Guillaume Trahan (1611-1682), son of Nicolas Trahan and Renee Delonges, was born in Montreuil, Bellay, France and died in Acadia. He is the progenitor of all the Trahans in North America. He was (1) married to Francoise Charbonneau (d. 1645) in Bourgueil, France. She died in Port Royal, Acadia. They had one daughter. He married (2) Madeleine Brun born 1645 in Port Royal, Acadia. They had six children. Descendants live in Louisiana, Canada and elsewhere.
