Des mesures dilatométriques sur des échantillons de pyrographtite en présence de métal alcalin liquide en excès ont aussi été effectuées. D'autre part, la stabilité des composés d'insertion du graphite avec les métaux alcalins croit avec la masse atomique du métal. Il serait donc possible, à priori, de fonder une méthode de séparation des métaux alcalins sur les différences de stabilité des composés qu'ils forment avec le graphite. Nous avons donc étudié l'action d'alliages binaires de métaux alcalins lourds sur du graphite en utilisant la technique du "tube à deux boules". Nous avons cherché à déterminer le coefficient d'enrichissement dans le cas des systèmes ternaires graphite-rubidium-césium et graphite-potassium-rubidium."
