Book The Practice of Nada Yoga

Download or read book The Practice of Nada Yoga written by Baird Hersey and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2013-12-17 with total page 211 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Meditation exercises for listening to the four levels of sound, to still the body, quiet the mind, open the heart, and connect with the Divine • Details the teachings on nada yoga from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika with clear, step-by-step instructions to find and hear the inner sacred sound of nada • Explains the 4 levels of sound through a series of practical meditation exercises • Includes instructions for a daily nada yoga meditation practice as well as ways to strengthen your advanced practice The ancient practice of nada yoga is not complex. It is the yoga of listening. It is a journey from the noise of the external world inward to a place of peace and bliss, to the source of the transformational power of sound--the nada. By meditating on the inner sacred sound of the nada, we can release ourselves from mind chatter and obsessive thinking. We can still the body, quiet the mind, and open the heart to create a state of mind where joy naturally arises. Sharing his experiential understanding of the classic Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Baird Hersey offers precise, step-by-step instructions on how to find the inner sound of the nada. He explains the first three levels of sound--first, how to truly hear the ordinary sounds of the world around us (vaikhari); second, how to quiet the sounds of the mind (madhyama), such as sound memories and internal dialogue; and third, how to access visual sounds (pashyanti), tapping in to our ability to see sounds and hear colors. Mastering the first three levels prepares one for the fourth level of sound (para), the heart of the practice that connects one to the inner sound of the nada. The author provides detailed exercises to guide you through each level of sound and instructions for a daily nada yoga meditation practice. Hersey explains that by focusing our minds on this internal sound we reunite our essential self with the eternal and infinite. In this re-union we find bliss in both body and mind, an uplifted spirit, and heightened states of consciousness.

Book Hanuman Chalisa Demystified Ancient Kriya Yoga Tantric Scripture

Download or read book Hanuman Chalisa Demystified Ancient Kriya Yoga Tantric Scripture written by Chandra Shekhar Kumar and published by Ancient Kriya Yoga Mission . This book was released on 2017-07-01 with total page 77 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ancient Kriya Yoga Tantric Scripture : Commentaries on Hanuman Chalisa as seen by The Divine Third Eye. This book is an outcome of inner revelations of mystical meanings of Hanuman Chalisa. Penning down itself was full of eternal vibrations which resembled as if being dictated by a Siddha. This journey was full of inexplicable ecstasy and joy, laced with complete surrendering to witnessing the state of Hanuman. It depicts transcendental qualities and attributes of this state in its totality. This body is just an instrument of meditation and the individual is nothing, the individual have nothing. Hanuman is a special state of Siddhas, the qualities of which are described by Hanuman Chalisa. A Sadhak passes through infinite number of states during his Sadhana. Period of stay in any state varies depending on the peculiarities of that state as well the predicament of the Sadhak. During this course, the outer symptoms may not be described and grasped as aptly as inner symptoms. Outer symptoms like trembling and/or levitation of body often lead to bewilderment and amusement of the beholder. Whereas being in the same state, it leads to calm acceptance and grasp of what is happening to someone else being in that state. Hence irrespective of the peculiarities and idiosyncrasies associated with various paths, the Sadhak finds himself in a special state all of a sudden, often termed as being at one place in Siddha Loka. Gradually, he realizes that there are infinite such states, hence places in Siddha Loka, one of which is Hanuman. It becomes clear to him that practice (Sadhana) is gradual, but being in any such state is all of a sudden, involuntary ones during early stages of Sadhana. There is no single prescribed path for Sadhana, simply because it varies from Sadhak to Sadhak, the root of which is often buried deep in one's Providence(Prarabdha). Hence no matter which path a Sadhak adopts for his journey to start with, he will get aligned to the best path, most suitable one for him, in due course of time, gradually. The single most important key is : Continue seeking in with utmost Sincerity and Devotion. Historians often attribute the composition of Hanuman Chalisa to Goswami Tulsi Das, whereas a Sadhak realizes, when time is ripe for him, that the particular Shabda is eternal, ever present, everywhere, perceptible to one only when one is ready during his course of Sadhana, including listening to these being chanted/sung by Siddhas, all the time, beyond the time. This book is dedicated to all Sadhakas.

