Book Uniqueness of the Concept of Witness in Lukan Writings within the Biblical Canon

Download or read book Uniqueness of the Concept of Witness in Lukan Writings within the Biblical Canon written by Ervin Budiselić and published by Langham Publishing. This book was released on 2024-04-30 with total page 269 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In an age of relativism, tolerance and political correctness, the church is called to walk in the footsteps of Christ. As his witnesses, we must reject all forms of coercion and violence while simultaneously refusing to shy away from the authority and conviction that come from carrying his revelation. Dr. Ervin Budiselić examines the concept of “witnessing” in the writings of Luke, contextualizing it within the larger framework of Scripture’s emphasis on revelation and testimony. Like Judaism, Christianity is a religion of revelation, where specific content must be preserved, passed on and proclaimed to others. Dr. Budiselić explores the communal nature of this calling, as well as its pneumatological implications within Luke’s writings. Acknowledging the tendency within the Western church to emphasize moral transformation over physical, he reminds readers that Jesus’s kingdom ministry was accompanied by deeds as well as words. He specifically engages the dangers of normalizing a gospel disconnected from the supernatural or the miraculous, as partnership with the Holy Spirit was central to the calling given to the early church. This book offers a prophetic message for the church today as it seeks to fulfill its calling to faithfully witness to the revelation of Christ.

Download or read book Where does religion end written by Marcelo da Luz and published by Associação Internacional Editares. This book was released on 2017-08-31 with total page 465 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The author's decision to leave religion, after experiencing a profound growth crisis, founded itself in the free action of one, who after walking tenaciously, has extinguished an existential possibility and reached a new realm of understanding about the realities of the consciousness and the universe. The inner freedom encountered to make this kind of decision was the result of a gradual self-confrontation. This author perceived the necessity to dispel the fear associated with questioning his habitual suppositions and to look beyond the limits of the indoctrination he had received. For a long time, while still religious, he named this fearlessness "a quest for wisdom" or "the spirituality of an unsettled heart". Nowadays, in light of the experiences had, he prefers to emphasize the courage to evolve, which requires, five years after the abjuration, the assumption of speaking publicly about the dissidence that was effected. When dissidents of ideologies or institutions start talking or writing about their experiences, it is necessary to observe the kind of motivation and intention implicit in the decision made. The former militant, the former integrant, the former partisan, the former something, in spite of the effort to affirm that they are no longer part of the institution to which they once belonged, may continue to define themselves based on the institution. In this case the person is still a "former" in relation to what they intend to deny. Perhaps, in their eagerness to critically speak out about the reasons underlying their abandonment of a certain idea or organization, they still flaunt the previous condition as a trophy, unfurling the pride of being a "former". The ambiguity in question lies in the fact that the person's point of reference continues to be in the no longer desired way of living or thinking.

Book The Pizzigoni Experimental Method in Sara Bertuzzi s Diaries

Download or read book The Pizzigoni Experimental Method in Sara Bertuzzi s Diaries written by Sandra Chistolini and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2021-09-23 with total page 405 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This study sheds new light on childhood education, and reveals Giuseppina Pizzigoni as a contemporary educator of Maria Montessori. While the former is almost unknown and the latter enjoys worldwide fame, both were protagonists of the profound changes in the Italian school system in the 20th century. Their lives developed in parallel, and both great women loved school, respected children, and believed in the strength of education. Pizzigoni’s disciple Sara Bertuzzi later picked up the baton, and continued the impulse of innovation, freedom, inclusion and sustainability, faithful to the features and fundaments of Pizzigoni’s pedagogy and methodology. She became the only expert in the field of the new school, and her diaries highlight the theory and practice of the experimental method in both kindergarten and preschool.

Book Sulle tracce del cristo risorto

Download or read book Sulle tracce del cristo risorto written by Antonio Persili and published by Edizioni C.P.R.. This book was released on 1998-01-01 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Tivoli,1988.
