Book The Climate Change Illusion And the Real Causes of Global Warming

Download or read book The Climate Change Illusion And the Real Causes of Global Warming written by Edward Rouse Pryor and published by . This book was released on 2020-11-09 with total page 338 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book that's turning the climate change world upside-down. The incredible story of how hundreds of millions of people have come to believe that the human use of fossil fuels is the primary cause of global warming and climate change when it is now known that human-caused greenhouse gases do not have the climate forcing power to cause consequential changes in global temperature, but that several recently recognized features of our amazing sun do have the power to cause the changes in global temperature we are witnessing and have seen in the past. Short term, mid-term, and long term global surface temperature changes all have different solar magnetic, radiational, and proximity causes. Our recent global warming, which was so alarming to many, is caused by a 375-year solar dual magnetic wave half-cycle which reached a minimum during the Little Ice Age some 370 years ago, and is now approaching its temperature peak which should occur within the next decade. After that the earth will begin to slowly cool just as it has done some 13 times in the last 10,000 years.

Book Climate Change Hysteria

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Climate alarmists continue to issue dire forecasts of global disasters in coming decades based on long-term computer projections of alleged "anthropogenic global warming" (AGW)—supposedly caused by accumulation of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced in the burning of fossil fuels. Evidently, some climatologists are embarrassed by the fact they haven't yet been able to model and accurately simulate some of the phenomena known to be forcing Earth's climate changes, and consequently, they appear to have adopted a strategy of claiming any effects on Earth's climate by such phenomena are insignificant by comparison to the effects of atmospheric carbon dioxide. Unfortunately, there is no scientific evidence on which to base such a claim. With climatologists conspicuously unable to prove their AGW hypothesis, AGW demagogues are now desperately trying to change the subject. By branding nonbelievers as "climate deniers" and "science deniers," AGW demagogues are falsely claiming nonbelievers deny the well-established fact that Earth's climate changes over time. Nothing could be further from the truth. Such pathetic attempts to change the subject are nothing more, nor less, than the classic smokescreen strategy employed by demagogues whenever they're caught in lies of their own making. The real "climate deniers" are those who are so ignorant of our physical world they don't know the only thing constant about Earth's climate is that it is now, and always has been, constantly changing—and changing so chaotically the changes can be accurately described only as stochastic. Rather than continuing to further inflame climate-change hysteria, isn't it about time to admit the obvious reality that Earth's climate is, and always has been, constantly changing far beyond any feeble human capability to stop it and acknowledge that humanity should focus on accommodating what it can't control? To do otherwise would be just one more pathetic demonstration of human gullibility and ignorance.

Book Global Warming in a Politically Correct Climate

Download or read book Global Warming in a Politically Correct Climate written by M. Mihkel Mathiesen and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2004 with total page 205 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Societies unravel when they lose the glue that holds them together." The opening words of Global Warming in a Politically Correct Climate reveal author M. Mihkel Mathiesen's passionate struggle to reveal how the truth has become controversial in the modern community. Mathiesen explores the paralyzing effect political correctness has on society and the associated environmental scares the public has accepted as fact for 30 years. Contrasting the exaggerations and glib explanations of politicians, advocacy groups, and bureaucracies, Mathiesen provides a clear and revolutionary account of the actual science behind five major environmental campaigns. As the title indicates, Mathiesen's work culminates in a relentlessly objective analysis of the real causes of the present global warming. Based on the latest scientific findings, Global Warming in a Politically Correct Climate contains densely packed information never before published in a format accessible to the non-scientist. With the forgiving veil of political correctness lifted, the roles of advocacy groups, bureaucracies, politicians, industry, the legal profession, and career-conscious scientists are examined. Mathiesen particularly scrutinizes the media. Global Warming in a Politically Correct Climate is an enlightening look at how the transfer of wealth from an unwitting public is justified by averting non-existent threats, and how greed rather than pure idealism is at work in environmental politics.

