Book The Parables to the Living and the Dead

Download or read book The Parables to the Living and the Dead written by George Sloan and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2019-08-13 with total page 163 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “The Parable code” is spiritual to the living and the dead. Those “Indwelled with the Holy Spirit of God” live in “Forgiveness Peace and Love” with their fellow man and their persecutors just as Jesus was ““double crossed” and “Trumped”” by the High Priests. Jesus assigned cross as your God assigned cross is to bear without “Whining and Sniveling”. Who Killed Homer, by Victor Davis Hanson and John Heath speaks to how Academia was destroyed; also points to how Biblical Fellowship was sold to become the religions of men by men. The elects “Communion” is only with Jesus Christ; not to be replaced by the god Gain, the Profit Lucre or St. Mammon in their quest of Wealth, Power and Fame. “A History of the Jewish People” by H.H. Ben-Sasson, Part III by M. Stern, is about “The Antichrist” John of Gischala Jewish hero of the last four years of “The Apocalypse”, God used the Atheist Issacs Asimov to shanghaies this fool fair and square and guided by the Holy Spirit to this work, words, and reason herein to simplify God’s “WORD” because it has been misused by the predestined dead from the foundation of the World, when God “RESTED”. UPDATED 07/03/19: “The Parables Code” is provided by God to enlighten the elect to salvation and to delude the dead to proceed to their earthly demise on the lake of fire which is forever.

Book Four Views on Divine Providence

Download or read book Four Views on Divine Providence written by Paul Kjoss Helseth and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2011 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Questions about divine providence have preoccupied Christians for generations: Are people elected to salvation? For whom did Jesus die? This book introduces readers to four prevailing views on divine providence, with particular attention to the question of who Jesus died to save (the extent of the atonement) and if or how God determines who will be saved (predestination). But this book does not merely answer readers' questions. Four Views on Divine Providence helps readers think theologically about all the issues involved in exploring this doctrine. The point-counterpoint format reveals the assumptions and considerations that drive equally learned and sincere theologians to sharp disagreement. It unearths the genuinely decisive issues beneath an often superficial debate. Volume contributors are Paul Helseth (God causes every creaturely event that occurs); William Lane Craig (through his 'middle knowledge, ' God controls the course of worldly affairs without predetermining any creatures' free decisions); Ron Highfield (God controls creatures by liberating their decision-making); and Gregory Boyd (human decisions can be free only if God neither determines nor knows what they will be). Introductory and closing essays by Dennis Jowers give relevant background and guide readers toward their own informed beliefs about divine providence.

Book Contra Mundum

Download or read book Contra Mundum written by Adam Weishaupt and published by Magus Books. This book was released on with total page 1207 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "I'm plotting revolution against this lie that the majority has a monopoly of the truth. What are these truths that always bring the majority rallying round? Truths so elderly they are practically senile. And when a truth is as old as that, gentlemen, you can hardly tell it from a lie." – Dr Stockmann (in Henrik Ibsen's play An Enemy of the People) Contra Mundum is a handbook for all those who think there is something fundamentally wrong with the world. The ancient Gnostics claimed that the world was actually created and ruled by the Devil (the Demiurge), hence why everything is so hideous, unfair and horrific. Modern Gnostics (Illuminists) assert that the problem with the world is that it's ruled by the forces of unreason rather than reason, by Mythos rather than Logos, by silly story-based religions rather than mathematics, philosophy and science.

Book Luther Complete

  • Author : Hartmann Grisar
  • Publisher : Library of Alexandria
  • Release : 2020-09-28

Download or read book Luther Complete written by Hartmann Grisar and published by Library of Alexandria. This book was released on 2020-09-28 with total page 3445 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: On July 16, 1505, Martin Luther, then a student at the University of Erfurt, invited his friends and acquaintances to a farewell supper. He wished to see them about him for the last time before his approaching retirement to the cloister. “The bright, cheerful young fellow,” as his later pupil, Mathesius, calls him, was a favourite in his own circle. Those assembled to bid him farewell, amongst whom were also “honest, virtuous maidens and women,” were doubtless somewhat taken aback at their friend’s sudden determination to leave the world; but Luther was outwardly “beyond measure cheerful” and showed himself so light of heart that he played the lute while the wine-cup circled round. On the following morning—it was the feast of St. Alexius, as Luther remembered when an old man—some of his fellow-students accompanied him to the gate of the Augustinian monastery and then, with tears in their eyes, saw the doors close upon him. The Prior, who was already apprised of the matter, greeted the timid new-comer, embraced him, and then, in accordance with the Rule, confided him to the Master of Novices to be initiated into the customs of the community. In the quiet monastic cell and amid the strange new surroundings the student was probably able little by little to master the excitement which, though hidden from outsiders, raged within his breast; for the determination to become a monk had been arrived at under strange, soul-stirring circumstances. He was on his way back to Erfurt, after a visit to his parents’ house, when, near Stotternheim, he was overtaken by a thunderstorm, and as a flash of lightning close beside him threatened him “like a heavenly vision,” he made the sudden vow: “Save me, dear St. Anne, and I will become a monk.” He appears also at that very time to have been reduced to a state of great grief and alarm by the sudden death of a dear comrade, also a student, who had been stabbed, either in a quarrel or in a duel. Thus the thoughts which had perhaps for long been attracting his serious temperament towards the cloister ripened with overwhelming rapidity. Could we but take a much later assertion of his as correct, the reason of his resolve was to be found in a certain vexation with himself: because he “despaired” of himself, he once says, therefore did he retire into the monastery.
