Book Guide to Programs for Calculating the Thermodynamic Properties of Air version 3 0

Download or read book Guide to Programs for Calculating the Thermodynamic Properties of Air version 3 0 written by Richard T. Jacobsen and published by . This book was released on 1989 with total page 32 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "A new computer software package based on new interim thermodynamic property formulation has been written in standard FORTRAN 77 to calculate the thermodynamic properties of air. This report documents the software package and provides information necessary to incorporate individual subprograms from the package into design and analysis applications which require thermodynamic properties of air. Although this software package was originally developed on IBM compatable micro-computers, and the interactive utility program provided with the package is tailored to such an environment, the property calculation subprograms have been written to facilitate portability between the microcomputer and mainframe."--Leaf i.

Book Steam and Gas Tables with Computer Equations

Download or read book Steam and Gas Tables with Computer Equations written by Thomas F. Jr. Irving and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2012-12-02 with total page 201 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Steam and Gas Tables with Computer Equations presents tables illustrating the thermodynamic properties of steam and air, along with computer equations. Additional equations for a number of other gaseous substances which are useful in engineering investigations are included. This book is comprised of two chapters and begins with a discussion on the thermodynamic properties of steam, which can be divided into saturation and superheat properties. The various thermodynamic properties, including saturation temperature and pressure and liquid and vapor saturation entropy, are represented with three basic types of equations from the triple point to the critical point. The accuracy of the properties calculated from the base data is also considered. The next chapter deals with the thermodynamic properties of air and other gases (ethane, hydrogen, methane, nitrogen, oxygen propane, n-butane), including those properties which are useful in engineering design and analysis (specific heat at constant pressure and volume, enthalpy and entropy function, isentropic pressure function, etc). This monograph will serve as a useful guide for chemists, mathematicians, and computer programmers and scientists.

Book Thermophysical Properties of Air Version 5 0

Download or read book Thermophysical Properties of Air Version 5 0 written by Richard T. Jacobsen and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 34 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "A computer software package (AIRPROPS Version 5.0) for calculating the thermophysical properties of air is presented. Computer programs in this package are given in standard FORTRAN 77. The programs given here supersede all previous versions of AIRPROPS and provide for calculation of both equilibrium and transport properties of air for system design and analysis. Properties of mixtures of nitrogen, argon and oxygen for various compositions are also provided by programs included in this package. This report documents Version 5.0 of the software package. It provides information necessary to incorporate individual subprograms from the package into application programs. although the software package was originally developed on DOS-based microcomputers and the interactive utility program AIRPROPS is tailored to such an environment, the property calculation subprograms are written to facilitate portability between microcomputers and mainframes."--Page ii.

Book A Computer Model for the Calculation of Thermodynamic Properties of Working Fluids of a Gas Turbine Engine

Download or read book A Computer Model for the Calculation of Thermodynamic Properties of Working Fluids of a Gas Turbine Engine written by John M. Pelton and published by . This book was released on 1976 with total page 87 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A computer model is presented for the calculation of the thermodynamic properties of air and the exhaust gas from a gas turbine. The model was developed specifically to include the requirements for on-line data reduction systems. These requirements include minimum memory and calculation time and constituents and their thermodynamic properties that may be readily located and altered if necessary. The model is based on air and hydrocarbon fuels and includes real gas effects (intermolecular forces and chemical dissociation). Eqautions for the thermodynamic properties of the constituents of air and exhaust gas are included. Calculated data form this program are compared with data from sources currently in use in the gas turbine industry. (Author).

Book Guide to Computer Programs for Iterative Calculations of Thermodynamic Properties

Download or read book Guide to Computer Programs for Iterative Calculations of Thermodynamic Properties written by Richard Byron Stewart and published by . This book was released on 1983 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Computer programs using selected iterative methods for the calculation of thermodynamic properties in the single phase region and on the coexistence boundaries are given. All properties for the single phase are explicit functions of temperature and density. Properties for coexistence boundaries are functions of temperature only. Therefore, the iterative calculations of single phase properties return temperature and/or density. Coexistence properties are calculated either from the equation of state (i.e., by application of the Maxwell equal area principle) or by the intersection of the equation of state with a vapor pressure equation. The iterative subroutines are listed in the appendices."--Page i.