Book Global Warming False Alarm

Download or read book Global Warming False Alarm written by Ralph B. Alexander and published by Canterbury Pub. This book was released on 2009 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you ever wondered why so many people believe recent climate change is almost entirely the result of human activity, even when there's plenty of evidence to the contrary? It's because the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says so. This compact, readable book pulls apart the flawed science behind the IPCC's assertion that man-made CO2 is causing global warming. Author Ralph Alexander exposes the IPCC's deceptive manipulation of climate data, the roadblocks for the CO2 hypothesis favored by climate change alarmists, and the failed predictions of computer climate models. Dr. Alexander goes on to examine the consequences of the erroneous, but widespread belief that CO2 emissions need to be drastically curbed for the health of the planet. His analysis shows the folly of carbon trading schemes for regulating CO2, together with common illusions about renewable energy sources. The enormous economic cost of cap-and-trade systems squanders our resources on a problem that doesn't even exist.

Book Beyond Global Warming

Download or read book Beyond Global Warming written by John Durbin Husher and published by . This book was released on 2007-12 with total page 204 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Affecting millions of people worldwide, global warming is one of today's most timely and vital topics. It's an issue that's been studied, written about, and debated by scientists and lay people alike. But in Beyond Global Warming, engineer John Durbin Husher argues that we have an even bigger problem on our hands-and shows us what we need to do about it. In Beyond Global Warming, Husher looks at the origins and causes of global warming and delivers compelling answers to the following questions: What is the earth's history relating to climate changes? What caused those changes? Is the population increase responsible for the global warming? Did the addition of oil and fossil fuels to the environment contribute to global warming? Husher suggests that the earth has been consistent and resilient to the many weather events it has experienced since its inception. He maintains that global warming is not related to an overall increase of carbon dioxide in the air, but that it is indicative of a far more pressing energy issue. Beyond Global Warming offers eight creative and powerful solutions for the crisis behind global warming so that, together, we can ease the situation for future generations.

Book Global Warming

    Book Details:
  • Author : Natalie Goldstein
  • Publisher : Checkmark Books
  • Release : 2010
  • ISBN : 9780816081264
  • Pages : 0 pages

Download or read book Global Warming written by Natalie Goldstein and published by Checkmark Books. This book was released on 2010 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An objective look at the controversial topic of global warming. It is an undisputed fact that the Earth's climate is changing, and although the scientific community continues to debate the exact correlation between human activity and climatic change, there is now almost universal consensus that humankind directly impacts Earth's climate--an idea referred to as global warming. Scientists are continuously gathering data that hints at a bleak future. Despite ever-increasing technological advances, recent events such as Hurricane Katrina in the United States and Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar reveal how vulnerable humanity is to the weather. This is the reason many scientists advocate that countries take an active role in limiting the damages they cause, expanding the global warming movement from an environmental issue to a political and social one. Global Warming offers a clear, objective account of the science behind climate change, the potential harm that industrial economies cause to the environment, the international debates that have emerged, and the potential for mitigation. This new volume explores specific case studies, including the United States, Brazil, Australia, Germany, and China, analyzing the effects each country has had on the climate and the steps they are taking to ensure a sustainable future.

Book The Real Inconvenient Truth It s Warming But It s Not CO2

Download or read book The Real Inconvenient Truth It s Warming But It s Not CO2 written by M. Sangster and published by . This book was released on 2019-01-09 with total page 299 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the most disturbing aspects of the entire global warming debate is the certitude of believers, driven almost entirely, if not exclusively by tribal affiliations. This book shows that while CO2 contributes to climate conditions it is not a primary driver, and that the climate models on which energy policies are based are invalid. It also addresses the unconscionable tactics employed by politicians and their media acolytes to perpetuate the myth that human-caused CO2 is responsible for global warming and climate change. A small group of ideologues have over the years hijacked an otherwise noble cause, environmental consciousness, and used it as a proxy to redistribute wealth and ultimately to replace western-style democracies with a world socialist structure under the auspices of the United Nations. To achieve their goals, they use Alinsky-style tactics to denigrate, ridicule, and intimidate skeptics, and Orwellian methods including rewriting history to ensure conformity to their message. There are no angry mobs demanding consensus for the theories of Gravity or E=mc2 because they are testable, repeatable, and confirmed through experiment and observation. The un-testable, un-provable relationship between CO2 and a warming planet plays into the hands of scrupulous ideologues. Only through such an oblique association could they develop a pseudo-secular religion with millions of believers who view those who question its dogma as heretics.

