Of the latter he hopes to secure a more perfect account for subsequent volumes. Having obtained a certain distinction on the turf and in the stud, a degree of interest attaches to them which necessarily leads 'to enquiry as to their true origin, and this desire for information cannot be satisfied if the animals are excluded. In those instances where a pedi gree is inserted of a questionable character, the fact is noted that the reader may be correctly advised.
