Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you sick and tired of not earning the hourly rate that you know you deserve? One of the biggest challenges that a CPA, Enrolled Agent, or tax attorney faces is that they get stuck doing client work that has a lower billable value than they would like. You can't bill out at $500 per hour when you're doing $75 per hour tasks. If you want to drastically increase your average billable rate, and skyrocket your total practice revenues, you simply MUST perform more valuable services. At the same time, you need to: * Systemize your practice to maximize efficiency. * Automate low-level, time consuming processes. * Delegate tasks of less value than your desired hourly rate. Representing taxpayers with an existing back tax liability is the single most lucrative tax practice opportunity I have ever found. With proper application of systems, automation, and delegation, even a solo practitioner can earn incredibly high hourly fees, and this manual will show you how. Inside The Complete Tax Resolution Practice, you'll discover... * How to maximize the lifetime value of your client relationships. * Best practices for getting paid by tax debtors. * Step-by-step processes for efficiently working collections representation cases. * Leveraging technology, checklists, and assistants to handle a high case volume. * Effectively marketing to obtain high-value tax resolution clients. * How to command hourly rates of $500 or more per hour as a solo practitioner, and thousands of dollars per hour in a multi-partner firm. This comprehensive manual covers all aspects of marketing to find clients, getting them to hire you, and working their case effectively and efficiently. This manual presents everything you need to know for increasing your annual revenues by any dollar amount you desire, whether that's $50,000 per year, or $5 million per year. Building a lucrative representation practice feeds new clients into the rest of your services, providing a steady stream of new clients from whom you can pick and choose the lifetime relationships you wish to establish. This comprehensive reference work includes complete, step-by-step checklists, complete marketing campaigns, extensive collections representation reference material, and numerous template letters for you to apply immediately to your own practice in order to increase revenues. Note: This reference volume combines the Tax Resolution Leadership Program manual and the Tax Resolution Systems manual. Book Dispute Resolution Under Tax Treaties

Download or read book Dispute Resolution Under Tax Treaties written by Zvi Daniel Altman and published by IBFD. This book was released on 2005 with total page 498 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As the interrelationship among tax bases continues to parallel the rapid development of the global economy, disputes among governments as to their right to tax international trade and investments under income tax treaties are expected to increase in number and scope. This study takes an in-depth look at the mechanisms used to resolve such disputes and how they interact with the interests of the various parties involved in the process. The study presents an analysis of the available literature, supplemented by statistical data from North America, Europe and Asia. Analysis of this data leads to interesting insights into the way the dispute resolution process functions when it is applied in different contexts. A comprehensive common framework of analysis, based on a checklist for governments, international organizations and taxpayers, is also developed in the study. This framework lists the main advantages and disadvantages of treaty-related international income tax dispute resolution procedures. The checklist is formulated with the aim to assist readers informing policies and in arguing positions, taking into account the subjective value given by each reader to each listed item. The study concludes by suggesting the creation of a new mechanism for the resolution of tax treaty-related disputes, and advocates, in part, the establishment of a new international organization with links to domestic judicial networks. This mechanism is then subjected to the same common framework analysis and checklist used in earlier parts of the study. The analysis suggests how such a mechanism would mitigate some of the most formidable challenges associated with the current dispute resolution procedures.

Book Taxpayers Rights

Download or read book Taxpayers Rights written by Duncan Bentley and published by . This book was released on 2007 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book argues that it is timely and beneficial to articulate a Model of taxpayers' rights as a guide to best practice in tax administration. It first finds a rationale for a Model in legal and rights theory and concludes that a Model is necessary, timely and a realistic option in the context of current developments in tax administration. Next, it articulates the principles that should underlie any Model. These are drawn from traditional analysis of tax systems and refined to provide a standard approach and interpretation. A classification of taxpayers' rights in the context of the type of enforcement underlying the rights provides the basis for a detailed analysis of enforcement mechanisms. The analysis is conducted in the light of recent developments in the application of constitutional law and alternative dispute resolution theory. The lion's share of this work comprises a detailed analysis and articulation of the primary and secondary legal and administrative rights that should be available to taxpayers in conjunction with a comprehensive framework of principles of good governance and good practice. A wide-ranging comparative analysis and synthesis of the substantial available literature in both law and other disciplines provides support for the articulation of a Model of taxpayers' rights.

This book was released on 2018-12-20 with total page 656 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Following each Member State's need to rebuild a strong and stable economy after the 2007 financial crisis, the European Union (EU) has developed a robust new transparency framework with binding anti-abuse measures and stronger instruments to challenge external threats of base erosion. This is the first and only book to provide a complete detailed analysis of the Anti-Tax Avoidance Package and other recent and ongoing European actions taken in direct taxation. With contributions from both prominent tax academics and Spain's delegates to the European meetings where these rules are debated and promulgated, the book covers such issues and topics as the following: – the development of the EU Strategy towards Aggressive Tax Planning; – recent tax-related jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice; – the Anti-Tax Avoidance Directive; – tax treaties and non-tax treaties with tax consequences both between Member States and between Member States and third countries; – code of conduct for business taxation; – automatic exchange of information; – country-by-country reporting; – arbitration in tax matters; – external strategy for effective taxation regarding non-EU countries; – competition and state aid developments in direct taxation; – the Common Consolidated Tax Base; and – digital significant presence and permanent establishment. As the EU pursues its ambitious tax agenda, taxation's contribution to EU growth and competitiveness and its part in relations with the rest of the world will come into ever clearer focus. In addition to its insights into these trends, the book's unparalleled practical information and analysis will be of great value to tax practitioners dealing with investment analysis, tax planning schemes, and other features of the current international tax landscape.
