From the depths of depression, God's Spirit filled me with hope and inspiration to continue this journey called life. Depression is the name that accompanied overwhelming feelings of helplessness and hopelessness I had. I believe that my breakdown was God's way of stopping the insanity in my life and getting me the help I so desperately needed. I didn't realize how mentally sick I had become. In therapy, I went deep to the center of my soul. Through much pain and many tears and many years of hard work, I started cleaning out the ugliness, the pain, and the hatred that I had buried. My psychiatrist, caseworkers, group session members, my children, my friend Mary, and my extended family helped me work my way back to a healthy mental attitude and outlook on life. I feel I am a better listener, more patient, compassionate, and forgiving person. I have truly been blessed. I know that there are many who can relate to my story and life experiences. It is my prayer that my story through my journaling, thoughts and prayers, and poems will be of help to you. God, in all His glory, was with me always! True Kinsley

If you are looking for traditional poetry, then Teardrops on my Pillow is not for you. If you want to maintain a naïve veil to what the less fortunate have to experience throughout their lives, then this book of poetry is not for you. If you want to read poetry that explores the harsh realities that this world has to offer, then you will be interested in what Scott Wood has to say. Bad things happen to good people, and Scott Wood is living testament to that. So if you're feeling like you're all alone and no one understands, this poetry will encourage you and show you that you're not the only one that suffers from heartache.

Book excerpt: My health...failing, my marriage...failing, my mental...failing. I’ve seen it coming like it was in slow motion, yet I still felt powerless to stop any of it. I was making trips to urgent care and the emergency room like they were doctor’s appointments. My marriage was falling apart while I was still trying to cope with the loss of people that were close to me that I just never fully came to terms with. I found myself diagnosed as being in a depression by two doctors, as I didn’t want to accept the diagnosis the first time. I was a witness to my trip into darkness. This book does not focus on the events that brought me to this dark place but more so on the mental frame and emotional state I held when I found myself in the darkness. We like to document our trips in the physical realm with pictures and videos. This collection of poetry will be my attempt to document my journey in the mental and emotional realm—from darkness to new hope. In the end, your darkest place may lead you to your greatest blessings. The message here is to always keep fighting.

This book was released on 2019-08-19 with total page 512 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I, The Lord Jesus, speak to man this day of his being in the end-time of his mortality, of his being at the cross-roads of existence, of his being subject to the tipping of the scales of his freewill. For as the scales are tipped so the destiny is procured. For as the scales are tipped so the freewill of man decides. For as the scales are tipped so the existence in eternity becomes instated with a dwelling place. For the scales of destiny are accurate and refined: verify the weight of sin, verify the presence of Grace. For the scales of destiny do not seesaw in indecision: know the arguments of sin; know the overwhelming bounty of Grace. So man pays the penalty of sin or receives the accolade due Grace, is destined for the depths of darkness or is uplifted to the light: has his freewill demanding respect— from the detailed record; or has his freewill deserving honour— born of righteous faith. I, The Lord Jesus, will greet all those awaiting Me, will turn My back on those unknown and weighted down with sin. The entry in The Lamb’s Book of Life, for each within mortality, is only valid, only remains on offer, only stands open for acceptance: within a timeline shrinking fast, within a timeline prior to My return, within a timeline set for expiry on the use-by day. The timeline as set for man has been determined by God.

Book excerpt: Southern Women is a unique look at life-changing events through the first-person accounts of a teen-ager, a mom and a Greek goddess. Yes, a Greek goddess. The book takes off right away with the teen, who is born to Egg Donor. It is a hard look at an abused child, the abuses are unimaginable acts upon the child and the description of them is hard and graphic. She details her struggles growing up, after being adopted by a loving Mom and the trials and tribulations of staying one or two steps ahead of Egg Donor, who is essentially selling the child to men for their sexual and abusive pleasure. The teen, who has a disability, and Mom also have a hard time finding schools and friends willing to accept her. It is an eye-opening chronicle of the failings and successes. Then, during the aftermath of the April 27th storms we are taken on a side trip visit with the Greek goddess Athena who shares a unique view of the world from Mount Olympus. Obviously, this isnt a true first person experience but it is an entertaining and educational look at religion. Throughout it all there is an additional woven entanglement with political principles and also nationality. To close, although it was not expected to be shared, we are literally driven into the tornadoes that struck North Alabama on April 27, 2011. We experience the storms impact first-hand and the devastation it inflicted on people and property. We stay with this teen and her mother and all the other children together in a friends home because they could not reach their home because of the blocked roads and loss of utilities, including limited supplies of food and fuel. The stories are enthralling and personal. And, chances are, you may relate to the circumstances or know someone who does.

Book Teardrops of Time

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Focusing on one of the most significant poets of the twentieth century, Angkarn Kallayanapong (1926–2012), this book makes a unique contribution to understandings of non-Western literary modernity. Arnika Fuhrmann investigates how the Thai poet adapts Buddhist understandings of time to create a modern Asian aesthetic imaginary. While Angkarn's poetry conjures the image of an early modern Thai cosmopolitanism, it also pioneers a poetics reflective of present-day globalization. The result is an experiment in Buddhist cosmopolitan aesthetic modernity. Teardrops of Time contextualizes the poet's work in the literary history and cultural politics of his time, tracing the transformation of a modern Thai cultural and political imaginary through the political history of the country's authoritarian governance since the late 1950s and the exigencies of an increasingly globalized economy since the 1980s. As Angkarn's work aligns itself with contemporaneous global trends in poetry, the book reads it alongside the work of Paul Celan and Allen Ginsberg.

It matters not what the subject may be or what the feeling happens to be;p when the lines are written, the heart becomes light and free. The things on this earth are so exciting and wonderful that merely writing about the antics of an insect can be an enthralling learning experience. A purging of the mind, heart and soul is exhilarating; and one can feel cleansed, even if only for a little while. ....to explore....to go on never as before....to wander into infinity....what else is there in store? ....we love, we cry, we sing, we praise, we live, we die....yet. life goes on.
