Robert's wife was Ann Lynn. Robert and Ann's son Robert (1734-1806) married Margaret Maupin in Virginia in 1762.

No record has been found of David's date or place of arrival in the United States or when he settled in Virginia. Michael, who was a farmer and basket maker, married Barbara, by whom he had eight children. Michael died in August 1819 and is buried in the family plot on Holsinger farm. Several generations of Holsingers have lived on the land acquired by David and Michael in the 1760's.