Book excerpt: Extremely topical over recent years, global warming has been the subject of a huge and growing amount of literature. Current literature however tends to fall into two camps: that which is highly scientific in nature and inaccessible to the average student, and that which is directed to the "lay" reader and lacks detail required by students. This book successfully bridges this gap, prividing an accessible explanation of the physical mechanisms of global warming - discussed within the widercontext of climate change.

Book The Climate Change Hoax Argument

Download or read book The Climate Change Hoax Argument written by C. Paul Smith and published by . This book was released on 2021-09-30 with total page 140 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Environmental extremists claim that a consensus of scientists agree that humans arc causing climate change that will cause catastrophic damage to the planet if we do not immediately enact laws and practices to stop it. But those who believe this cannot explain scientific reasons to support it. In fact, the science does not support it-not the "human-caused" part, not the catastrophic damage part, and especially not the assertion that most scientists agree with it. The claim that humans are causing catastrophic climate change is a hoax. The Climate Change Hoax Argument reveals and discusses the history of the hoax and the science that refutes it. Hundreds of renowned scientists from around the world dispute the claims of the IPCC that human-caused climate change is an existential threat to the world. Here are three such statements: "[C]urrent alarm over carbon dioxide is mistaken. . . Fears about man made global warming are unwarranted and are not based on good science." --Dr. Will Happer Professor at the Department of Physics at Princeton University and Former Director of Energy Research at the Dept. of Energy The IPCC's assertion of consensus in support of its AGW claim is "really outrageous and unethical." --Dr. Brilliant AL Briggs, climate statistician and Assoc. Editor of Monthly Weather Review "worst scientific scandal in ... history .... When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists." --Dr. Kiminori Itoh, environmental physical chemist (Japan) Environmental extremists insist that fossil fuels are destroying the earth by emitting too much CO2 into the atmosphere. But they are wrong. Scientific studies confirm that continued use of fossil fuels is not causing global warming; is not causing rising sea levels; is not causing extreme weather; and is not causing more droughts, floods, wildfires, hurricanes, or tornadoes. Science has exposed the climate change hoax.

Book Unsettled

    Book Details:
  • Author : Steven E. Koonin
  • Publisher : BenBella Books
  • Release : 2021-04-27
  • ISBN : 195329524X
  • Pages : 321 pages

Download or read book Unsettled written by Steven E. Koonin and published by BenBella Books. This book was released on 2021-04-27 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Unsettled is a remarkable book—probably the best book on climate change for the intelligent layperson—that achieves the feat of conveying complex information clearly and in depth." —Claremont Review of Books "Surging sea levels are inundating the coasts." "Hurricanes and tornadoes are becoming fiercer and more frequent." "Climate change will be an economic disaster." You've heard all this presented as fact. But according to science, all of these statements are profoundly misleading. When it comes to climate change, the media, politicians, and other prominent voices have declared that "the science is settled." In reality, the long game of telephone from research to reports to the popular media is corrupted by misunderstanding and misinformation. Core questions—about the way the climate is responding to our influence, and what the impacts will be—remain largely unanswered. The climate is changing, but the why and how aren't as clear as you've probably been led to believe. Now, one of America's most distinguished scientists is clearing away the fog to explain what science really says (and doesn't say) about our changing climate. In Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What It Doesn't, and Why It Matters, Steven Koonin draws upon his decades of experience—including as a top science advisor to the Obama administration—to provide up-to-date insights and expert perspective free from political agendas. Fascinating, clear-headed, and full of surprises, this book gives readers the tools to both understand the climate issue and be savvier consumers of science media in general. Koonin takes readers behind the headlines to the more nuanced science itself, showing us where it comes from and guiding us through the implications of the evidence. He dispels popular myths and unveils little-known truths: despite a dramatic rise in greenhouse gas emissions, global temperatures actually decreased from 1940 to 1970. What's more, the models we use to predict the future aren't able to accurately describe the climate of the past, suggesting they are deeply flawed. Koonin also tackles society's response to a changing climate, using data-driven analysis to explain why many proposed "solutions" would be ineffective, and discussing how alternatives like adaptation and, if necessary, geoengineering will ensure humanity continues to prosper. Unsettled is a reality check buoyed by hope, offering the truth about climate science that you aren't getting elsewhere—what we know, what we don't, and what it all means for our future.

