My information has been derived partly from friends resident in the localities described, but chiefly from my own personal observations made during four visits to, and a prolonged sojourn in, this beautiful region. To render the little work more complete I have enlarged its boundaries, and it now contains descriptions of the principal Mediterranean winter stations, including those of France, Italy, Spain, and North Africa.
