Book excerpt: Now in a new edition, this book continues to set the standard for teaching readers how to be effective problem solvers, emphasizing the authors's signature methodologies that have taught over a half million students worldwide. This new edition provides a student-friendly approach that emphasizes the relevance of thermodynamics principles to some of the most critical issues of today and coming decades, including a wealth of integrated coverage of energy and the environment, biomedical/bioengineering, as well as emerging technologies. Visualization skills are developed and basic principles demonstrated through a complete set of animations that have been interwoven throughout.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: International Thermodynamic Tables of the Fluid State - 7 Propylene (Propene) is a compilation of internationally agreed values of the equilibrium thermodynamic properties of propylene. This book is composed of three chapters, and begins with the presentation of experimental result of thermodynamic studies compared with the equations used to generate the tables. The succeeding chapter deals with correlating equations for thermodynamic property determination of propylene. The last chapter provides the tabulations of the propylene's thermodynamic properties and constants. This book will prove useful to physical chemists.

Download or read book Advances in Cryogenic Engineering written by K. D. Timmerhaus and published by Springer. This book was released on 2013-12-20 with total page 510 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 1971 marked the first year since 1956 that the annual Cryogenic Engineering Conference was not held. Instead, the Cryogenic Engineering Conference gave its full support to the XIII International Congress of Refrigeration by working with Commissions I and II of the International Institute of Refrigeration to organize the cryogenic sessions for these two commissions. All of the papers presented at the International Congress of Refrigeration will be published by the IIR as part of the proceedings of that meeting. Even though no Cryogenic Engineering Conference was held in 1971, it became quite evident to the Conference Board that there were sufficient advances in cryogenic engineering to warrant the publication of Volume 17 of the Advances in Cryogenic Engineering. Volume 17 presents the advances in this important field by bringing together in one volume some of the significant papers that have been presented at various technical meetings across the country during the latter half of 1970 and the first part of 1971. In addition, several authoritative review papers have been prepared by invitation of the Cryogenic Engineering Conference Board.
