Studies on pharmacovigilance provide information on potential dangers connected to a certain medication. Even drugs have the potential to cause unpleasant effects, whether intentional or not. The only scenario in which this generalisation does not apply is when a medication is prescribed because the body lacks certain nutrients, such as certain vitamins or minerals. As the investigation of potential negative effects of medications, this forms the core of pharmacovigilance.
