When the men complained to their corporals that the breeches were too small or. Too large, and the corporals rapped timidly on the orderly room door, t.n.t. Listened silently until they were done. Then he would say sharply: Make 'em wear 'em. Not my fault they don't fit. Tell 'em to reduce or put on weight. At reveille tomorrow they'll wear breeches.
