He can solve these issues by sailing to the aid of the fledgling nation of Texas to link up with Sam Houston. Unfortunately Tom's father pressed charges against Houston during the War of 1812. Houston secretly plots revenge. Topping this off, Tom's wife hates his guts. She vows to divorce him. "To hell with her. I'm off for Texas." How will he deal with self-seeking politicians, Comanche on the warpath, and escape the same fate bestowed upon Davy Crockett and James Fannin by the evil Santa Anna? And that's just the problems he faces upon land. What about the war at sea? Montezuma and Santa Elena prowl the sea lanes seeking to sink him and his privateersmen for all the atrocities they've inflicted upon Mexico. Besides, they want all the plunder aboard Captain James flagship. The women he shall meet are most willing. The action is hot. And the fate of a new nation rests upon his shoulders if he fails to stand and deliver at San Jacinto.