This book was released on 2013-04-06 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All along Yogiraj Siddhanath's yogic journey, as years passed by, he practiced and moved into techniques that were most natural to him. With the grace of Babaji he developed a dynamic process of healing oneself and others. He called it Otprot-Surya meaning, "osmotic solar healing" and evolved the system of Surya Yoga, the science of pranic-healing with solar power. Prana is described in the Indian yogic texts and treatises as "the breath of life" or "life force energy"; a subtle element or entity underlying the fabric of all of creation, animating sentient beings with consciousness and life. It is the vibratory power that sustains us throughout our cycles of reincarnation, imparting life to all the different bodies we incarnate in. It is our soul potential, expressed in the human being as one's individual vitality. Knowledge of this majestic undercurrent and the science of channeling its awesome power, for pranic-healing and advancement along the evolutionary path to enlightenment, is the most cherished undertaking, unlocking the inner mysteries of soul and Divinity. Prana is "life" and pranayama is the yogic extension or control of the living impulse animating every atom of our universe. Prana is conveyed to our planet from the light of the sun and congealed in material form. Thus, for our planetary system, the sun is the source of prana. Likewise, in the course of pranic-healing, prana may be most effectively availed of through the rays of our sun since the highest concentrations of prana are found in sunlight. Prana is the life of oxygen, however this life-force is something more subtle than oxygen. Just as photosynthesis occurs in plants, a bioluminescence occurs in our bodies through the focused absorption of sunlight whereby we inhale and ingest the salubrious rays of the sun through the medulla oblongata called "the Mouth of God," and the third eye of Shiva, thereby rejuvenating ourselves. Like a conductor of this spiritual and healing impulse, pranic-healing through solar power is the dynamic process of tuning one's body to absorb the life energy of the sun. By its very nature, this evolutionary science deals with nature itself, delving into the roots of who we are and what we are made of, beginning with the source of energy from which life as we know it evolved, the sun. The life of every living creature on our planet is ultimately dependent on the sun. It is the primary source of nourishment, responsible for life itself. Similarly, it is our lineage to the divine source of knowledge via the cosmic entity of prana. This is the universal life force that awakens us and evolves us to our divine indweller. The technique of pranic-healing connects the solar heart of the individual and the giver of this life-energy for our planet, the sun. This is the spiritual absorption of pranic healing-light through the act of submerging oneself in the cosmic current that sustains the whole of creation. The body becomes sponge-like, tuned to facilitate the absorption of prana, as the total organism inhales and imbibes the healing light of the sun through the skin, lungs, and vital centers (chakras) of the subtle body. From the astral body, the entire network of subtle nerves (nadis) and physical nerves are fed with the luminosity of pranic light.

Book Original Kriya Yoga Volume II

Download or read book Original Kriya Yoga Volume II written by Rangin Mukherjee and published by . This book was released on 2017-02-20 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the second volume of a two volume series on the original Kriya Yoga of Lahiri Mahasaya. It picks up where Volume I left off, and explains more in-depth practices and advanced stages of Kriya. Countless Kriya Yogis tracing their lineage back to Lahiri Mahasaya have continued to disseminate the ancient practice of Kriya Yoga to new disciples, in India and in the West. Through a combination of mis-communication and intentional alteration, however, most of what is taught as Kriya Yoga today is far from what was originally taught, often to the detriment of sincere practitioners. In this short, but practical and experiential guide, Sri Mukherjee reveals the techniques of Kriya Yoga, as originally taught by Lahiri Mahasaya. Sri Mukherjee is the disciple of Sri Gyanendranath Mukhopadhyay (Mukherjee) who compiled the Pranab Gita from the teachings of his Guru, Swami Pranabanandaji. Swami Pranabanandaji is well known as the main disciple of Lahiri Mahasaya, and so what is made available here has not been altered through the distorting effect of formal organizations (which Mahasaya and Pranabanandaji both eschewed), but has been kept intact through the age-old method of direct guru-to-disciple transmission. Fearing the loss of the original Kriya Yoga as taught by Lahiri Mahasaya, Sri Mukherjee has generously written this book in order to record and share this most valuable of all human knowledge.