Book Windfall

    Book Details:
  • Author : Mckenzie Funk
  • Publisher : Penguin
  • Release : 2015-01-27
  • ISBN : 0143126598
  • Pages : 322 pages

Download or read book Windfall written by Mckenzie Funk and published by Penguin. This book was released on 2015-01-27 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A fascinating investigation into how people around the globe are cashing in on a warming world McKenzie Funk has spent the last six years reporting around the world on how we are preparing for a warmer planet. Funk shows us that the best way to understand the catastrophe of global warming is to see it through the eyes of those who see it most clearly—as a market opportunity. Global warming’s physical impacts can be separated into three broad categories: melt, drought, and deluge. Funk travels to two dozen countries to profile entrepreneurial people who see in each of these forces a potential windfall. The melt is a boon for newly arable, mineral-rich regions of the Arctic, such as Greenland—and for the surprising kings of the manmade snow trade, the Israelis. The process of desalination, vital to Israel’s survival, can produce a snowlike by-product that alpine countries use to prolong their ski season. Drought creates opportunities for private firefighters working for insurance companies in California as well as for fund managers backing south Sudanese warlords who control local farmland. As droughts raise food prices globally, there is no more precious asset. The deluge—the rising seas, surging rivers, and superstorms that will threaten island nations and coastal cities—has been our most distant concern, but after Hurricane Sandy and failure after failure to cut global carbon emissions, it is not so distant. For Dutch architects designing floating cities and American scientists patenting hurricane defenses, the race is on. For low-lying countries like Bangladesh, the coming deluge presents an existential threat. Funk visits the front lines of the melt, the drought, and the deluge to make a human accounting of the booming business of global warming. By letting climate change continue unchecked, we are choosing to adapt to a warming world. Containing the resulting surge will be big business; some will benefit, but much of the planet will suffer. McKenzie Funk has investigated both sides, and what he has found will shock us all. To understand how the world is preparing to warm, Windfall follows the money.

Book Being the Change

    Book Details:
  • Author : Peter Kalmus
  • Publisher : New Society Publishers
  • Release : 2017-08-01
  • ISBN : 1771422432
  • Pages : 282 pages

Download or read book Being the Change written by Peter Kalmus and published by New Society Publishers. This book was released on 2017-08-01 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “A plethora of insights about nature and ourselves, revealed by one man’s journey as he comes to terms with human exploitation of our planet.” —Dr. James Hansen, climate scientist and former director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies Life on one-tenth the fossil fuels turns out to be awesome. We all want to be happy. Yet as we consume ever more in a frantic bid for happiness, global warming worsens. Alarmed by drastic changes now occurring in the Earth’s climate systems, Peter Kalmus, a climate scientist and suburban father of two, embarked on a journey to change his life and the world. He began by bicycling, growing food, meditating, and making other simple, fulfilling changes. Ultimately, he slashed his climate impact to under a tenth of the US average and became happier in the process. Being the Change explores the connections between our individual daily actions and our collective predicament. It merges science, spirituality, and practical action to develop a satisfying and appropriate response to global warming. Part one exposes our interconnected predicament: overpopulation, global warming, industrial agriculture, growth-addicted economics, a sold-out political system, and a mindset of separation from nature. It also includes a readable but authoritative overview of climate science. Part two offers a response at once obvious and unprecedented: mindfully opting out of this broken system and aligning our daily lives with the biosphere. The core message is deeply optimistic: living without fossil fuels is not only possible, it can be better. “In this timely and provocative book, Peter Kalmus points out that changing the world has to start with changing our own lives. It’s a crucial message that needs to be heard.” —John Michael Greer, author of After Progress and The Retro Future
