would not tolerate in others? Why can I not eat meat? Why am I so terrified of spiders? Why am I so terrified of fire?ved many lives and this book contains only two of them.

Simon Rosenblum demonstrated how these weapons systems were dubious even on their own terms--technically, economically and strategically. Deploying a tremendous depth of research, the author shows how Pentagon and defence industry machinations, rather than security needs, explain the contemporary rise of the cruise missile and Star Wars initiatives. Misguided Missiles offers a vital an immediate appreciation of one of the most contentious debates in Canadian national life in the early 1980s.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I have sat and listened to too many words of the collaborating muse, and plotted perhaps too freely with my life, not avoiding injury to others, not avoiding injury to myself— to ask compassion . . . this book, half fiction, an eelnet made by man for the eel fighting my eyes have seen what my hand did. Winner of the 1974 Pulitzer Prize in Poetry, The Dolphin was controversial from the beginning: many of the poems include the letters that Robert Lowell’s wife, the celebrated writer and critic Elizabeth Hardwick, wrote to him after he left her for the English socialite and writer Caroline Blackwood. He was warned by many, among them Elizabeth Bishop, that “art just isn’t worth that much.” Nevertheless, these poems are a powerful document of an impulsive love, and a moving record of Lowell’s change from one life and marriage in America to a new life on new terms with a new family in England, rendered with the stunning technical power and control for which he was so celebrated. This new edition, which follows the 1973 edition, includes scans of the pages of Lowell’s original manuscript, giving us a look into the brilliant and complicated mind of one of our most beloved and distinguished poets.
