Il volume si presenta suddiviso in varie parti rispettivamente dedicate: all’esame specifico dei nuovi meccanismi istituzionali che governano il complesso fenomeno delle ispezioni e della vigilanza in materia di sicurezza sul lavoro alle linee di sviluppo del nuovo apparato sanzionatorio così come individuato dal d.lgs. n. 81/2008 e successivamente modificato dal d.lgs. 106/2009, con particolare riferimento: al procedimento ispettivo e sanzionatorio, amministrativo e penale, ai limiti di applicabilità dei poteri degli organi di vigilanza (prescrizione, disposizione, diffida), alla lettura dell’apparato punitivo fra contravvenzioni e sanzioni amministrative, alla responsabilità diretta dell’ente, alle condizioni di estinzione agevolata dell’illecito, all’esercizio dei diritti della persona offesa all’analisi dell’apparato sanzionatorio e alla puntuale individuazione di tutte le ipotesi sanzionatorie previste dal nuovo testo unico, anche mediante apposite tabelle che individuano: la fattispecie illecita, la reazione punitiva, le forme di estinzione agevolata dell’illecito Infine viene proposta: la normativa e la prassi amministrativa di principale rilievo, accanto alla modulistica riguardante le fasi principali del procedimento sanzionatorio penale e amministrativo.

Only a limited number of studies have examined the issue from the perspective of the differentiation between core and contingent work. Such an examination is necessary as the increase in contingent work leads to complicated legal questions which vary between European states depending on the type of contingent arrangements that have become most prevalent. This book analyses, using a comparative approach, these different types of contingency from a national and EU perspective touching on the work relationship from a labour as well as a social security point of view. The aim of the book is to identify and analyse those questions adopting an innovative approach and to put forward proposals for safeguarding social cohesion within undertakings and European society.

In between some unexpected events happened: during the administrative elections, held with the general elections in April, the right in Rome claimed many victories; for the first time ever, a woman, Emma Marcegaglia, was elected President of Confindustria; and the Alitalia airline had to be rescued from the brink of economic collapse. For consecutive months, opinion polls gave Berlusconi an unprecedented level of popular support; those polled attributed their approval to either his ‘decisionism’ or to what they viewed as a successful strategy of continual announcements. Others pointed to the executive’s success in ‘governing the fears’ of Italians, which was helped by a change of register in the way the media dealt with issues of security. This volume shows that the politics of vetoes, which characterised the previous center-left government, could not conceal the structural, economic and social problems that still need to be resolved, a situation not helped by the fact that the opposition parties were still unable to develop an effective political strategy by yearend. There is no history of business, history of economy or history of human civilization. These categories simply do not exist as a reflection of scientifically established knowledge of laws. Many researchers, treading the pathway of obstacles derived from false data, simply give up in hopelessness. ''Business is business!'' is the verdict—a multifaceted conclusion and restless justification of why some suffer severe punishment for things that are authorized to others. These phenomena, these elements of our lives, did not arise ''on their own.'' Everything has its history, its consistent tendency and its course of evolution. A key element is the access to local (i.e., indoor residential, workplace, or public building) exposure measurements. Unfortunately, the high cost and complexity of most current air pollutant monitors result in a lack of detailed spatial and temporal resolution. As a result, individuals in vulnerable groups (children, pregnant, elderly, and sick people) have little insight into their personal exposure levels. This becomes significant in cases of hyper-local variations and short-term pollution events such as instant indoor activity (e.g., cooking, smoking, and dust resuspension). Advances in sensor miniaturization have encouraged the development of small, inexpensive devices capable of estimating pollutant concentrations. This new class of sensors presents new possibilities for indoor exposure monitoring. This Special Issue invites research in the areas of the triptych: indoor air pollution monitoring, indoor air modeling, and exposure to indoor air pollution. Topics of interest for the Special Issue include, but are not limited to, the following: low-cost sensors for indoor air monitoring; indoor particulate matter and volatile organic compounds; ozone-terpene chemistry; biological agents indoors; source apportionment; exposure assessment; health effects of indoor air pollutants; occupant perception; climate change impacts on indoor air quality.

Non va assolutamente tralasciata l'importanza dell'utilizzo e del corretto uso dei Dispositivi di Protezione Individuale (DPI). È possibile imparare a riconoscere quelli più adatti alla mansione prevista ed al tipo di lavoro che si va ad affrontare anche grazie alla più idonea formazione ed informazione specifica. Argomento di assoluta rilevanza è la Segnaletica. Un uso corretto ed una costante manutenzione ci permette di saper individuare ed utilizzare i cartelli più idonei alle nostre esigenze: di divieto, di avvertimento, di prescrizione e salvataggio rendono il nostro ambiente di lavoro, il posto più sicuro del mondo.
