This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 349 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Advances in Pesticide Science, Part 2: Synthesis of Pesticides, Chemical Structure and Biological Activity, Natural Products with Biological Activity is a collection of papers presented at the Fourth International Congress of Pesticide Chemistry, held in Zurich, Switzerland on July 24-28, 1978. This book is composed of forty eight chapters, and begins with the synthesis of pesticides. The succeeding chapters deal with heterocyclic synthesis by rearrangement, synthesis and transformations of nitrogen and sulphurcontaining bicyclic heterocyclic systems. These topics are followed by discussions on synthesis of bmc-analogous n-heterocycles from 1,2-, 1,3-, 1,4-, and 1,5- diamines. Other chapters describe the synthesis and herbicidal activity of 4-acylpyrazole derivatives, the synthesis and properties of plant growth regulators, the carboxyphenyl derivatives of five and six membered heterocycles and potential phosphorus-containing intermediates for the synthesis of pesticides. The final chapters consider the influence of antagonistic fungi on the spore-formation of rust fungi. This book will prove useful to agriculturists and organic chemists.

Book Natural Products

Download or read book Natural Products written by N. Takahashi and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 383 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pesticide Chemistry: Human Welfare and the Environment, Volume 2: Natural products covers the proceedings of the Fifth International Congress of Pesticide Chemistry, held at Kyoto International Conference Hall in Kyoto, Japan on August 29-September 4, 1982. The conference encompasses research topics in pesticide chemistry for increased agricultural production and for public health purposes. This book is organized into four main parts that reflect the main topics of the conference. The opening part deals with the chemistry, biochemistry, and physiology of bioactive natural products. Other chapters consider the synthesis of pesticides and growth regulators; chemical structure and biological activity; biochemistry of pests and mode of action of pesticides; and mechanisms of resistance and phytotoxicity. The remaining chapters review the metabolism, toxicology, and degradation of pesticides and xenobiotics, as well as the methodologies of pesticide residue analysis. This book will be of value to pesticide chemists, biochemists, physiologists, toxicologists, agriculturists, and public health workers.

Book Modern Sustainable Techniques In Total Synthesis Of Bioactive Natural Products

Download or read book Modern Sustainable Techniques In Total Synthesis Of Bioactive Natural Products written by Sasadhar Majhi and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2023-04-25 with total page 469 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Modern Sustainable Techniques in Total Synthesis of Bioactive Natural Products comprises five parts for green tools, such as ultrasonic waves, microwave heating, visible-light photochemistry, organic electrochemistry, and flow chemistry, along with 72 chapters for each bioactive molecule of natural origin. Each chapter explores the natural source, structure, systematic name, structural features, compound class, biological activity, conventional approaches for their chemical synthesis, and demerit(s) of conventional approaches (where applicable). Finally, critical features of total synthesis using modern sustainable techniques, including reaction types, synthetic strategy, and synthetic route utilizing modern sustainable tools for each bioactive natural product and secondary metabolites, are discussed brilliantly. The spectrum of application of total synthesis of bioactive natural products using modern sustainable techniques may promote the development of more eco-friendly synthetic processes so that the next generations can live on this planet with a minimum energy requirement for chemical reactions with the least pollution.
