Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the second of a series of textbooks on the astrology of the new dwarf planets, based on the research at the Dwarf Planet University. Probably the most valuable section is the house interpretations, looking at how Makemake manifests in our daily lives with example case studies. There is also a workbook to locate and on-board this new energy in your chart. And a section introducing each of the dwarf planets to put Makemake in context. Many astrologers believe that new planets are discovered when we are ready to incorporate the new consciousness represented by that planet into our existing consciousness. We've noticed this with the discovery of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto over the last two hundred years, and now with the discovery of ten more planets we're entering a period of rapid consciousness development. When our consciousness is focussed on the inner planets, everything that is important is our feelings, our ideas and values, our agency and the luck and material rewards that these bring us. "You can't take it with you, right?" And at this level we tend not to be conscious of the action of the outer planets in our lives. The inner planets represent aspects of personality, while the outer planets represent aspects of consciousness. As each new outer planet is discovered, it represents a new aspect of consciousness that is becoming available to us. The discovery of Uranus brought us intuitive consciousness, the discovery of Neptune, spiritual consciousness, and the discovery of Pluto, psychological consciousness. So, the discovery of Makemake represents a new aspect of consciousness that we can now uncover in ourselves. Put simply, Makemake takes the intuitive understanding of Uranus and turns it into a rich contextual understanding, into a wisdom or a cosmic consciousness. However, this new consciousness doesn't kick in automatically, rather we must actively incorporate it into our lives. And because these outer planets talk of consciousness, how they manifest in our lives depends on our current level of consciousness. Most people on the planet experience the outer planets as unconscious influences, where these esoteric new energies are only perceived when, like Pluto, they barge into our lives in a confrontational way, because we haven't been sensitive and adaptable in the lead up. As we develop spiritually, however, and consciously on-board these new energies into our lives, they become like guides into new territory, offering us special skills or challenges, depending on the aspects in our chart. At this level, rather than unconscious influences, the outer planets become like a new super-consciousness.

Download or read book More Plutos written by Sue Kientz and published by Dog Ear Publishing. This book was released on 2015-05-04 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Astronomers may have demoted Pluto, but astrologers know better. Pluto is powerful and essential to their work. But few appreciate that there are MORE PLUTOS in the Kuiper Belt, more important bodies astrologers and others interested in the craft should be using in chart work. Author Sue Kientz addresses her primer on the new Dwarf Planets to astrological professionals or anyone studying astrology in depth. General readers may nevertheless enjoy learning which celebrities have connections to these massive bodies, since those examples as well as famous disasters (9-11, Challenger explosion, JFK assassination) and achievements (light-bulb invention, Moon landing) are presented in engaging detail. Kientz analyzes Eris, Makemake, Haumea, Sedna, Quaoar, Orcus, Varuna, Ixion, and others, while revealing why Secondary Progression works and how astrology delivered convincing results even before modern planets were discovered. Planetary patterns are demonstrated to have fractal structure, suggesting astrology has a promising underlying scientific basis. Sue Kientz (B.A., Theater, Adelphi University; M.A., English, University of New Orleans) first became interested in astrology in 1977 when she decided to conduct a long-term study of zodiac signs to investigate literary symbolism. Originally skeptical that astrology could have any value, after learning how to calculate charts, she was intrigued by the results. Kientz always included the large asteroids in her chart work, but after working with new Kuiper-Belt discoveries Eris, Makemake, Haumea, Sedna, and others, she realized they provided the finishing touches astrology needs to deliver its unique view of people and events in a simple, straightforward manner. Book The Astrology Guide

Download or read book The Astrology Guide written by Claudia Trivelas and published by Visible Ink Press. This book was released on 2023-04-25 with total page 584 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How does each planetary sign, each house, and the relationships between planetary bodies influence your life? This essential guide lets you harness the energy of your unique astrological influences and gifts! Building on the basics of traditional astrology with an in-depth understanding of the 12 signs, 12 houses, the planets, and the planetary combinations, The Astrology Guide: Understanding Your Signs, Your Gifts, and Yourself includes interpretations of the asteroid Chiron and the recently discovered dwarf planets Ceres, Eris, and Sedna. Beginner and advanced practitioners will benefit from its mastery of chart interpretation and its understanding of the gifts (and challenges) of planetary energies. Rather than interpreting planetary influences as "good" or "bad,” thereby putting the individual in a box, The Astrology Guide looks at the "gift" and the corresponding "shadow" each planet, sign, house placement, and planetary combination in the astrology chart offers. The “shadow” is a concept first coined by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung that describes those aspects of the personality that we choose to reject or repress, and embracing the planetary shadow creates personal empowerment. The planets are not doing something to you; instead, you can learn to interact with them, dance with their energy, and exist in harmony with them. This informative guide aids in self-discovery and furthers self-empowerment by helping you answer questions such as … Who are you? What makes you unique? Do you know your unique gifts? What needs to be healed before you fully embrace your unique self? Are there obstacles interfering with expressing your unique gifts or are these obstacles the gift? Is there a story you are reflecting that is influenced by a prominent planet, asteroid, or a newly discovered dwarf planet in your chart? How do you relate to the Moon's Nodal influences in your birth chart? Is there an archetypal story that resonates with you? How do the minor aspects to your Personal Planets enrich your understanding of your talents and abilities? What are the flaws or the “shadows” following you around? Are those shadows bringing you down …, taking away your joy? Do these shadows include traumas, blocks, and wounds? And, much, much more! The Astrology Guide will develop your resilience to life’s cycles and outer influences and show you the unconscious parts of yourself that subtly influence your behavior. Numerous photographs and illustrations, a helpful bibliography, and an extensive index add to its usefulness. Learn about your innate, unique gifts and gain satisfaction, fulfillment, and confidence!

