Download or read book The Way of the Lord s Recovery written by Witness Lee and published by Living Stream Ministry. This book was released on 2024-08-05 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The way of recovery is to recover Christ as our life and everything, to recover the vitality and functioning of every member of the Body of Christ, and to recover the ground of the oneness of the church. For this, there are several important things that we must carry out in our service, including preaching the gospel, endeavoring to lead people to salvation and the knowledge of Christ, and leading the brothers and sisters to function in a living way, coordinate in service, and maintain the testimony of the Lord on the ground of oneness. All this service must be for the church. The ultimate goal of our service is to build up the church, because the church is what God wants to obtain in the universe.

Download or read book The Work is The Worker written by Zacharias Tanee Fomum and published by ZTF Books Online. This book was released on 1901 with total page 878 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The raising and training of competent ministers of the gospel were one of the three burdens that the author, Professor Z.T. Fomum carried permanently in his heart, alongside those of prayer and soul-winning. As disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are called to face the challenge of the unfinished task of the evangelization of all nations. More than two centuries after the ascension of Jesus, there are still many people groups that are yet to be reached with the gospel of salvation. And as members of the body of Christ, we, the people of Christian Missionary Fellowship International (CMFI) are called to bring one billion people from 250 nations to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior who are discipled to obey Him in all things by the year 2065 A.D. Professor Fomum was concerned not only by the challenge of an unfinished task but also by the eternal loss of many souls for whom Christ died. To this end, competent ministers of the New Covenant are in short supply. That is the essence of The Work is The Worker–a desperate attempt to produce the kind of workers who will do the work to the satisfaction of God’s heart. This second volume comprises teachings delivered at various sessions of the CMFI Missionary Academy–The School of Knowing and Serving God (SKSG) between 1999 and 2009.

Book Three Lords and Three Ladies of London

Download or read book Three Lords and Three Ladies of London written by and published by Anaphora Literary Press. This book was released on 2023-05-02 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An allegorical morality comedy about criminality and the rivalries between London, Lincoln and Spain. This play is an exercise by a young dramatist who is grappling with understanding philosophical and legal concepts by simplifying these into personifications. Three Lords of London (called Pleasure, Pomp and Policy) declare their superiority with puffing emblems and insist that they have an innate right to marry the three Ladies of London (Love, Lucre and Conscience). The Ladies have been imprisoned in the first part of this series (Three Ladies of London) for their sins, and Nemo has decided that he would only release them if precisely three suitors bid for all of their hands in marriage simultaneously. The Ladies are told to remain silent and to obey whoever is willing to marry them, or they would have to return to prison to be tortured by Sorrow. Thus, instead of the standard comedic objections from female characters to potential matches, the only obstacles to this pre-determined resolution are that the three Lords of Spain and the three Lords of Lincoln appear to also bid for the Ladies. The defeat of the Spaniards is presented in an exchange of insults about emblems and epithets during a meeting that alludes to the Spanish Armada attack. And the Lords of Lincoln are briskly defeated when they are told they merely deserve the symbolic stones the Ladies have been sitting on. The introductory remarks explain how Lords should be part of the main canon because it might be one of only three pre-“Shakespearean” British comedies. And a section presents an alternative explanation for the mystery of how the seven copies of Lords’ print-run ended up with strange combinations of varying typos. The annotations explain how the detail of Usury’s parents being Jewish has been misinterpreted by previous critics as anti-Semitic, when this passage actually summarizes the ethnic backgrounds of the actual members of the Ghostwriting Workshop, as the merchant-lender among them Sylvester was Jewish, and Percy was from a region near-Scotland and had been educated in France. And evidence is presented why the series that includes Lords and Ladies should be re-attributed away from “Robert Wilson” and to Percy. “Enhanced for academia with the inclusion of a 6 page listing of Acronyms, a 1 page Summary, a 23 page Exordium, 21 pages of Plot and Staging, a 104 page Text, and and 5 pages of Terms, References, Questions, and Exercises, The Three Lords and Three Ladies of London is Volume 10 of that Anaphora Literary Press British Renaissance Re-Attribution and Modernization series. A unique and unreservedly recommended addition to community, college, and university library Shakespeare, British, and Irish drama collections”. —Midwest Book Review, James Cox, The Theatre/Cinema Shelf Exordium Plot and Staging Text Terms, References, Questions, Exercises

Download or read book God the Worker written by Robert Banks and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2008-12-24 with total page 300 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Here is an invitation to embark on a journey of discovery that marshals our imagination and emotions, our intellect and will. God the Worker seeks to answer the ultimate questions: - What is God really like? - Can we know God intimately? - Where do we fit into the overall scheme of things? In his quest for answers, Robert Banks opens up the world of the Bible and everyday life as he explores dynamic images of God at work: as composer and performer, as metalworker and potter, as garmentmaker and dresser, as gardener and orchardist, as farmer and winemaker, as shepherd and pastoralist, as tentmaker and camper, as builder and architect. He shows how, through the language and idea of work, the divine hand is revealed. This book offers us the opportunity to encounter God in a way that is mind-expanding, life-changing, work-transforming--taking us to the very edges of human understanding. The author sees the Bible as a guidebook and source of insight that is completely fresh, but paradoxically as old as the book itself.

Book Words of Encouragement While Awaiting the Lord s Return

Download or read book Words of Encouragement While Awaiting the Lord s Return written by E. Richard Pigeon Ph.D. and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2021-06-16 with total page 107 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The apostle Paul always gave thanks to God for all the believers in Thessalonica, mentioning them in his prayers. He remembered their work of faith, their labor of love, and their steadfastness of hope in the Lord Jesus. His two letters are meant to encourage them to progress even more in a life pleasing to God. In these letters, the teachings on the Lord’s return, first to take His Church and then to reign, are presented with great clarity. They were meant to comfort those dear believers in Thessalonica, to remove their fears, and to resolve their doubts. We will also find much encouragement ourselves in carefully reading these two letters. The exhortations to lead an orderly life, to live quietly, and to encourage and edify one another are more relevant today than ever. They help us, while waiting for the return of the Lord, “to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls us into His own kingdom and glory.” The purpose of these Words of Encouragement is to help readers find personal encouragement in Paul’s letters to the Thessalonians and in the commentaries on each verse. This book is meant to stimulate us in our work of faith, our labor of love, and our steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. May we persevere in our Christian journey until the Lord’s return. He is coming soon!
