Book excerpt: The Armageddon Protocol With the end of the Cold War, the 21st Century ushered in a new enemy, one that was dedicated to the destruction of the United States of America and most of the Western world. They were eager to use violence on a massive and vicious scale to accomplish it. These were the members of Islamofascism. The country was to face an enemy that had no homeland and espoused an interpretation of their religion that was extremely violent. The Armageddon Protocol was created to counteract this new threat. Signed by the President in 2002, the Protocol was to be triggered by an attack on America or Israel with a weapon of mass destruction by an Islamic source. It would result with the destruction by thermonuclear weapons on all the holy sites of Islam, with particular interest in Mecca and Madina, as well as any other target of opportunity especially the Iranian nuclear capacity. This would make the holy sites radioactive for a thousand years. The Protocol was the 21st Century's version of the Cold War's Mutual Assured Destruction, the MAD concept. Also in 2002 the elements of the Protocol were provided to all of the terrorist camps and nations throughout the world so that they would not be ignorant of it. There had been no such attacks on America since the establishment of the Protocol. With the election of a new left-leaning President in 2008, who was determined to negotiate with the terrorists at any cost, the Iranian government translated his attitude as weakness. Iran then became determined to use the "Seven Sisters of the Prophet," seven suitcase-sized nuclear weapons originally produced by Russia and sold to Iran. The Iranians intended to infiltrate them into both the United States and Israel. Should even one of these weapon be detonated, it would trigger execution of the Protocol. Its very existence still had not yet made known to the new President. This could result in causing large-scale devastation in the Middle East and perhaps a worldwide conflagration, but could also possibly be an eventual universal blessing. Lieutenant General Henry H. Henderson, who had been appointed by the previous president as Director of the National Security Agency becomes aware of the "Seven Sisters" plot and carefully tries to unlock and defeat it. He is accompanied in this endeavor by Jack and Rose Deiter, his twin sons Butch and Harry and Harry's fiancée Charlie Waggner who travel worldwide in search of the "Sisters."

It is the first, desperate days of the Human-Covenant War, and the United Nations Space Command has enacted “the Cole Protocol” to safeguard Earth and its inner colonies from discovery by its merciless alien foe. Many are called upon to rid the galaxy of lingering navigation data that could potentially reveal the location of Earth and ensure the destruction of humanity. Among those tasked with eliminating any trace of such dangerous information is Navy Lieutenant Jacob Keyes—now saddled with a top-secret mission by the Office of Naval Intelligence…one that will take him to a corner of the galaxy where nothing is as it seems. Out beyond the Outer Colonies lies the planet Hesiod, a gas giant surrounded by a vast asteroid belt. As the Covenant continues to glass the human-occupied planets near Hesiod, many of the survivors, aided by a stronghold of human insurrectionists, are fleeing to the asteroids for refuge. They have transformed the tumbling satellites into a tenuous yet ingenious settlement known as the Rubble—and have come face-to-face with a Covenant settlement of Kig-Yar…yet somehow survived. News of this unlikely treaty has spread to the warring factions. Luckily for the UNSC, this uneasy alliance is in the path of the Spartan Gray Team, a three-person renegade squad whose simple task is to wreak havoc from behind enemy lines in any way they see fit. But the Prophets have also sent their very best—an ambitious and ruthless Elite whose quest for nobility and rank is matched only by his brutality…

Humanity is Being Held Prisoner Omnius knows what people will do before they do it. He predicts citizens' behavior, and some suspect, he even makes those predictions come true. For those who wish to be free of his influence, Avilon's lowermost city, the crime-ridden, shadow-filled Null Zone is the only option, but it is becoming increasingly apparent that not even the Nulls are free, and there is a more sinister reason behind The Choosing than the one Omnius gave. As Omnius's predictions begin to come true, Ethan Ortane realizes he could lose the one thing that matters most to him in the universe--his family. There is a Rebellion Stirring Far from Avilon, the Sythians are hiding out in the neighboring Getties Cluster. Out there they discover something that wasn't supposed to exist: a group of human rebels that escaped from Avilon. Their leader, Therius, seems to raise more questions than he answers, but he has a plan to defeat Omnius that just might work. And the End is Drawing Near... As Therius's plan unfolds, people realize the terrible truth: he can't win by conventional means, and he knows it. The alternative is called the Armageddon Protocol, but it could mean the end of everything, not just Omnius. . . .

Sergeant Hector Ramos raises the flag of freedom in Taiwan while fighting his own personal demons, and in Seattle Dan’s daughter, Nan Lenson, fights to save the world from a dangerous new epidemic. Book The Doomsday Machine

Download or read book The Doomsday Machine written by Daniel Ellsberg and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2017-12-05 with total page 433 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Shortlisted for the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction Finalist for The California Book Award in Nonfiction The San Francisco Chronicle's Best of the Year List Foreign Affairs Best Books of the Year In These Times “Best Books of the Year" Huffington Post's Ten Excellent December Books List LitHub's “Five Books Making News This Week” From the legendary whistle-blower who revealed the Pentagon Papers, an eyewitness exposé of the dangers of America's Top Secret, seventy-year-long nuclear policy that continues to this day. Here, for the first time, former high-level defense analyst Daniel Ellsberg reveals his shocking firsthand account of America's nuclear program in the 1960s. From the remotest air bases in the Pacific Command, where he discovered that the authority to initiate use of nuclear weapons was widely delegated, to the secret plans for general nuclear war under Eisenhower, which, if executed, would cause the near-extinction of humanity, Ellsberg shows that the legacy of this most dangerous arms buildup in the history of civilization--and its proposed renewal under the Trump administration--threatens our very survival. No other insider with high-level access has written so candidly of the nuclear strategy of the late Eisenhower and early Kennedy years, and nothing has fundamentally changed since that era. Framed as a memoir--a chronicle of madness in which Ellsberg acknowledges participating--this gripping exposé reads like a thriller and offers feasible steps we can take to dismantle the existing "doomsday machine" and avoid nuclear catastrophe, returning Ellsberg to his role as whistle-blower. The Doomsday Machine is thus a real-life Dr. Strangelove story and an ultimately hopeful--and powerfully important--book about not just our country, but the future of the world.

Book The Illuminati

Download or read book The Illuminati written by Adam Weishaupt and published by Magus Books. This book was released on with total page 259 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: No secret society is more controversial than the Illuminati, yet almost nothing of the truth of this mysterious ancient Order is available in the public record. Propaganda, disinformation, paranoia and downright fantasy are rife. Some have even described the Illuminati as pan-dimensional, shape-shifting Reptilians from another world! The Illuminati have become the peg upon which anyone can hang their favorite and most outlandish conspiracy theories. They are the "men behind the curtain", the ultimate puppetmasters, fascists, communists, bankers, Jews, monarchists, anti-monarchists, lizards... They support "big" government, high taxes and the sinister New World Order, based on a single global currency. They want to build death camps and reduce the world's population to one billion souls. So much for the penny-dreadful nonsense churned out by the simple minded pied pipers of Conspiracy World. The truth of the real Illuminati is enormously more fascinating, and concerns the Holy Grail itself.
