Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Autobiography of Satan Of the professional ministers of religion there are many who, exercising their functions in the spirit of the Lord Jesus, hold high rank among the salt Of the earth. Such men, what ever their creed, whatever their position, I honour and love. These are not the priests whom I censure in some of the following pages. The term is meant to describe a caste, a power, a direction of clerical agency which thinks more of itself than its avowed Master, and labours for what is called the Church'f rather than for the real interests Of beings who cannot be well O hereafter except so far as, in the true sense. Book The Autobiography of SATAN Authorized Edition

Download or read book The Autobiography of SATAN Authorized Edition written by William Glasser and published by William Glasser. This book was released on 2011-06-23 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Story of Satan's Many Struggles, Across the History of Human Existence, to Unshackle the Human Mind, and Open the Gates to Forbidden Knowledge. From the moment of his first emergence as a single spark in the dimness of prehistory, to the more enlightening force into which he evolves across the full span of human existence, Satan, as he now clearly illustrates, has been urging human beings to open their eyes to the world around them, and to continue seeking, with unfettered minds, for ultimate answers, yet to be found. To do so he must struggle against the persistent attempts to stifle that urge by the "spoon feeders," as he calls them, individuals who have insisted, within every age, and often with a bloody fist, that they, and they alone, are the possessors of the only beliefs that every human being should accept and live by, without question. As Satan traces the history of their many attempts to stop human beings from thinking for themselves, he also takes his readers on a search for the ultimate source of all evil in this world. Readers will obviously enter the book with the standard concept of Satan as a supernatural figure of evil. They will leave the book, however, with a better understanding of how such mind-twisting concepts have been used to keep people away from the "forbidden" knowledge that lies beyond the borders of entrenched beliefs.

Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Pomps of Satan "We authors," Disraeli is rumoured to have remarked in the course of a conversation with V. R.; and though the plural was singular, it is rumoured, too, that with it he flattered her basely. It is rumoured also that nothing ever flattered her more except when he made her Empress of India. These rumours are repeated for what they are worth. One of them relates to an incident that occurred a long time ago, and may not have occurred at all. Even so, and even otherwise a point remains. Titles appeal to women. They are highly decorative, very becoming, serviceable in more ways than one. They may not perhaps lessen the length of the ears, but the attendant tiaras conceal it. C'est deja, beaucoup. The taste is not limited to women either. There are men who would not know how to get along without them. This book was released on 2018-03-08 with total page 72 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Satan and His Ancestors, From a Psychological Standpoint The distinction between demons and devils has not always been strictly adhered to, because they have not at all times been so clearly separated. In the minds of their advocates. In general, however, demon simply means a natural agent of physical (and sometimes mental) pain or suffering. These did evil because it was a part of them, and no one expected anything else of them. From such a. Standpoint, theoretically, they could not be blamed, but, because of inconsistent man, this has not always been the case. A devil proper is one who does evil for its own sake. He could do either, but chooses evil in preference to good. The first half of, the paper was meant to deal simply with the historical development of Satan and his forbears. It has been impossible and needless to draw the line very distinctly. Many attempted explanations would creep in from a more philosophical standpoint. The second half has its special introduction. In brief it is an attempted explanation of the rise, growth, and death of Satan. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Book The Autobiography of Satan

Download or read book The Autobiography of Satan written by John Beard and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2012-05-15 with total page 666 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As this book is intended not so much for scholars as the general pubhc, I have not attempted more than a series of readable sketches. The same consideration has led me to adopt the aatobiographical form, which, with the supposition of an intelligent companion, gives me some of the advantages of a conversational style. Only in the large portion of the work devoted to the Scriptures have I, without departing from a popular manner, aimed at a certain degree of completeness. To handle adequately all the grave topics of this comprehensive theme would require a library instead of a volume. Having aimed at nothing less than to deal a blow at Traditionalism, Sacerdotalism and Satanism, which reciprocally evoke and support each other, and which, in a brood of superstitions, have inflicted on our race many of the direst evils under which it has suffered, I have simply pursued such a method as seemed to me most likely to conduce to my object. I may have missed my mark, but I shall pass the rest of my days in deeper satisfaction for having shot the arrow. And this observation leads me to say that personal considerations have exercised an influence in determining me to compose the book. My childhood and early youth were haunted by cruel phantasms which had their source in the gross superstition I now
