Download or read book Black Magic Witchcraft and Occultism written by Sajal Nag and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2023-06-09 with total page 449 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Black magic, occult practices and witchcraft still evoke huge curiosity, interest and amazement in the minds of people. Although witchcraft in Europe has been a widely studied phenomenon, black magic and occult are not yet a popular theme of academic research, even though India is known as a land of magic, tantra and occult. The Indian State of Assam was historically feared as the land of Kamrup-Kamakhya, black magic, witchcraft and occultic practices. It was where different Tantric cults as well as other occult practices thrived. The Khasi Hills are known for the practice of snake vampire worship. The village of Mayong is the village, where magic and occult is still practiced as a living tradition. This book is one of the rarest collections where such practices are researched, recorded and academically analyzed. It is one of those collections where studies of all three practices of Black Magic, Witchcraft and Occult are comibned into one single book.

Book Naming of God in every religion

Download or read book Naming of God in every religion written by Abdul Waheed and published by Abdul Waheed . This book was released on with total page 47 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The word God is invented or named in different languages in each religion. To understand this one has to investigate the ancient inscriptions and history from which it is known. The concept that a person of any religion tells about God from his religion is so sure that this word is ancient than religion, it is adopted later, it is a part of some civilization (culture). By the way, many words of God have been used in the holy books of each religion, like in Islam there are 99 names, some people call them 101 as well. Similarly, there are many names of God in every religion of the world. Just as a name is given to identify a human being, in the same way God is named in the same regional language to identify him. As for the hair of atheists, they have got this word from the people of religion only. No matter how ancient an idol of any religion is, it is made into a form of one or the other human being, but God or God is a different thing, there is no idol of him. On this occasion, this book has been presented in front of you, please read it and gain your knowledge and if you have any information, please tell for the ad. Thank you . Also available in paperback version. Yours- Abdul Waheed, Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Book Using English as a Lingua Franca in Education in Europe

Download or read book Using English as a Lingua Franca in Education in Europe written by Zoi Tatsioka and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2018-06-25 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume examines the role of English as a Lingua Franca (ELF) in education in Europe. Following the implementation of the Bologna process, English has assumed a central role in European education offering institutions the opportunity to cater to the needs of an internationalized student body and increase their competitiveness. On the other hand, the increased use of ELF has become an issue of concern, often perceived as a threat to other languages, tilting the scale towards linguistic inequality and stressing the urgent need for the development of new language policies. Both aspects of ELF are at the center of discussion in the proposed volume, which consists of a variety of papers examining ELF in different parts of Europe (Eastern, Central and Western) and different levels of education. The volume makes a substantial contribution to the lively and controversial debate about what is recognized as a central topical concern of language education policy in Europe and beyond.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Greek drama is as relevant today as ever—it is high energy and archetypal. Dramatic arts motivate and engage students kinaesthetically, visually, and linguistically, and Greek drama provides a rich framework for language arts and comparative literary studies. Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex correlates nicely with Plato’s epistemological guidance in the art and discipline of thought and self-study. Life, Liberty, and Happiness: Oedipus Rex and Plato at the Crossroads provides multifaceted, mirror studies of the Self that illustrate the Greek genius for ethical agency and remind readers that in the end, character is the greatest art form. Here and there cross-cultural references evoke and develop themes about the overarching unity of humanity and the virtues of democracy. In addition to literary and philosophical analyses, background information and diverse classroom lessons are included.

Maharaj Shree was kind enough to speak on this subject and make a thread – bare analysis of it for the benefit and welfare of the devotees. The talk was delivered in Hindi. The English rendering of it is presented to the World – wide circulation. Further, queries and questions were raised on Hath – Chakra – Penetration and Yoga? Whether Idol worship is desirable or not? What is real Yoga? A lot of confusion exists regarding various forms of Yoga like Hatha Yoga, Raj Yoga, Laya Yoga and Kundalini Yoga, Shat Chakra Yoga and Yoga - Asanas? What is the truth? Where does it lie? Some queries were regarding the true nature of Dhyana (Meditation) which have been forwarded for exposition by the saints gathered at the Ashram at large. Many of them have attended Meditation camps at different places but failed to get peace. They have requested Swami Ji should also organise such meditation camps. One of them was particularly inquisitive to know about – what is Meditation and on whom to meditate? As there was a lot of confusion about it was prevailing in the society. All these queries were resolved in the light of the directions and preaching’s of our Gurudeo Bhagwan Shri Paramhansa Swami Shri Parmananda Ji Maharaj. Book Article 370 And Economy of Jammu And Kashmir

Download or read book Article 370 And Economy of Jammu And Kashmir written by Saurabh Pandey and published by Educreation Publishing. This book was released on 2019-02-28 with total page 79 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Article 370 of the Constitution of India relating to special status of the State of Jammu and Kashmir is now sixty-nine years old. It is the only state in the Union of India which negotiated the terms of its membership with the Union. The state acceded to India under ‘unique circumstances’ and the ‘unique problems’ existing within the state require a ‘unique solution’. One such problem is the impact of Article 370 on its capable economy. Kashmir’s tourism is an under developed sector which nevertheless fuels its economy. It is abundantly rich in natural resources including fertile lands, rivers, and various other resources which otherwise would have contributed towards a flourishing economy. Despite this, the economy of the state has not been able to grow at an expected pace. The authors argue that it is because of the presence of Article 370 and the resulting socio political conditions, the economy is in a sorry state. The constitutional provision giving special status ensures that no outsider can buy land or start any business, which makes it difficult to invest in the state. Also, the provision gives a limited space to the central government in the economic domain and in consequence to pool substantial resources for consolidating the economy. The authors’ idea is to bring forth how this politico-legal provision has shaped the economy of the state and how the functioning is to be changed for a better future.

Book Contemporary Developments in Tibet Juxtaposition with International Human Rights Law

Download or read book Contemporary Developments in Tibet Juxtaposition with International Human Rights Law written by Jha Pranav Kumar and published by INK FREEDOM PUBLISHERS. This book was released on 2024-05-21 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This handbook has been specially crafted by keeping in mind the needs of researchers who are not from a legal background and are working on the human rights situation in Tibet. An academic from any social science discipline will have a perspective on human rights, which is a testament to the depth and width of the field. The legal perspective, however, gives gravitas to assertions and arguments, since it illuminates the obligations and duties that States and International actors are bound by. Even though there is a wealth of information readily available on the internet about the law, wading through the sheer volume of the material can prove to be an uphill task. To address these concerns, this handbook offers a comprehensive view of the most fundamental human rights paradigms applicable to the current situation in Tibet. It is an endeavour, therefore, that the handbook can be appropriated and read by both researchers and layperson.
