Download or read book Prayer Revolution written by John Smed and published by Moody Publishers. This book was released on 2020-05-05 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are you praying constricted prayers or disruptive ones? Most prayers are constricted ones. They’re prayers that only focus on one part of the Lord’s Prayer: “give us our daily bread.” They’re usually focused on self and envision God as a heavenly caretaker. Disruptive prayers, on the other hand, are powerful, uncommon, and deeply biblical. They focus on God rather than self, seek to advance the kingdom, and submit all things to God. They are also prayed with a profound belief that prayer actually accomplishes something. When we pray disruptive prayers, that’s when the revolution begins. This book shows you how to equip leaders, fuel kingdom movements, and do real damage to the powers of darkness in the here and now. But most of all, discover how your own heart will be transformed as you begin to see how much bigger prayer, and God, is than you ever thought possible.
Download or read book Don t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table written by Louie Giglio and published by Thomas Nelson. This book was released on 2021-05-11 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Louie Giglio helps you find encouragement, hope, and strength in the midst of any valley as you reject the enemy voices of fear, rage, lust, insecurity, anxiety, despair, temptation, or defeat. Scripture is clear: the Enemy is a liar who will stop at nothing to tempt you into poor decisions and self-defeating mindsets, making you feel afraid, angry, anxious, or defeated. It is all too easy for Satan to weasel his way into a seat at the table intended for only you and your King. But you can fight back. Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table outlines the ways to overcome those lies so you can find peace and security in any challenging circumstance or situation. With the same bold, exciting approach to Scripture as employed in Goliath Must Fall and his other previous works, pastor Louie Giglio examines Psalm 23 in fresh ways, highlighting verse 5: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies." You can find freedom from insecurity, temptation, and defeat--if you allow Jesus, the Shepherd, to lead the battle for your mind and heart. This spiritual warfare book for those who are leery of spiritual warfare books will resonate with Louie's core Passion tribe as well as with Christians of all ages who want to live a triumphant life in God.

Book excerpt: We live in a unique moment in history. Right now, more people live in urban centers than ever before. This means that we have an unprecedented opportunity to influence the majority of the world through the church in the city. If you’re looking for motivation to maintain a commitment to the city or for guidance as you consider going all in, this book provides a comprehensive analysis of urban life that informs, instructs, inspires, and answers questions including: Why cities are so important What the Bible says about cities How to overcome common issues and develop a plan for living missionally in the city Instead of retreating from or taking from our cities, here is a call to make the cities our home, to take good care of them, and to participate in God’s kingdom-building work in the urban centers of our world.

Download or read book God creature revelation written by Jerry D. Korsmeyer and published by University Press of America. This book was released on 1995 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Educated Western Christians seek to understand the scientific basis of evolution as well as to justify why a God worth worshiping can be responsible -- yet not indictable -- for evil. The author creates an innovative theological framework that addresses these concerns and provides part of a structure for fundamental theology which is based on the neoclassical metaphysics of Charles Hartshorne and the speculative cosmology of Alfred North Whitehead. His model of the divine has three basic principles: God is love, God is the creator, and this creativity is an integral part of divine essence. From this model, he develops a fundamental theology which focuses on the nature of divinity, the interaction between human and the divine, and divine revelation. He attributes much of his own concept of revelation to Whitehead's model in which revelation is indicative of a successful communion between human and divine. This revelation is achieved through symbolic mediation and it is as much inter-personal reconciliation as it is a universal resonance of the creative essence between heaven and earth. This framework shows initial agreement with Christian traditions; it is highly coherent, universal in scope and, most importantly, it has rich potential for future Christian understanding.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book of Revelation is a foretelling of all future events that will happen here on the earth during these last days, and the fulfilling of these events will bring to a conclusion this imperfect world, its order, and its lifestyle as we know it. The book of Revelation gives us an advanced look into the future of mankind. The Bible tells us about all the things that will occur during this time period in history. The war that is now being waged by the devil and the kingdom of darkness, is for total control of Gods kingdom. God tell us that at end of this war the devil will lose and He will be victorious, and set up his eternal kingdom. This is the time for all who are not saved to repent of their sins and ask Jesus for salvation. It is also the time for all those who are backslidden to come back to Jesus and be restored while there is still time. For all of us, understanding Gods prophetic revelation is a first step toward being spiritually prepared for the last days, when we will finally escape this world through Jesus Christ and enjoy eternal life with him forever.