Book The Ephemeris of Trans Neptunian KBO Planets

Download or read book The Ephemeris of Trans Neptunian KBO Planets written by Henry Seltzer and published by Starcrafts Pub.. This book was released on 2021-10-05 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the ephemeris pages that follow, the positions of the four Kuiper Belt Object (hereafter KBO) planets Pluto, Eris, Makemake, and Haumea, are given from 1900 to 2050, once a week at midnight on Sundays. The calculations are for Greenwich, England, and are based on the Swiss Ephemeris from Astrodienst, version 2.10, as of March 2021. Although major feminine asteroid Ceres is also now labeled 'dwarf planet, ' she resides in the Asteroid belt and her meaning in Western Astrology is relatively well-known, so that she will not be part of this discussion. Also, while it is possible that other KBOs will eventually be named as planets, the IAU as of this writing has no plans to do so.1 The meaning of Pluto is well-known, so we will concentrate on these three new ones. Eris is of a size, density, and brightness to rival Pluto and has been shown to be quite significant in chart work. Makemake and Haumea are smaller, but still these four are the largest known Kuiper Belt Objects. In this Introduction we will provide evidence for the astrological significance of all three of these new KBO planets. After many years of study into these very interesting bodies as they relate to Western Astrology, I have been able to come to the conclusion that they are all quite significant in charts. My earlier research focused on Eris and resulted in the idea that this new outer planet represents a Feminine Warrior archetype in support of soul intention. This is related to life purpose, references deep inner values, and represents as well a dedication to principle that is so strong that it can border on the violent at times. All this has been documented in my book, The Tenth Planet, published by The Wessex Astrologer. Since the publication date of this work in the spring of 2015, the evidence along these lines continues to pile up, so that I am more confirmed than ever in this delineation. Over and over, I have found Eris to be incredibly powerful in both natal and forecasting astrology. In the first section of this introduction, I will share key example charts that testify to her astrological meaning. Henry Seltzer presents to us, in addition to his most interesting and informative book on Eris, his current work on Makemake and Haumea, those other "trans-Neptunian" bodies named as planets. Henry has done this not only through his extensive studies as to their meaning, but also with an ephemeris for their positions through 2050, so that we as astrologers might make due experiment and come to integrate them (or not!) into our personal astrological system of interpretation. -Alan Oken, author of Soul-Centered Astrology Astrologers cannot fathom the meaning of new worlds unless we know where they are. With this ephemeris of newly-discovered planets, Henry Seltzer has opened that doorway for us all. He has also shared the results of his own profound research out there beyond the Neptunian frontier. For any astrologer on the cutting edge of our field, this volume is a mission-critical necessity. -Steven Forrest, author of The Inner Sky

Book The Twilight of Pluto

Download or read book The Twilight of Pluto written by John Michael Greer and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2022-02-01 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: • Explains in detail how the demotion or proved nonexistence of a planet marks the beginning of a roughly 30-year period in which that planet’s influence wanes • Explores Pluto’s arc of influence on individual and collective life in depth, from its discovery in 1930 to the end of its influence in 2036 • Offers examples from other demoted planets, such as Ceres, whose fifty-year reign as a planet corresponds very closely to the Romantic Era of history Recent research in astrology has shown that the discovery of a new planet correlates with the emergence of a new set of influences in individual and collective life. As John Michael Greer reveals, the opposite is also true: the demotion of a planet correlates with the decline of a set of influences into the background. Exploring the waxing and waning of planetary influences in astrology, Greer explains in detail how the demotion or proved nonexistence of a planet marks the beginning of a roughly 30-year period in which that planet’s influence fades out. He examines several examples of planet demotion, including Ceres, whose influence began to take shape some 30 years before its discovery in 1801 and gradually faded over the three decades following its demotion in the 1850s. Examining Pluto’s astrological influence in depth, from the beginning of the search for “Planet X” in 1900 to the end of its influence in 2036, the author shows how during the Plutonian era the concept of cosmos--from the ancient Greek meaning “that which is beautifully ordered”--was in eclipse. Pluto’s influence led to the rejection of unity, beauty, and order, exemplified through the splitting of the atom by physicists, the splitting of the individual into conscious and subconscious halves by psychoanalysts, and the splitting of the world into warring camps by politicians. Offering an essential guide not only to the astrology of the future but also to the twilight of the Plutonian era, Greer shows how as Pluto’s influence fades out in the years ahead, a great many disruptive phenomena of the recent past will fade with it.

