Book The Art Science of Feng Shui

Download or read book The Art Science of Feng Shui written by Henry B. Lin and published by Llewellyn Publications. This book was released on 2000 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the West, feng shui (literally meaning "wind" and "water") usually means doing things like arranging furniture or hanging mirrors for good fortune. But it is much more than that. A feng shui practitioner actually helps you to shape your fate. In The Art & Science of Feng Shui, Author Henry B. Lin, a native of China, goes far beyond the usual simplistic interpretations of feng shui to reveal the inner history and secrets of this powerful system of magick-through-design. You'll learn the important principles of this science including the effects of Qi energy, wind, water, mountains, and direction may have on a building. You'll also learn about the consequences of having different land sites for the same building. Advice is given for businesses as well as homes. There should be no window or door behind the seat of the CEO. There should be a potted plant on his or her desk, too. The financial departments of a company should be located on the right side of the building but the marketing and personnel departments should be located on the left. Also covered is the role that color plays in feng shui. Green and black are good colors for furniture businesses, while red and pink are good for restaurants or bakerys. The reasons for this are explained in the book. Even the importance of burial places and direction is considered. And while it may not have an effect on the one making use of the burial site, if the person is buried the wrong way it could have terrible consequences for generations to come. Even astrology has an effect on feng shui. The birthday of an owner may affect the energy flow in a home, thereby requiring a different set-up than a home owned by a person born on a different date. All of this and more is revealed in this book. To really learn feng shui in depth, this is the book you need.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'Basics of Feng Shui: The Art and Science of Sensing the Energies' (Scholarly Articles, Vol. 11)-2017 Revised, Updated and Reformatted Edition-is an introduction into a perennial science that originated from the ancient Chinese practice of arrangement of space which is claimed to achieve harmony with the environment. There is scientific evidence now that Feng Shui is effective and not just a belief system, as astrology is not a belief system. Feng Shui is a science of the bioenergy and perhaps the oldest distillation of this holistic knowledge. While Feng Shui is practiced as a business in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, for the construction of houses and offices, it has to be seen that this is only the pragmatic branch of a larger body of science that really deals with all living and how human beings relate to the greater realms of plants, animals, water, rivers, mountains, and generally to the cosmos. While systems theory now reveals our total interconnectedness, the Chinese knew this more than five thousand years ago, and Feng Shui is one of many manifestations of this age-old holistic knowledge about the connective patterns between humanity and the whole of the cosmos. The illustrated book comes with a Glossary and a complete Bibliography.

Book Taoist Feng Shui

Download or read book Taoist Feng Shui written by Susan Levitt and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 1999-12-01 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: • The first book to explain how feng shui developed from the Taoist systems of astrology, yin and yang, and the five elements. • Provides a background on Taoist philosophy to help readers better understand the principles of feng shui and how to use them properly. • Helps readers improve home, business, garden, property, neighborhoods, and much more. The Chinese art of feng shui has become extremely popular in the West, but too often advice on the subject consists of overly simplistic instructions for rearranging one's house without any explanation of the profound philosophical system behind these changes. The ancient Taoists developed feng shui from their understanding of the subtle interplay of energies that make up the universe, and no true mastery of feng shui is possible without a knowledge of Taoism. Taoist Feng Shui provides step-by-step guidelines for improving your home, business, garden, property, and neighborhood using this ancient system of knowledge. In Taoist Feng Shui, Susan Levitt traces the history of feng shui and shows how it is grounded in knowledge of yin and yang and the five Taoist elements of fire, earth, metal, water, and wood, as well as many other principles essential to Taoism. Once a background in Taoism is established, readers can better understand the philosophy behind concepts such as choosing the best colors for each room of the home, room-by-room furniture placement, yin and yang balance, correct lighting, outdoor landscaping, the function of hallways and entrances, and the proper use of mirrors, crystals, fountains, and other feng shui tools. With in-depth examples from the author's private feng shui practice, Taoist Feng Shui can help all readers transform their personal environments to create peace, harmony, health, wealth, and good fortune.

Book Feng Shui Made Easy Revised Edition

Download or read book Feng Shui Made Easy Revised Edition written by William Spear and published by National Geographic Books. This book was released on 2010-11-16 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first edition, released in 1995, was lauded by seasoned practitioners and beginners alike. And no wonder. While most of the early English-language books on feng shui were dauntingly mystical or relied on complex calculations or culturally specific design practices, Feng Shui Made Easy took a more holistic approach, clearly explaining the fundamentals while guiding readers on an inner journey of understanding. Thoughtfully written and beautifully illustrated, the book is structured around an “architecture of consciousness” that is really the inner landscape. The book explores each “house” of the bagua—the chart representing one’s journey through life; relationships with parents, loved ones, and community; creativity; spirituality; and connectedness to the source of life—and the symbolism of the corresponding I Ching trigram. Feng Shui Made Easy helps readers discover the nature of these connections, as well as learn what obstructions must be removed to change fixed patterns of behavior and restore balance, harmony, and inner peace—a process that, when combined with external adjustments, results in increased success and lasting change in all areas of life. This revised edition expands on the author’s intuitive approach with new sections on health, children’s environments, and ecological concerns and sustainable practices. The author also corrects misconceptions about feng shui and uses fascinating case studies to share valuable insights he gained from interactions with his clients and readers.
