Download or read book The Wheel of Ideals written by David Bishop and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2006-08-01 with total page 474 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Wheel of Ideals shows three families of ideals, the heroic, civic and altruistic, that sometimes work together and sometimes conflict. Every ideal has its true believers, and unbelievers: some people believe in it strongly, others less strongly, and others not at all--or so they claim. As ideals divide, people also divide. We can't all get along, perfectly, all the time, even with ourselves. Why not? Do we need conflict to make progress? Is perfect peace too peaceful? As ideals can be ignored or betrayed, they can also be carried too far, into decadence: dionysian overheating and the apollonian deep freeze. If you carried an ideal too far, how would you come to realize your mistake? How would you feel the gravity, the balancing pull, of the ideal calling you home? Without failure, without going too far, what is lost? What is the good of all these ideals, and these forms of decadence? The Wheel of Ideals suggests that we will go on asking these questions.

Save time and start with best practices Creating a great artwork with artificial intelligence takes time. The book provides best practices and tested prompts to get started quickly. What is a prompt? A prompt is a loosely defined input, like a phrase or instruction that tells A.I. what to do. The art of creating prompts is just like the art of talking to people: if you’re skilled in this art you’ll get fantastic results! More creative AI resources: What’s new in this book: besides lots of new prompt tips, each prompt in this book is available online on Livebook, a new resource where you can keep and share your prompts, play, experiment, make articles, posts, illustrations, books, websites, and more. Livebook helps you creating content based on just your ideas (no special skills necessary), and provides a content management platform for generative AI, with lots of easy-to-use generative AI tools built-in: the visual Prompt Maker, Comics Maker, Greeting Card Maker, Story makers, and tons of templates as part of the Prompt Mania prompt garden. Ta-Da! Meet the Prompt Maker: one of the new tools included in Livebook simplifies prompt engineering, shortening the path from your ideas to content: the tool will automatically make awesome visual and text prompts for you, saving you typing and time from a single idea. Prompts made by Livebook Prompt Maker fit any transformer, and significantly improve the output quality for Google, OpenAI, Midjourney, and other models. Also in the book: multi-modal prompts - for video, images, text and more! While the first Art of Prompts book focused purely on imaging and art, I decided to include more tips in this book that also cover text and videos. So, in addition to vision and images, in this book you’ll find entirely new comics, text and conversation sections, including Google tools and new models like multi-modal Gemini, that explains the art of getting what you want from machines and artificial intelligence. This book is to make anyone productive with AI, you don’t need to be a data scientist to use methods and tools I share here. I recommend checking books in this series for the background of many methods explained here. Livebook for Business brings a comprehensive generative AI solution for businesses, teams and organizations. For example, at the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Livebook powers AI Coaching that teams and coaches as part of long-term Team USA readiness program for LA Olympics 2028! It is the first ever content management system (CMS) designed from the ground up to work with generative AI. Livebook generative AI kiosk had been installed at the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley, next to the first computers and processors, entertaining visitors with generative stories. Hope you enjoy this book, learn, and have fun!

Download or read book The 1912 Stockholm Olympics written by Leif Yttergren and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2012-11-19 with total page 293 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: King Gustaf V of Sweden inaugurated the Fifth Olympiad at the Olympic Stadium in Stockholm on July 6, 1912. In the following weeks, 2,380 competitors from 27 nations representing six continents participated in well-organized competitions in perfect weather conditions. The largest Olympics yet at the time, the Stockholm Games have thus gone down in history as the Sunshine Olympics, or "the Swedish Masterpiece." Since that achievement, and despite numerous attempts by other Swedish cities, Sweden has not yet managed to host the Olympic Games again. This work examines the 1912 Stockholm Olympics from a variety of perspectives, exploring the preparations, organization, competitions, participants, and spectators, as well as the continuing significance of the 1912 Games to Sweden and to the future of the Olympic movement.