Book The Return of Planet Sedna

Download or read book The Return of Planet Sedna written by Jennifer T. Gehl and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2019-05-21 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Reveals how the return of the planet Sedna after 11,000 years offers an opportunity for healing ourselves and our planet • Explores how the Inuit legend of the sea woman Sedna offers clues about the message of Sedna’s return, including a warning about the sustainability of our planet • Explains how Kundalini energy courses through planets and people alike and how planetary transits activate a form of cosmic Kundalini energy, with Sedna’s planetary return marking a major stage in this awakening process • Details how Sedna’s energies can be harnessed for healing ourselves and our planet, including how Earth’s ley lines are mirrored within the body’s meridians Named after a mythological Inuit sea woman, the planet Sedna was first discovered in 2003. Its return to our solar system after 11,000 years of orbit has been tied to the huge tsunami that struck Indonesia, Thailand, and India in 2004 as well as to the increased occurrence of other marine and weather events over the last decade. And just as it is affecting the waters of our planet, Sedna’s energies are also affecting each of us as individuals. Exploring the impact that planetary bodies have on Earth and on humans, Jennifer Gehl reveals how Sedna’s energies can be worked with for healing ourselves, others, and the planet. She explains how the naming of this planet after the archetypal figure of Sedna--and her myths--provides major clues to the message that Sedna’s return is sending: a clear warning about the sustainability of the planet and the oceans, the source of all life, and an invitation to awaken to the parts of ourselves that have been ignored, abandoned, and cast out into the cold, just as Sedna was when she was drown in the Arctic Ocean. The author examines the astrological chart for Sedna’s discovery, providing an in-depth look at how certain aspects, particularly the quincunx, support the legend of Sedna and its impact on human health. She looks at how Kundalini energy courses through planets and people alike and how planetary transits activate a form of cosmic Kundalini energy, with Sedna’s return marking a major stage in this awakening process. She reveals how Earth’s ley lines are mirrored within the body’s meridians and offer a way to tune ourselves to the cosmic frequencies that Sedna brings. Examining the story of Sedna mythologically and astrologically, Gehl explains how Sedna’s last appearance 11,000 years ago occurred at the end of the Ice Age when waters disrupted and divided our world. Her return, rather than being a harbinger of disaster, is one of the way-shower and shaman. Symbolically, she lights the path for us to ignite our own immortality by surrendering to the inner path, revealing patterns and pathways for infinite healing potential, a new model of sustainability for the health of our planet, and a way to actively participate in our soul’s evolution.

How does astrology relate to ancient astronomy? Can ancient sites be dated astronomically?) By revealing the astronomical significance of some of the world's most famous ancient landmarks and enduring myths and by showing how different themes and concepts are connected, Ancient Astronomy: An Encyclopedia of Cosmologies and Myth brings a unique authoritative perspective to an area too often left to speculation and sensationalism.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Without a doubt this is the most complete and well-researched book on Transpluto (Planet X) ever written. Valerie Vaughan presents her case for the existence of Planet X and goes further by offering an interpretation of its astrological influence and meaning. She argues that Transpluto should be named Persephone because its influence is feminine. She begins the book with descriptions of the circumstances of the discoveries of Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Chiron, all named for male deities and all symbolizing masculine functions. Included also is a 112-year ephemeris for Persephone/Transpluto.

Download or read book Out of the Darkness written by Clyde W. Tombaugh and published by Stackpole Books. This book was released on 2017-09-15 with total page 222 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An adventure in scientific discovery Pluto, the farthermost planet in the solar system, some 3,673 million mites from the Sun, was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh at the Lowell Observatory in 1930. The fiftieth anniversary of Pluto's discovery will be celebrated in 1980 and OUT OF THE DARKNESS: THE PLANET PLUTO tells the exciting scientific story of the twenty-five year search for a planet X beyond Neptune, and its discovery-the only planet found in the twentieth century. The planets Mercury, Venus. Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn were all known since antiquity. Then Sir William Herschel discovered Uranus in 1781, and 65 years later, in 1846, Johann Calle and Urbain le Verner discovered Neptune. Variations in orbital perturbations of the planets and theoretical astronomy were responsible for predicting and discovering the three outermost planets (Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) and so Pluto's story is also, to some extent, the story of its planetary neighbors. What kind of world is Pluto? Much is still a mystery (its exact size, for instance), but there are some facts. It takes 247.7 years for Pluto to revolve around the sun. From Pluto's surface, the Sun appears as a star-like point; giving only on-one-hundredth the light Earth receives, although it is still brighter than a full Moon. There is strong evidence to suggest that Pluto is an escaped satellite of Neptune, a sister moon of Triton that wandered off to become the farthermost planet revolving around the Sun. And the recent discovery of Pluto’s moon, Charon, and the speculation on a tenth planet beyond Pluto add to the mystery that still prevails 50 years after coauthor Clyde Tombaugh exclaimed “That’s it!” when he saw the change of position of a faint object on the photographic plates after examining millions of star images. That evening, the only man alive to discover a planet, went to the movies and saw Gary Cooper in The Virginian. The night sky was cloudy when he came out of the theatre, but his mind’s eye still saw the faint image of Pluto.
