Marlo, ever the adventure seeker, and Rob, whom she dragged along, find the window of the gang's room. Kids have big eyes and ears. Beneath the window, they see and hear everything. Next day when the kids know that the Sharndo gang is drinking in a local bar, Marlo sneaks through the unlocked window and retrieves the map. They study the map and find, to their delight, that the gold is hidden in the White Cliffs badlands, along the Missouri River. Keeping this a secret, they decide to recover the gold. They build a raft and head on down the Missouri, on an exciting, bold mission.
