Book The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ

Download or read book The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ written by Levi Dowling and published by Courier Corporation. This book was released on 2012-03-06 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This visionary text professes to tell the complete story of Jesus' life, including the "lost" years, during which he traveled and studied in Tibet, Egypt, India, Persia, and Greece. First published in 1908, this mystical work is the cornerstone of a Christian denomination, the Aquarian Christine Church Universal, and it offers intriguing, controversial assertions about Christ's message. Jesus was conceived by a human father, author Levi Dowling states, and by effort and prayer rendered himself a fit vessel for "the Christ" — the model for human existence and ultimate salvation. Dowling, who devoted forty years of preparation to the task of transcribing this volume's contents from original Akashic records, further asserts the reality of reincarnation and its culmination in the perfection of the human soul. Tracing Jesus' life from his birth in Bethlehem to his ascension from the Mount of Olives, Dowling offers complete details concerning the savior's years among monks, wise men, and seers throughout the Orient. Readers with an interest in occult lore and the history of religion will find this remarkable volume a source of endless fascination.

Book The Greatest Lie Ever Told

Download or read book The Greatest Lie Ever Told written by W. H. Uffington and published by . This book was released on 2011 with total page 516 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Greatest Lie Ever Told takes the reader on a historical voyage, using wit and logic to reveal the evidence of research that no one wanted you to see. The author reveals that Egypt had a monotheistic religion, not one with a pantheon of gods, gives the evidence to explain the Exodus, traces the Old and New Testaments back to Egypt, explains why most of the characters in the Old Testament are fictitious, shows that the original Jews did not migrate to a 'Promised Land, ' they were always there. Jews, Christians and Muslims have been grossly mislead about their religions. All three were perverted from their shared origins, by politics, avarice and greed. The greatest of these perversions is Christianity. Academics knew the truth but dared not publish it. Church leaders knew the truth about Jesus but lied to hide it. They know that Christianity is one of many monotheistic religions based on an identical theme and they carried out a ruthless and bloodthirsty campaign which has failed to eradicate the truth. The author proves his allegations, presents truth not speculation and shows where the future path of the Church must lie. The Greatest Lie Ever Told isn't some vague conjecture, it is a fact.

Book The Christ Myth

Download or read book The Christ Myth written by Elizabeth E. Evans and published by Book Tree. This book was released on 2000 with total page 152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Was the entire story of Jesus nothing more than thatjust a story? Evans presents an interesting argument. According to her, many things accepted as true regarding the story of Jesus may in fact not be true. This book refutes aspects of Christ based on factual evidence combined with strong opinions of the author that may or may not be proven. Many have been conditioned to accept Jesus in certain ways without the use of reason. Evans provides us with a form of rational thinking that has been left out of our religious conditioning process. Those who are open enough to read it will find it challenging and rewarding.

Book excerpt: Many Christians want to know more about the historical man called Jesus of Nazareth and the circumstances surrounding his life, mission, and death. They want to know about his relationships, his family members, the disciples who followed him, and the politics of his day—with this book giving you that information. The Christian Bible is a well crafted theological essay that is based on ancient events that took place 2,000 years ago in the Middle East. Face of Jesus gives the reader hidden insight into the earthly life of Jesus of Nazareth prior to the crucifixion based upon modern-day research of first- and second-century historical documentation not found in the Bible. Dean R. Eyerly gives a multitude of answers to many historical questions concerning the earthly man named Jesus. Many of these issues have gone unnoticed in modern society, and Eyerly has compiled discussions to such topics including: • His mother Mary was born into royalty • His father Joseph was allied with Herod the Great • He had four brothers and three sisters • John the Baptist was his cousin • Joseph of Arimathea was his uncle • Mary Magdalene was present at the wedding feast at Cana and went on to Capernaum with Jesus. There is much more substance to the man named Jesus of Nazareth than is given in the New Testament. Jesus was held in high esteem even by those who were not his followers. Eyerly seeks to educate the reader about the life and times of Jesus during the turbulent first centuries of Christianity and present Jesus as he actually was. Dean R. Eyerly is also the author for Between Heaven and Hell through Tate Publishing, and he lives in Toledo, Ohio.

Book The Gospel of Nicodemus Or the Acts of Pilate

Download or read book The Gospel of Nicodemus Or the Acts of Pilate written by Nicodemus and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2015-08-28 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although this Gospel is, by some among the learned, supposed to have been really written by Nicodemus, who became a disciple of Jesus Christ, and conversed with him; others conjecture that it was a forgery towards the close of the third century by some zealous believer, who observing that there had been appeals made by the Christians of the former age, to the Acts of Pilate, but that such Acts could not be produced, imagined it would be of service to Christianity to fabricate and publish this Gospel; as it would both confirm the Christians under persecution, and convince the Heathens of the truth of the Christian religion. The Rev. Jeremiah Jones says, that such pious frauds were very common among Christians even in the first three centuries; and that a forgery of this nature, with the view above mentioned, seems natural and probable. The same author, in noticing that Eusebius, in his Ecclesiastical history, charges the Pagans with having forged and published a book, called "The Acts of Pilate," takes occasion to observe, that the internal evidence of this Gospel shows it was not the work of any Heathen; but that if in the latter end of the third century we find it in use among Christians (as it was then certainly in some churches) and about the same time find a forgery of the Heathens under the same title, it seems exceedingly probable that some Christians, at that time, should publish such a piece as this, in order partly to confront the spurious one of the Pagans, and partly to support those appeals which had been made by former Christians to the Acts of Pilate; and Mr. Jones says, he thinks so more particularly as we have innumerable instances of forgeries by the faithful in the primitive ages, grounded on less plausible reasons. Whether it be canonical or not, it is of very great antiquity, and is appealed to by several of the ancient Christians.
