Book A World Within Your Eyes Coloring Book

Download or read book A World Within Your Eyes Coloring Book written by 'Trick Slattery and published by Tricksplace. This book was released on 2016-12-24 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Each of these patterned EYE coloring pages represents a memory, feeling, story, or reflection within a single eye. The eyes are often seen as windows to our innermost psyche. They let in light rays that creates the shapes and colors that we see all around us, and at the same time their color and glossy nature often creates beautiful reflections. How you interpret the feelings that the images in these eyes conjure up will drive how you choose to color (or colour) them. Let your intuitive, creative energy flow through your hands as you color these eyes. Some of these eyes are more complex with more nooks to fill, others less. The first few pages shows a thumbnail sized image of the illustrations you will be able to color throughout the book. (32 different eyes to color in total). After the thumbnails are the 32 eyes, full page, single sided. Rotate the book to view these landscape, which allows them to fit nicely on an 8.5 x 11 page. As a bonus, after the 32 full sized coloring pages, each of the images have been shrunken to half page images, two eyes to a single sided page. These smaller versions can be cut out, framed, or fold the page in half to carry two with you. Use your fine tipped pencils or media for these as the nooks will be smaller.

  • Author : Olga Gutierrez de la Roza

Download or read book An Eye for Color written by Olga Gutierrez de la Roza and published by Harper Collins. This book was released on 2007-09-11 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Developed by the Design Leader for Global Retail Hair at Procter & Gamble, An Eye for Color teaches readers how to develop their color sense. The book presents a unique, easy-to-follow system that the author developed to create effective color patterns, which differentiates it from the standard index-style books on the market that provide color combinations without placing those combinations in context. An Eye for Color shows how to build your own color index by "dissecting" a gorgeous selection of works used by master painters, graphic designers, fashion and furniture designers and craftsmen—all selected for their exceptional use of color. In addition, the book's compact design and irresistibly chunky format will make it useful and attractive to designers, artists, students, professionals, or anyone trying to find attractive color combinations. An Eye for Color is organized into chapters by color. In every spread, the author first presents the work of a designer or painter. Second, she breaks down the color palette of the work, providing color squares on the page in both RGB and CMYK configurations. Text accompanying each chosen image contains information on the artist's inspiration for his use of color and interprets it. The text also describes the technical, emotional and artistic qualities of the work. The third step is for the reader to replicate the color swatches with Pantone chips or a Photoshop print out and place them onto a rolodex card which would then become the basis for their own inspiration file. Perforated sheets at the beginning of each chapter will enable readers to immediately start building their rolodexes based on the examples shown in the book.

Book The Divine Coloring Book

Download or read book The Divine Coloring Book written by Christine Joy Amagan Ferrer and published by Bookbaby. This book was released on 2021-01-27 with total page 100 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Divine is a multicultural 100-page coloring book for people of all ages (especially the child in all of us) inspired by folklore and spirituality from the Philippines (Diwatas), Haiti (Lwas of Vodou) and Brazil (Orixás of Candomble and deities of the Indigenous Brazilian Tupi Tribe). Thirteen divinities from each culture are represented, along with the folklore and symbolism associated with each of the divinities. Included throughout the book are inspirational quotes, mindfulness activities for children, and poetry featuring Eniafe Isis of All Her Words, Aimee Amparo, and Haitian songs by Daniel "Brav" Brevil. 40 full-page, 8.5x11 illustrations. Artists include: Andre Hora, Gabrielle Tesfaye, Fermina Caragay Armstrong, Salima Silagon Saway, Grace Bio, Rahana Dariah, Zachary "Bodinho" Present, Stephen Hamilton, Cece Carpio, Nikila Badua/MamaWisdom1, Wisthon Thime, Dee Jae Pa'este, Ubi Maya, Mitzi Ulloa, Rodney Sanon and Laylie Frazier. While many of us grew up with mythologies about Greek and Roman gods, as well as stories like Cinderella, Little Mermaid and Robin Hood, few of us have been exposed to the stories included in The Divine--stories that have been passed down from generation to generation through traditional dance, music, and oral storytelling. The Divine draws a connection between the cultures and beliefs of these diasporas, in hopes of giving them the attention they deserve. From the Americas to Africa to the islands, let's continue to carry and pass down the wisdom that lies in these stories. This book is something meant to grow with and meet the reader where they are. Read and color for yourself, or do it with a little one. Mindfulness activities are meant for children and adults to do together. The poetry, quotes and songs are meant for older youth and adults. And the folklore/symbolism is meant for older youth and grown-ups to read with little ones. Every people, every culture has its own way of honoring the sacred and the spiritual. When we apply the wisdom of these stories to our everyday lives, we discover a deeper relationship to the world around us. Before our lives began, before we believed, the Divine has been both within us and outside of us.

Book The Color of a Flea s Eye

Download or read book The Color of a Flea s Eye written by Joshua Chuang and published by Cahiers D'Art. This book was released on 2020 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Taryn Simon?s 'The Color of a Flea?s Eye' presents a history of the New York Public Library?s Picture Collection?a legendary trove of more than one million prints, photographs, postcards, posters and images from disused books and periodicals. Since its inception in 1915, the Picture Collection has been a vital resource for writers, historians, artists, filmmakers, fashion designers and advertising agencies.0In her work 'The Picture Collection' (2012-20), Simon (born 1975) highlighted the impulse to organize visual information, and pointed to the invisible hands behind seemingly neutral systems of image gathering. Each of Simon?s photographs is made up of an array of images selected from a given subject folder, such as Chiaroscuro, Handshaking, Haircombing, Express Highways, Financial Panics, Israel, and Beards and Mustaches. In artfully overlapped compositions, only slices of the individual images are visible, each fragment suggesting its whole. Simon sees this extensive archive of images as the precursor to internet search engines. Such an unlikely futurity in the past is at the core of the Picture Collection. The digital is foreshadowed in the analogue, at the same time that history?its classifications, its contents?seems the stuff of projection.
