Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the book for now and the future. Revelation 5:7 states, "And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne." This book came out of the hands of God the Father into the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ. He gave it to the angel, then St. John took the book from the angel's hand. I saw the angel come down from heaven with a scroll, I took the book from his hand, and now I am putting this book into your loving hands (Rev. 10:7). I have seen the Lord Jesus and He called me to be the little apostle of the end times. First, you will know what John saw; where and what is the bottomless pit, the great famine that is coming. John give you a clue about the period of the rapture. You will know about the antichrist, World War III, the battle of Armageddon, the woman's clothes with the sun and moon, and the crown with twelve stars. You will also know about Wormwood. My commission from Christ is to feed his sheep and his shepherds. This is for the future of the human race. Now the world, the theologians, professors, doctors, all the great men of this world, especially the preachers, men of the ministry, and men of the fivefold, will have something to work with for the furtherance of the gospel which was sent by the Father, the Son, and John to you, loving people, here and around the world (Rev. 10:11). My blessing be upon you all.

Book The Secret Initiation of Jesus at Qumran

Download or read book The Secret Initiation of Jesus at Qumran written by Robert Feather and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2005-07-28 with total page 714 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An examination of the early, mysterious Essene community at Qumran that links it with John the Baptist, Jesus, and the beginnings of Christianity • Offers an eyewitness account of the final burial place of John the Baptist • Makes the case that Christianity grew out of a form of monotheism first formulated by the Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaten • Includes physical and photographic evidence never before published In his earlier book The Mystery of the Copper Scroll of Qumran, Robert Feather analyzed the Dead Sea Scroll engraved on copper that is considered the work of the secretive, devout Jewish sect known as the Essenes, who lived at Qumran around the time of Jesus. To continue his research into the Essene community's way of life and how its beliefs may have influenced the beginnings of Christianity, he met with Father Jozef Milik, one of the scholars who worked on deciphering the Dead Sea Scrolls in the 1950s. Feather learned that during Milik's work somewhere near the Qumran ruins, he had excavated a headless corpse that he believed to be that of John the Baptist. Feather presents persuasive, powerful evidence illustrating the strong link between the Qumran Essenes and New Testament teachings and showing that both John the Baptist and Jesus were intimately involved with this community at Qumran. He further supports the claim that early Christians continued a belief system centered on a form of monotheism first formulated by the Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaten and uniquely espoused by the Essenes at Qumran.

Book The Dead Sea Scrolls

    Book Details:
  • Author : Dr. Peter W. Flint
  • Publisher : Abingdon Press
  • Release : 2013-02-01
  • ISBN : 142677107X
  • Pages : 263 pages

Download or read book The Dead Sea Scrolls written by Dr. Peter W. Flint and published by Abingdon Press. This book was released on 2013-02-01 with total page 263 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1947, a Bedouin shepherd literally stumbled upon a cave near the Dead Sea, a settlement now called Qumran, to the east of Jerusalem. This cave, along with the others located nearby, contained jars holding hundreds of scrolls and fragments of scrolls of texts both biblical and nonbiblical—in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. The biblical scrolls would be the earliest evidence of the Hebrew Scriptures, or Old Testament, by hundreds of years; and the nonbiblical texts would shed dramatic light on one of the least-known periods of Jewish history—the Second Temple period. This find is, quite simply, the most important archaeological event in two thousand years of biblical studies. The scrolls provide information on nearly every aspect of biblical studies, including the Old Testament, text criticism, Second Temple Judaism, the New Testament, and Christian origins. It took more than fifty years for the scrolls to be completely and officially published, and there is no comparable brief, introductory resource. Core Biblical Studies fulfill the need for brief, substantive, yet highly accessible introductions to key subjects and themes in biblical studies. In the shifting tides of biblical interpretation, these books are designed to help students locate relevant meanings in conversation with the text. As a first step toward substantive and subsequent learning, the series draws on the best scholarship in order to provide foundational concepts and contextualized information on a broad scope of issues, methods, perspectives, and trends.
