Book Declarative Agent Languages and Technologies II

Download or read book Declarative Agent Languages and Technologies II written by João Leite and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2005-06-16 with total page 301 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The second edition of the workshop on Declarative Agent Languages and Te- nologies (DALT 2004) was held July 2004 in New York City, and was a great success. We saw a signi?cant increase in both the number of submitted papers and workshop attendees from the ?rst meeting, held July 2003 in Melbourne. Nearly 40 research groups worldwide were motivated to contribute to this event by submitting their most recent research achievements, covering a wide variety of the topics listed in the call for papers. More than 30 top researchers agreed to join the Program Committee, which then collectively faced the hard task of selecting the one-day event program. The fact that research in multi-agent systems is no longer only a novel and promising research horizon at dawn is, in our opinion, the main reason behind DALT’s (still short) success story. On the one hand, agent theories and app- cations are mature enough to model complex domains and scenarios, and to successfully address a wide range of multifaceted problems, thus creating the urge to make the best use of this expressive and versatile paradigm, and also pro?t from all the important results achieved so far. On the other hand, bui- ing multi-agent systems still calls for models and technologies that could ensure system predictability, accommodate ?exibility, heterogeneity and openness, and enable system veri?cation.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Language of the Gods sets out to challenge the way we see the world, our adopted belief systems and coordinates within world history. It exposes how the potential of a united humanity has been suppressed by various forms of control over thousands of years. The book is a journey of discovery into our true connection to the universe, and the relationship between the macrocosm and microcosm. The reader will come away with a fresh empowering view of how planetary cycles and energies along with human consciousness are the drivers behind geopolitical events and the ever changing fortunes of time. The book was the result of years of research into this subject. It tries to show how the control system have used deceit, fear; debt and division to keep themselves firmly at the helm while offering the rest of us an array of sophisticated techniques not only to divide us consciously but also subconsciously, perverted versions of spirituality disguised as monotheistic planet worshiping religions. I also set out to discover a correlation between consciousness, the energetic cycles of the planets and what the ancient Egyptians were trying to tell us. From a deep understanding of natural universal cycles I also wanted to know if it was possible to gain an insight into what cosmic forces will be prominent in our near future and how they will influence the geopolitical landscape.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume is devoted to three key themes central to studies in regional science: the sub-national labor market, migration, and mobility, and their analysis. The book brings together essays that cover a wide range of topics including the development of uncertainty in national and subnational population projections; the impacts of widening and deepening human capital; the relationship between migration, neighborhood change, and area-based urban policy; the facilitating role played by outmigration and remittances in economic transition; and the contrasting importance of quality of life and quality of business for domestic and international migrants. All of the contributions here are by leading figures in their fields and employ state-of-the art methodologies. Given the variety of topics and themes covered this book, it will appeal to a broad range of readers interested in both regional science and related disciplines such as demography, population economics, and public policy.

Book The Semitic Languages

Download or read book The Semitic Languages written by John Huehnergard and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-10-08 with total page 594 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Semitic Languages presents a unique, comprehensive survey of individual languages or language clusters from their origins in antiquity to their present-day forms. The Semitic family occupies a position of great historical and linguistic significance: the spoken and written languages of the Phoenicians, Hebrews and Arabs spread throughout Asia and northern and central Africa; the Old Semitic civilizations in turn contributed significantly to European culture; and modern Hebrew, modern literary Arabic, Amharic, and Tigrinya have become their nations' official languages. The book is divided into three parts and each chapter presents a self-contained article, written by a recognized expert in the field. * I. General Issues: providing an introduction to the grammatical traditions, subgrouping and writing systems of this language family. * II. Old Semitic Languages * III. Modern Semitic Languages Parts II and III contain structured chapters, which enable the reader to access and compare information easily. These individual descriptions of each language or cluster include phonology, morphology, syntax, lexis and dialects. Suggestions are made for the most useful sources of further reading and the work is comprehensively indexed.
