When Moses heard the name: 'I AM, ' 1 it spoke volumes to him; he knew that they were in good hands. The Bible says: "And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee..." (Psalms 9:10). As we hallow His name, we are making a demand on the promises and attributes His name denotes; because we belong to Him, we are kept in His name. His name is a strong tower, where the righteous run into it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). The Lord's Prayer-Revisited will also address seven hindrances of each petition (areas where we fall short of the glory of God.) and seven strategies (ways of escape) of each petition. In addition, it will highlight the seven specific types of prayer each petition evokes. Each prayer gives God access into that particular area of our need.
